Very beautiful old building in a quiet part of the town close to the sea. The apartment was tastefully decorated and had a comfortable bed and good shower and the air conditioning worked well. It was a pleasure to return to the apartment to rest and an absolute delight to sit on the roof terrace and enjoy the views and the sunshine. It was very much like a paradise in age and style. Very helpful and friendly staff. Delighted to learn that the building next door is being renovated by the owners. Would stay here again on our next visit.

A minor thing - some of the crockery was chipped and the cups were either very big or quite small. We couldn’t find a light switch over the hob so it was a little dark. Nothing to stop me returning.

Cádiz is a city we hadn't visited previously, but we had a fabulous visit, in no small part thanks to this hotel and their lovely staff. It's a beautiful old building which they've sensitively restored so that they maintain the magnificent features but have all the modern comfort and conveniences. We had an apartment, which had living room, bedroom, bathroom and a kitchen area - so everything we needed for a stay of several days and they were all very well appointed. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring Cádiz, as you can walk to the waterfront for a promenade at sunset, or walk to all of the myriad of highlights in the old town - it's mostly flat and everything we wanted to see seemed to be less than fifteen minutes walk, so even my lazy old legs coped well. Aside from the waterfront, museum, cathedral, Roman Theatre, forts, market, shopping, delicious restaurants and tapas bars, the city also has so many lovely parks and plazas. If you don't know where to start, there will always be someone at the hotel reception who will have a street map available and is happy to suggest whatever it is that would suit your palate. They've got great, language skills and are always delighted to help. Don't forget to check out the lovely roof terrace where you can see the four towers from the name. If you've driven to the city, there's a car park 7 minutes walk away and they can add the fee to your bill - it's very reasonable too.

Literally nothing I can think of.

The historic nature of the building was very impressive. It felt entirely authentic without being overly fancy or prettified. We were on the third floor where the small balcony with the view of the plaza provided great light into the room. The rooftop terrace and views from there were incredible and available for all guests to use. The location of the hotel was perfect - a little on the edge of town and away from the more trafficked areas but easily walkable to all the main sights, restaurants and bars. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but there is a very nice cafe across the small plaza from the hotel. Most of all, every staff member was extremely pleasant and always helpful throughout our stay of four nights. We look forward to coming back next time in Cadiz.

The only minor complaint we had was that there could have been a little more surface area in the room to lay out our things. Otherwise, a wonderful stay at a gem of a place.

A beautifully restored historic building in the fabulous city of Cádiz. From the entrance to the patio and the rooms such huge care had been taken, it was like stepping back in time but with modern comforts. The roof garden was beautiful and the watch tower so charming. Staff were really helpful with advice and making reservations.

The access was up some quite large marble steps, as fitted the historic property. But I don’t know f there was an alternative more accessible entrance.

Fascinating history of the building and therefore fascinating history of Cádiz itself. The restoration has been beautifully done, old wood and doors and extraordinary original walls of fossilised stone. We were amazed! In the café/ bar there are booklets explaining the history of “Los Cargadores de Las Indias” and you can climb up to one of the towers to imagine what it must have been like to look for your ship to come in. We would like to return and see how the next stage of the restoration turns out.

- Locatoin perfect, quite part of the city. we arrived with a car and we could park in front to let get the luggage inside, the hotel provided a private parking at 5min from the hotel, we left the car there for the 3 nights. Everything was walking distance and a lot of the streets are pedestrian. - Staff: The recommendations from the staff were spot on! they are super nice and helpful, they provided towels for the beach, made us cocktails and also explained very well the best restaurants and the new Michelin starred ones that worth trying. - Room: confortable and very quite: the room was quite and dark, we had the best sleep!

Perfect location for exploring the old town of Cadiz. Great choice of restaurants within walking distance. Extremely helpful reception staff who went out of their way to advise a variety of places to eat and visit. Also provided coffee and cake on morning of departure before breakfast service started. Fabulous views from hotels rooftop terrace and from the top of the spiral staircase in their own tower.

Hotel entrance wasn't obvious..we almost missed it! Could only access one plug in the room to charge appliances.

This old restored building has been very tastefully completed using many of the old materials. The buffet breakfast is great with many locally made dishes, the girls running the reception are very helpful and friendly, with a good standard of English. Our room had a view of the sea with a ‘Juliette balcony’. The Sun terrace on the roof of the tower is a real bonus, the place to watch the sunset with a glass of cava.

Never judge a hotel by its number of stars! This little two star gem set in one half of the disputacion or trade facilitation building is one of the most charming hotels we have ever stayed in. Sited in the west end of the old town, near to the liner terminal, we could watch a different cruise ship arrive and depart every day. Comfortable bed and pillows!!!! Unlike the more expensive four star places we stayed in before and after which gave us both stiff necks and bad backs. Apparently original wooden shutters from the16/17 th century , modern, Spanish, plumbing, unlike the usual German and fantastic staff. Kind, friendly, helpful, with excellent recommendations for dinner. Full of antiques, it could hardly be faulted. There could have been slightly more choice for breakfast, but the receptionist on duty was likely to be making you coffee anyway.

The shower, though of a good size, had a dangerously slippery floor. Not quite sure why.

The building is being restored to a very high standard. Our room was equipped with traditional furniture, heavy wooden shutters and high quality linens. It was perfectly located overlooking a quiet pedestrianised street. The roof terrace had beautiful views and was a real bonus. The dining room is ornate and beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. They also spoke good English.

The indoor communal sitting room is a bit small.
