The room was perfect for myself, and my daughters family. We booked this place for the toddler/child slide for my granddaughter, and ended up using the slide all night. So all of us adults showed the child what fun is about. The hot tub was immaculate when we were able to get in, and the bedroom had a wonderful view. I especially liked that it was up the road from Black Beach, as the last time my daughter and I were up here at the beach, this hotel was being built. It has exceeded my expectations in quality.

I'm not sure there is anything that we could have complained about. The beach was wonderful, mini golf, and the pool.

Great location right along Hwy 61, lots to do and see in the vicinity. There are no other hotels or development nearby, so it's a fairly quiet spot. Quiet by North Shore tourist-destination standards, anyway. :)

As some other reviews mentioned, pillows weren't very "fluffy," so I brought my own along, and I'm glad I did. I paid just under $300 for one night for a standard double queen room, which was high but not out of line with other North Shore hotels for our travel dates. It was a weeknight (Thursday), but the start of the statewide teachers' convention weekend, which is one of the biggest travel weekends of the year for Minnesotans, so I suppose I should've expected higher prices. (Checking rates online right now out of curiosity, and I'm finding a "best available rate" of $130 for a Thursday night double queen room, which is what I would generally expect).

The location was excellent as we were hiking in that area and didn’t have to travel far. The room was spacious and just what we needed. The checkin and out process was quick. We were on the first floor which was a bonus…no stairs to climb. The beds were comfy and the pillows great. We had a suite and there was a fireplace in the main bedroom…we didn’t need it but it was an added feature.

I feel that maybe the pullout couch either hadn’t been used for a while or wasn’t looked at recently. I found an old bottle of water under the mattress. The towels could have been a little softer.

Our kids loved the water slide, mini golf and close access to Black Beach. We stopped here to break up the long trip to the BWCA and are so happy we did. Bonus was that we could see the Silver Bay 4th of July fireworks from the hotel parking lot.

We loved everything here! Front desk help was wonderful. Breakfast was good. Location was right next to miniature golf and pizza which was fun

The water park slide was closed but didn't affect our visit or enjoying the hot tub.

The location was great, right in the middle of things to do. The breakfast was good with a lot of variety.

Our room had one queen size bed and bunk beds. Wasn’t expecting that thought we were getting two queens.

Breakfast was very good, location was amazing. We went for the black sand beach which was right next to the property. Easy to find off of the main highway.

The cost was pretty high for a basic stay. The pool was great but the amount of chlorine was nausea inducing after a few minutes.

Food was appealing tasted good. Location of our room, 115 was very nice in relation to our vehicle parking. Staff were nice.

Our sheets appeared to be burned. There were repetitious stain that appeared to be burns.. Perhaps from laundering (mangle). Bathroom sink was extremely slow in draining. My wife loves hot tubs. She thought yours was too warm. Dog dodo right outside our room. Careful where you stepped.

My wife and I did the mile slide challenge. Being over 45 and going down the slide 48 times was a great workout. Also, one can’t beat the location.

It was a very quick trip -- just checked in, chilled for a couple hours, slept and then took off. Didn't take advantage of any of the amenities. Check in was quick after I had to wait for quite a bit of time for her to deal with a problem with other guests. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. View (even with the rain) was beautiful.
