The Gem is central. Larger room was great. As my home town originally it was nice to see Griffith have a little more upmarket accommodation. Have guided friends to stay with you and they were impressed.
We changed rooms due to the small size. We upgraded to a larger room and cut our stay by one night.(101-111).This I believe was caused through booking with booking.com. We were told there was only two rooms left so we booked the mini queen. A learning curve..... Shower recess floods very easily. Maybe smaller pillows available but lovely room overall.

Has a bar downstairs, the rooms are nicely appointed, good restaurant downstairs, and useful desk for working in your room, big TV.
It’s in the main street of town and there’s a lot of noisy cars on the weekends so if you’re staying on the main road side it’s not super peaceful Friday or Saturday nights in particular. Call ahead if you are in a group - they will say their system does not auto allocate a booking for 2 rooms near by each other, lucky our child is a teenager, but if you wanted seperate rooms for your children, call ahead before your told at the checkin desk too bad so sad.

Great location - walk to everything. Staff friendly, professional & helpful.Restaurant was quieter than many even though it was almost full. Great food & service. Room very comfortable with loads of storage, well lit bathroom & generally well designed for guest comfort. Our room had a kitchenette which was excellent. Luxury feel. Secure parking (not many spaces)
Everything was great. Just had to wait to check out as no staff at front desk. No freezer in bar fridge so couldn’t freeze our blocks for keeping food cold on travels.

Great spot to stay, Central near good restaurants and close to everything you need, even a short walk to the local pool for laps. The Hotel restaurant was superb. one of the best cooked rare steaks I have ever had. Melt in the mouth. :)
It is Country NSW so a lot of Spidey webs outside. Need a clean on the exterior of the top floor windows. Was quit "warm" on Level three as you got out of lift, was fixed 2 days later when I went stayed again. apart from those minor details a great little "pub".

The beds were super comfy. The hotel is located on the main street and close to all shops/restaurants. There was a Punjabi festival on while we were there which was interesting to see. The staff were very friendly, and promptly called us when we had left behind some of our belongings, keen to assist us to have them returned.
There was a mix up with our booking and we were charged an extra night. This was fortunately refunded with no issue. The main street can be noisy and the lights very bright, however sun block curtains were available.

Comfy bed, helpful and kind receptionists as usual. Location is perfect, I highly recommend Station 4 for breakfast and Giuseppe if you like Italian food.
Well a little minor issue was being charged twice, once prior to my stay through booking and then by the hotel, luckily I check my bank statement regularly. Unfortunately for me it happened at the beginning of my holiday, so so now have to wait for money I need to enjoy my vacation but that’s okay. Another little thing was that we ask the reception to book us a taxi in the morning to drive us to the airport and it never showed up, luckily we found another taxi company and the driver was here in five minutes. But these are hiccups and I’d still come to this hotel, it’s really nice.

My partner and I always choose the Gem when we go to Griffith. Amazing staff, perfect location, and you sleep like a baby, I can only recommend.
I think for the price paid, a proper coffee machine would be the minimum to add, with real coffee pods (like Nespresso). Not the instant coffee. Another thing, the bathtub is not convenient to relax (too big so you fall in it, and painful for the neck), very beautiful and lovely design, but not practical to use at all.

Beautiful hotel, very modern, great location and amazing restaurant and bar next door. close to everything on Main Street. Great staff for the most part. Stayed here last year - staff really made an effort to move room to a better position.
Two easy fixes. Reception - make or break for guests - one of the staff members was not so friendly this time when checking in plus took so long and was waiting on me to help prompt her, forgot to ask for my bags made another big deal about putting away - it was very awkward and embarrassing. Very strange experience and rude/sarcastic staff member. Staff forgot to bring my bags to my room. Someone had the great idea to smoke in their room late at night 10pm or so, and it set off all the evacuate alarms - everyone had to go downstairs and wait, not allowed to rooms - people in stairwell. Staff should have handled this better for guests - was treated as a bit of a joke and very casual explanation.

Firstly, I booked a TRIPLE room and was told upon check-in that there were NO triple rooms available. This was really a surprise considering my booking clearly stated a triple room for 3 x adults. The person at the counter tried to make me pay for an additional room and/or an additional person in a double room. I would like this addressed by BOOKING.COM as it was very embarrassing considering the queue for check-in was getting longer. I feel that complimentary drinks in the bar or future discount with booking.com should of been offered.

The location was perfect - right on the Main Street - and had all the facilities you could dream of. Loved the excellent wifi and TV in our rooms. It satisfied my cricket loving, tennis loving spouse and kids - as we were travelling during Wimbledon and Test match. The mattresses were perfect and linen amazing. My husband wanted me to check where the pillows were from he loved them so much. The mini bar was fabulous too. We all loved the scent of the bathroom amenities too. Everything all in one location. Utterly brilliant.
Honestly - I would be hard pressed to find any problems. The breakfast was amazing and the food in the restaurant catered for all tastes (we had a vegetarian travelling with us). No ice in the mini bar was one downer - I love ice nearby - and no I am not American - I just like a few blocks of ice in my drink.
