From the moment we acquired the key to the moment we departed, we were met with a sense of significance from all those employed at the hotel. The bed in our room was sublime and expansive, providing me with the most restful sleep in years. The shower was particularly effective in alleviating the aches and pains incurred during our exploration of the Cornish coastline. The culinary offerings were exquisite, and the bar offered a diverse and well-stocked selection of beverages. Given these exceptional amenities, there is no reason to consider alternative accommodations. I anticipate returning to this establishment should I find myself in the vicinity again.

Nothing.

Great base for exploring Cornwall as it is just a couple of minutes off the A30. Very friendly staff, good sized modern room, very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom with wet room shower and a bath. Breakfasts cooked to order and plentiful. We ate in the pub for the 5 nights, definitely above average pub grub. 3 courses plus a bottle of wine £50-60 per head. We would definitely stay again.

No complaints. Due to its proximity to the dual carriageway traffic noise is evident when outside, however this is not a problem inside the pub or in your room.

We were met on check in by Dee who we knew from our previous visits. She is always friendly and enthusiastic and walked us up to our room explaining the xmas menu etc. Xmas dinner was fabulous. Plenty of piping hot food and very tasty. Breakfast was the last thing on our mind the next morning as we had eaten so well the previous night but it was rude to miss it. Full Cornish served by the ever smiling Stewart, Everything on the plate is quality and cooked just like we have at home. Stewart is very attentive and a breathe of fresh air first thing in the morning. Check out by Jo was easy and a pleasure. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Nothing to dislike.

The food was lovely from breakfast and lunch to evening meals , central to all the activities we did whilst there, clean and comfortable room, staff were all lovely

We stayed for 6 nights, so having a different menue with different things on would have been good as we had most of what was on offer on the menue the specials were of the main menue as well with a slight difference but other than that the rest was good, we also had few spider webs in the room, so a little more the cleaning staff can do, dust a little more , we found several spiders in one night

Absolutely everything, the room we allocated on an upgrade was stunning, every detail accounted for. The restaurant & surrounding were lovely. The staff were so friendly - helpful & accommodating. Massive thanks especially to Jo at reception who could not of done anything more to ensure our staff was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble. I think Jo is an asset to the premises and albeit the location and interior of an establishment could be something that assists on guests returning - I am sure that the staff are a significant influence on the success of The plume of Feathers.

Nothing to say..

Virtually everything! Size of the room and en-suite bathroom were great and it was well decorated. Lovely shower with instant hot water and good pressure. Comfy bed. Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. Interesting menu and good portion sizes. Fab old building with well maintained gardens. Accepts dogs. Excellent place to visit and explore Cornwall. Will stay again.

We’re being very picky here but: - No light by the mirror / shaving mirror so difficult to see when putting on make-up / shaving - Please check for cobwebs / spiders in the ceiling corners and behind the toilet door - Would love to have some biscuits on the tea and coffee tray!

The rooms are really good, very clean , huge bath and walk in shower, sofa , queen bed , so so spacious, food was fabulous loads of choice and when you stay 3 nights you want a choice , breakfast all freshly cooked no buffet , a tip wake up a little early so you're ready for the full Cornish breakfast. Location is perfect away from the crowds , and a stones throw from Padstow, we travelled all the way down to Penzance all doable .When the locals eat there you just know........... The service was great , friendly and if you ask they are happy to help .....great team work.

Don't change a thing . Just Fab . We will be back we live in Devon so it's a really handy place. There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were exceptional. Food was great and portions extremely generous. The room was very nice, clean and spacious, very well, equipped. I don’t understand the idea of a shower with no door or curtain, it wasn’t necessarily a problem, but I didn’t care for it

The only bad experience we had was ordering a cocktail before dinner and the restaurant. There is a cocktail menu with five or six options, they are incapable of making any other type of cocktail. We both wanted to have a martini before dinner, they had no idea what a martini is, and we’re completely unwilling to make and serve us something that was not on their drink menu. We were told that they do not have an actual bartender, we suggested that whoever makes the drink Google a martini, they were unwilling to do so. They do pretty well with beer and wine, but not so much with other drinks.

Everything about the property, our room, the food and the staff all excellent, could not fault it. (apart from the low ceiling in the bar, mind your head if over 5' 7" 0:) ). We loved our 4 day break at The Plume of Feathers. The location was just perfect, slightly off the beaten track but close enough to explore many attractions in Cornwall. The breakfast was so delicious, we had so many choices mix and match options if we asked. The Sunday roast was fantastic and our evening meal was lovely. The staff are some of the best we have experienced in a hotel, what more can I say. Thank you for making our mini break so relaxing.

Couldn't fault it.

Other than the price, EVERYTHING. Peak season prices in cornwall are crazy. But this was one of the best we found. Their welcome to both ourselves and the dog were warm and friendly. The room was amazing. The bathroom….. best I’ve been in. Breakfast was beautiful and a very generous portion. Lovely bar area where we enjoyed a nightcap

Nowhere close to a well-lit mirror to do hair and makeup. Would have been a nice touch to have a small welcome hamper like the dog had! Any biscuits, crisps etc. It was very warm when we arrived. The room temperature was hard to control and underfloor heating would be better if there was a separate switch (it just needs a little boost to take the edge off the cold tiles). Still the best bathroom I’ve ever stayed in!
