This location is perfect. You walk into town if you want or just hang out & swim either at the beach or anywhere along the boardwalk. The swimming is amazing. Everyone is friendly & helpful. You can eat breakfast, lunch or a snack at the cafe on the property which serves excellent home cooked food, coffees, cool drinks, fresh fruit juices & alcoholic beverages. You sit right beside the crystal clear sea, relax, eat delicious food & enjoy the most refreshing swim whenever you want. Close by, you have have great restaurants with delicious dishes & the cost is reasonable. There's also a supermarket within easy walking distance so you can pick-up a few supplies is you want. We were absolutely charmed in every way, the whole experience exceeded any expectation we might have considered & we'll definitely return as soon as we're able.

Fantastic location quiet but only a short 15-20 minutes into the lake area. Room was comfortable and beds really comfortable. Downstairs taverna was fantastic staff amazing and superb views. Room had enough supplies to cater basic for yourself. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would love to return another year. Fantastic to sed this place is still run by the same family as 45 years ago when I had my first visit

Maybe some more drawer space Info as where to put rubbush as cleaning / towel/ bedding change is done once a week Nothing else it was perfy

The staff were excellent and so friendly, it felt like visiting family. It is the perfect location for a stay in Agios Nicholous, right by the sandy beach, and a wonderful terrace straight into the sea. Very close to all the restaurants and bars and shops without feeling like you are in town but in a secluded part of heaven that is Crete! Loved it! The cost is cheap, and this comes with intermittent wifi and a happy and basic but also incredibly laid-back service. Which for me and my wife was exactly what we like. It was perfect. Booked for 3 days and stayed the rest of our time there. We loved it. Thank you so much for a perfect stay. You were all Wonderful! Xxxxxx

We really enjoyed our few days at this apartment. The location, right on the waters edge, was amazing! The family was so welcoming, with a gift of cake and the owner booking a restaurant for us. The property has a small bar on the sea where we enjoyed our ice-cold beer. It closes at night so that eliminated any noise. The apartment was pristinely clean and well equipped. We loved that it was a little way outside the hectic touristy part of town. Plenty of parking, too.

Seriously one of the best places I have ever stayed at. Wonderful location...wonderful staff - friendly, helpful and hospitable. I have stayed at 5 star hotels all over the world that could learn a lesson or two from the Polydorus- the apartment was clean, comfortable and a hop skip and a jump to a beautiful patio where the bar and cafe is situated overlooking the sea - where you could literally climb down the steps to swim or snorkel. However, you could take a short walk (a minute)? to the small beach to swim from there. The location is beautiful - but it is the staff who make this place so very special.

We had a wonderful stay at Polydoros Apartments - the location is absolutely stunning, not sure the photos really do it justice! The crystal clear sea is just a few steps from the apartments, right on the edge of the little snack bar so you can have a drink and then dip in and out of the sea. It's about a 2-minute walk to the nearest beach (which you can see from the apartments) and about 10-minutes into the town centre where there are loads of bars/restaurants/shops etc. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean with a really comfortable bed (and I'm usually quite picky on this!) and a balcony looking out to sea. The bathroom looked a little bit dated but I was pleasantly surprised by how good the shower was and there were plenty of bath towels provided for our stay (not beach towels - which we weren't expecting anyway - but make sure you take your own). The aircon in the bedroom was a godsend as it was 30C throughout our stay. The owner was lovely and made a point of coming to say hello as he hadn't been there to personally meet us when we checked in. The snack bar downstairs was also great - the staff were so friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed sitting by the sea having a drink and an ice-cream. We would definitely stay again. The apartment was comfortable and everything worked perfectly, but it's the location that makes this place amazing value for money.

We absolutely loved Polydorus apartments and the location, such a sensational beach with tables,chairs, umbrellas & a bar right on the water and also a sand beach if want to lie on a lounge/deck chair.

Could have had a few more utensils etc in the kitchen of the apartment.

I have stayed in the polydoris Many times the owners are absolutely the best, the location is a minute from the sea 2minutes from the beach. The food is superb,.

There is nothing at all to dislike, This is the only place I will go back to time and time again.

Good food, friendly staff, access to the sea directly from the property, comfy beds, free parking. Walking distance to the center of the city. A small safe in the room.

Next to a tennis court but the apartment is soundproofed. Small apartment size, but well organized. Toilet brush needs to be changed The door lock is temperamental.
