Sweet little room. Spacious with glider rockers in the room and rocking chairs out on the front "porch"area. The babbling brook behind the room was soothing. The staff that greeted us were so kind and they had towels for bikers to use to wipe down the bikes after the rain. Nice touch! Also, the room was pitch black at night! We just loved that!
Maybe a few more pillows. Trying to sit up in bed watching tv was a little rough with the wrought iron headboard. Super pretty but rough on the back when sitting up. We did find some extra pillows in the closet but just not quite enough fluff to them. Overall, really liked the room.

The motel is an older building. The room was a good size. We had a queen room with a bathroom. The bathroom was so clean it sparkles. The room was clean, and the bed was okay. It is a bit dated, but they have painted and tried to make it look nice. It had two comfortable chairs, a table and chairs and a desk. The hotel staff, (owners?) were so sweet. There is a sitting area in the back where you can sit and listen and watch the swiftly moving creek. It was very nice. Plus there are rocking chairs out front, and it was so pleasant to sit out and watch the traffic. The ladies at the front were so very nice. Bring an assortment of clothes, it can be 40 or 90. You just never know.
Only real problem for us was no bedside table for my cpap on my side of bed. There was one on my hubby's side. (we used desk chair) We had to buy an extension cord because in the 60s people didn't use so many electronics for cpap.

I loved this motel. It was so quaint and well looked after. Our room was spotlessly clean. The lady at reception (sorry I've forgotten your name!)was really friendly, welcoming and answered all our questions about the area. Great location away from the busier parts of the Great Smokys. Only a short drive from the spectacular Waterrock knob trail and overlook. Beautiful sunsets. Also near the spectacular Soco Falls. There was a really lovely creek at the back of the motel with somewhere to sit and relax. We also met the dogs!
My only regret is that I couldn't have stayed longer :(

My room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The only reason I cannot give my stay an excellent rating was the poor condition of the mattress. It was obviously very old, it sagged in the middle and there was no way to find a comfortable spot to sleep on.
It is apparent that the owners have spent a lot of time and effort keeping their motel clean and the rooms well equipped. I would definitely make a return visit next time I am in the area if I could be assured that my room has a quality mattress that is not still in use well past its replacement date.

I was happily surprised at how nice the facilty is. It has been there for decades, but is still is good repair. The staff is friendly and knows a lot about Maggie Valley.
The room was perfect for me as I was gone more than I was there. Someone who plans to spend most of their time in the room might like a larger TV screen and softer towels.

Even though the property is on the main road, it was very peaceful. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and the rocking chairs outside of the room. The smallness of the property had a cozy feel. We met several people and enjoyed conversations with them, which is something you don't get at a larger facility.
There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

Loved everything about this motel! The cleanest I've ever been in! The staff makes you feel at home. We hated to leave, but we will definitely book here again. The creekside rooms are awesome! We arrived a day early but they had a creekside room available. They also changed our reservations from the street side rooms to the creekside. It is centrally located in Maggie Valley as well. We loved it here so much we told the owners we wanted to live there permanently!
There was nothing to dislike!

Very comfortable and located in the heart of Maggie Valley. The owner checked me in and could not have been nicer. They provide towels specifically for wiping down your motorcycle in the morning. This will be my “base of operations” the next time I’m in Maggie Valley.
Nothing to say here. It is an older, privately owned establishment, so don’t expect the Hilton. That said, it was immaculately clean and very comfortable.

Everything except the toilet was too low and small but when I asked the manager she said it was from 1950's. And they were going to at some point to replace all of them. But I was able to make it work. I loved it over all and will be back in the spring. I recommend this motel.
See above but I made it work.

Was happy with everything! The location is perfect, right in the middle of town...the staff was absolutely amazing. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming! The room and property was very clean and very large! It is "older" in the sense of the style, almost like visiting a family member. Bed was very comfortable. Nice rocking chairs out front and Jonathan Creek in the back. Would definitely stay again no question! They had the fire pits going in the evening and even had an ice cream social one of the nights! The pictures are an accurate depiction of the room that we stayed in.
There was really no negatives for us! The only thing that some people may have issue with is a smaller TV. Mainly because the room was so large :) It was of no concern to us because we were rarely in the room.
