Sadly we arrived in the rain, visited in the rain and left in the rain so this hotel and area was not at its best for us. The staff were wonderful, the beds and shower were amazing. The speciousness of this apartment was appreciated. The meal in the pub was great and the resident cat, Earl, was gorgeous.

The weather and the sandflies. Neither of which the hotel was responsible for. The room was an accessible room (not that we needed the accessibility) and I am not a fan of accessible bathrooms. However, the shower was fantastic!

Great character place. It was really handy having the bar and restaurant on site, delicious food! The fireplace was also very welcoming too! Lovely and clean with great comfy beds.

Only thing, our shower was wheelchair friendly and the design makes the whole floor wet, a real pain when you want to pop in and use the toilet! Perhaps get longer shower curtains to the floor and that should help to really contain the water. Another option is to get movable shower heads so you can point them down to the ground, as they currently point more outwards. The water pressure was really great though!!

Such a great country pub atmosphere. Amazing dinner meals, with gluten free options. Pool table, darts board. On the corner of the "main roads", easy to find from either direction. Super friendly staff. Huge sized rooms. Queen and single bed in one room, 2x singles in another room - all one unit. Little table and chairs outside to eat your breakfast or sit with a coffee. Lots of bird song, and lovely plants.

Loved the hotel location. Really lovely room overlooking the garden, spacious enough for 2 people. Nice outdoor seating area. The beds were really comfy and the fridge was very useful. The restaurant/ bar had plenty of room as well as a lovely garden to dine outside. The menu was well priced with delicious mains and desserts. The fish and chips and steak thoroughly recommended. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

Maybe something could be done to eliviate the bathroom floor being flooded when having a shower. It's a wet room but the water even goes around the toilet making it a wet and slippery floor.

No breakfast required. Locality. Basic needs were covered without frills or flounces. Quiet locale. Evening bay meal very tasty , plenty to eat and served hot.

It was basic which was reflected in the price in comparison to more modern places. Chair seat at writing desk was frayed right through to the original old material. Very tatty .

Staff were very accomodating and helpful. However the shower flooded the bathroom and so we needed to ask for more foot towels to mop up the flood. Perhaps the shower curtains need to be longer to mitigate the flood.

The shower flooded the whole bathroom which isnt good. We needed more foot towels to mop up the floor.

Quiet, park at the door, spacious

Not enough bench space for making food and kitchen facilities mediocre. Shower floor was level and flooded toilet area
