Lovely room, swimming pool overlook golf course and,near where animals roam Best part are the inclusive bird walks before breakfast and at sunset, game walks and game drives. Adam was real star at finding interesting birds We have been before and the food is consistently delicious. There are a couple of nice wines by the glass. It's flexible so that people can work there solo also, or attend conference, and they were v helpful with taxis. We stayed in the ensuring suite rooms, but have also enjoyed being in the bungalows. We will return.

WE had an extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped rooms a short walk from the main building which houses the restaurant and bar and has the aura of an Old English Country Club. The breakfast was included in price and had an extensive range of cooked items. Evening meals were of an equally high standard. There is a very comfortable bar with drinks at very reasonable prices. Free game drives were included with in-house zebras and a giraffe. Stephen our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and helpful in finding and showing a variety of local birds. Wonderful staff, so helpful and friendly

No complaints at all

The food was fantastic; the pancakes were some of the best we have ever had, and the lunch and dinner options were amazing. The game drive was great fun - it's not the Masai Mara or Kruger but it was great to drive around and see the giraffe, and a number of zebra and wildebeest - a great introduction to African wildlife. The staff were incredibly friendly. We will definitely return.

The swimming pool could have been a little cleaner, but was refreshing and a lovely option to have.

At Game Haven Lodge, the location in Blantyre's landscapes was a clear highlight. The rooms were well-designed, practical, and offered great views. Their efforts in sustainability were evident, which is a plus in today's eco-conscious world. The on-site restaurant served a tasty mix of local and international dishes. The real draw, however, was the wildlife experiences, made better with informative guides. The staff was efficient and friendly, ensuring a smooth stay.

The food was excellent and plentiful, huge portions, we often shared the main course. Staff are very attentive and friendly, no request was ever to much trouble. Accommodation was spacious with a comfortable bed. Hot water was always available and fresh towels every day.

The WiFi, having to repeatedly log onto the WiFi became annoying.

Breakfast was good and complete. Location is away from Blantyre city, in a way it's good, as it is quiet and peaceful from the maddening crowd. It's a nice family outing and worth to stay couple of nights to relax as well as enjoy the atmosphere.

Front office or the reception should improve, they need to welcome the guests in amore cordial manner, as most of the travelers drive long distance and reach the place to relax, hence a warm welcome always kicks the tiredness out and the place turns homely.

The cottage was absolutely lovely, a really cool place to relax and enjoy. Sitting on the veranda watching the animals and the sunset is very special. A mention for the staff too…lots of great people giving great service. The Lodge is isolated though - you definitely need a car to stay here.

Nothing to complain about

A great mini game park stay where a game drive, cycle, walk and swim were all inclusive of the price . The room was great with a huge comfy bed and lovely bathroom with both a walk-in shower and a full bath. The food was fabulous with huge portions! Amarula cheesecake is a must!! Really loved the game drive and walk and was happy to get tonsee the animals close up and in their natural habitat. A wonderful weekend break from Blantyre. So close but felt liek a different world.

That i hadn't seen the full board option when i booked. Next time! 😂

We loved everything - especially enjoying my morning coffee with the zebras! And my husband and son really enjoyed golfing with zebras too.

One negative - the pool was disgusting. Very dirty to the point that we could not go in it; it was green and scummy. Too bad as we were hoping to swim.

Every staff member makes sure you are looked after. Food was great and the activities during the day were great fun.

For a solo traveller there is not much to do in the evenings. A tv at the bar showing sports, a pool table or table tennis table would be good.
