Our stay at the hotel was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, Raquel, the receptionist, greeted us with exceptional kindness and attention. She made us feel at home right away, always showing great professionalism and a genuine concern for ensuring that we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Her willingness to help us at all times and her warmth were key in making our experience so positive. Additionally, we want to highlight the exceptional culinary offerings at the hotel. Jordi Jacas, the owner and heart of the restaurant, impressed us with high-quality dishes that made every meal a memorable experience. His passion for cooking is evident in every detail and is a significant part of what makes this place special. The hotel offers a welcoming atmosphere and personalised service that made us feel very well taken care of. Suite room is great, I advice to book it, very clean environment, extremely comfortable bed, possibility for cot. Amazing breakfast, tasty and variable. Personal is nice. Food in restaurant is good. Is a good place to disconnect for couple of days. 4 min by car to the parking near nice beach, also 4 min by car to the city.

If you want to go to the city you have to go by car, as the way to city is shared with cars. There are only stairs (but since it was mill before, there is no way to have elevator). Swimming pool would be great addition. Also since hotel is shared with restaurant, it is not always possible to park car on the territory directly.

We had an upgrade and the room was amazing. The bed was the most comfortable one we had been given in 2 weeks of travelling and we slept very well. The food for dinner and breakfast was superb. The ambience was fantastic, the property beautifully renovated and it was safe and quiet. The dog had pleanty of room and he also settled very well which was unusual but fantastic. Outside we sat looking over the millpond, and saw turtles, a snake (not harmful) ducks and fish. It was a lovely afternoon spent sitting in the shade sipping wine and chilling out.

The shower bowl leaked all over the bathrom floor and there weren't enough towels to mop it up :-( not helped by me then knocking over the dogs waterbowl!!

This hotel had the charm of being in the country with all the modern amenities. We booked a junior suite which was spacious and it had a loft that we did not need to use. There was a doorway that was low, and my 6 foot husband bumped his head a couple of times, so watch out. The staff was super nice and helpful. We loved the large wood burning fireplace in the common area. We had dinner and breakfast here and the food was quite good. Highly recommend this hotel.

Not really a negative of the property, but we came during the off season, so the town was a bit deserted.

This is a very nice hotel in an old beautifully refurbished flour mill. It's located just outside of L'Escala but very much within walking distance from the town center or beaches. It also sits on local walking and biking trails so you can start them from your doorstep. We booked a superior double but ended up in a junior suite. This particular junior suite is not in the main building but in a separate building adjacent to the outside dining and lunch area. We stayed there in the offseason so there was no outside eating but I can imagine that in summer the terrace causes a lot of noise when you are in your room and people are eating and chatting right next to you. The room is fitted for disabled people with a ramp, a large open shower but also a toilet without any separation from the rest of the room. The mattress is on the hard side and wifi is not super but it does the job. There's also a safe, a fridge and a sofa. I don't know the high season prices but the low season prices are actually on the low side so for us this was a bit of a steal. To top things off: there is also a high end restaurant for fine dining on site.

The toilet situation might feel awkward for some.

This place is a gem. The service is friendly and professional at the same time. The food is excellent and vety good value. We enjoyed the gourmet dinner with local wines. Breakfast was very nice too and with a different spread than the usual. We felt very welcome with our dog, which was allowed everywhere in the hotel and restaurant. We will definitely repeat

Room was rustic style but luxurious. It was separate from the main building which also seemed equally beautiful. The breakfast was a stunning buffet of fabulous fruit, sweets, meats and cheeses. Very high quality. We had a fabulous meal at a reasonable price. Public transport from Girona where we flew into - infrequent but very comfortable and cheap. 2-3 minute walk to hotel from the bus stop. 10 min walk to the beach.

I was happy with everything. Other restaurants were probably about 15 min walk away, but the hotel restaurant was way better value for the same price as one other we tried.

Awesome place to stay, rooms are very comfy, we swapped to a bigger room for our second night, which was great with a view of the garden. The staff is very friendly, beds are extremely comfy, everything you need is there. Food at the restaurant is awesome, the chef is doing a great job, fresh seafood, veggies and good wines to combine. Eating in their garden is lovely.

Coffee machine (for free use, shared for the house) was out of service during the days of our stay. Disappointing breakfast, medium quality on high price (at least when trying during the week; didn't try again on any further day).

We arrived quite late after a delayed flight but the staff couldn't do enough for us. They kept the kitchen open for us even though we ordered just 15-minutes before the restaurant was due to close, and the food was amazing! Fantastic stay.
