Such a beautiful place just off of the road and set back in a lovely quiet spot. Very friendly staff and a beautiful room with plenty of space and facilities. I love the fact that I had my own room off of the main double room. Would be a great room for families with small children. Bonus is that they are dog friendly as well so I will be returning here with mine. Very nice food at a reasonable price and a good selection of drinks etc available. A really nice breakfast with help yourself to cereals, toast, tea, coffee etc and your main hot food order was taken and served fresh to your table. A good selection from the menu.

The staff were amazing and friendly. Room was cozy and good sized, easily accessible from the pub below. The food there was amazing, we enjoyed the meat-pies much more than the ones we got in London! Shower was great size compared to our other stays during the trip. There is a outdoor space to drink from the pub as well that is beautiful and scenic. Just a 10 minute drive to Bovington museum and the castle. We would stay here again!!!

kettle in our room had a lot of limescale which wasn't usable but not much of a bother as they offer tea right downstairs. Depending when you want to retire for the night there is some noise from the pub downstairs but nothing a little white noise couldn't drown out and it stopped by 0100.

We liked the size and decor of our room which had both comfort and style. Staff on our arrival where helpful and friendly, allowing us to leave our bags in the room we were being allocated before it was ready and long before check in time so we could attend a motorcycle event without paniers on etc. The pub itself has a large beer garden and if you had children with you, a nice play area for them but still allowing enough space for people without children to enjoy the space too. There was a group playing on the afternoon/evening of our arrival which was an added bonus while sitting outside enjoying a beer. We booked a meal in the evening which was good, and not over priced. Good selection of wines also available, again at fair prices. All the staff were helpful and friendly. We did have a bit of a wait for our meal but the bar and restaurant were very busy so to be expected.

Water pressure in the shower, needs to be increased.

The property is set in a lovely quiet, rural location and is a stunning old building. The main dining area is spacious and has a cosy area along with a games room. The outside garden area is huge and and to the front a large parking area. The menu has a sensible variation of choices and the food was very nice. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.

The breakfasts on offer were lovely, but could have done with a bit more variety like pastries, but that is just me! The accommodation rooms were spacious, but were very tired and in desperate need of updating. Having two single beds pushed together with mattresses that were not comfortable created a sharp ridge in between them, meaning not much cuddling up!

We stayed for a couple of nights over half term. It's a very nice property and our room was large, with a separate section and sofa bed for our daughter. The whole place had a lovely feel, the staff could not have been nicer and more helpful and the location was perfect for exploring the coast and Hardy country. We did the tank museum, Athelhampton House, Chesil Beach, Lulworth Cove and Durdle door in the two and a bit days we were there. Food is good and breakfast was great. Highly recommend.

There was a delay with dinner on one of the nights, but this was due to staff cancelling at the last minute and was handled well with offers of drinks on the house. Not their fault and they did what they could to mitigate.

A quiet and centrally located place to explore the Jurassic coast. The Staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was larger than we expected for a family room. Our bed was a superking size and very comfy which is the first time we have had one like our own at home which was a treat! The evening food was excellent as well as the various cooked breakfasts available and great coffee! Maybe minor to mention but very useful for children, we were entertained at night with a pool table and darts:)

As we stayed for a few days we would have liked to have had healthier food options like fruit/yoghurt for breakfast and salad options for the evening but I think this is quite common place for pub food offerings. The service after our main meal was non-existent so we needed to find a waitress to order our puddings. Whilst the bathrooms were in keeping with the character of the rooms, a thermostatic mixer is needed for the showers - the adults and children struggled to find the right temperature quickly.

I understand fully it is a pub. But in the rooms the noise of chatting from downstairs could be heard a lot. The music was very loud. The smell of people smoking on the veranda came into where food was being eaten. At night people smoking on the veranda, the smoke came in through the bedroom windows. If the designated place for smokers was away from the side of the building it would stop it being sucked into the rooms. Had to shut all the windows.

Friendly helpful staff . Good room with TV/tea making facility very clean and well stocked bathroom (bath mat and plentiful towels etc, easy parking, good food with varied menu and great choices for breakfast. Short journey to Lulworth Cove Lulworth CathedralDurdle Door and Swanage . The staff clearly enjoy their work and the Owners similarly respect their staff . Super accommodation for a 2/3 night stay.

Pretty much excellent. Great accommodation, location, food, drink & dog friendly.

Only mix up was over breakfast, which was supposed to be included. As I leave for work early, I always expect to skip, but left my wife at the property to enjoy hers a a more sensible hour. Unfortunately, despite asking twice as to when breakfast was served until & when the quietest time to come down was with the dogs, she ended up with no breakfast either as a staff meeting was being conducted in the restaurant.

Very comfortable, Daisy the waitress was nice and gave us some tips of places to visit with our dog. Friendly staff and good location. Our dog especially liked the sausage for breakfast each morning and he was made to feel welcome. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The mid week carvery on the Wednesday was plentiful and tasty. We ate in the restaurant 3 times and each time it was reasonably priced and good food. Great selection of real ale.
