This well presented property is the perfect destress accommodation you will ever find. Liz was an incredible hostess, waiting for us and being available whenever we had questions. There aren't many activities around the area but that's OK. Horse riding is a few kilometres away at the Pig and Pony, and you can enjoy wonderful food there as well. The accommodation has 4 bedrooms all ensuite with 5 star beds and linen. The lounge, dining, and kitchen areas are massive, and 8 people could find lots of space to relax and enjoy the facilities. The fridges and cooker/oven are huge and can easily accommodate a week's stay of groceries and cooking for 8 people (we were only 6) The two farm dogs will pitch up and "insist" on belly rubs, cuddles and whatever you have to offer. Be prepared for a real delight of a symphony of farm noises from donkeys, sheep, birds, cows, and frogs... all add to the awesome experience. There is a local shop where you can get most of your needs, including basic medications, and if you really need to, Underberg is 35 minutes away with everything else you may need.

The property was very well appointed. Stunning views and very luxurious. The creativeness from the cleaning staff and our fluffy white towels was cause for great laughter. The cleaning staff did an amazing job each day to tidy-up and get the house ready for our return. We were very happy with everything.

My communication via Booking.com for early check-in did not reach the Host. We had to wait an extra 3 hrs before occupying the premises. However, the Host did apologize with a complimentary gift. Bookings.com, you need to do better with communicating special requests with your Hosts. The road to get to the accommodation was in a poor condition. This should be seen to.

What a lovely and comfortable stay. The house was well equipped and the hosts helped us ensure that we had everything we needed. They went above and beyond. The view of the mountains right from the covered patio was breathtaking and we so enjoyed watching the sheep move through the pastures everyday.

We would have loved an extra day or two. Be prepared to be away from cell service as the connection is spotty. It was nice to be disconnected for a while.

Extremely friendly & accomadating owners/hosts. The cottage was cozy, clean and fully equipped with everything needed for the duration of our stay. The cleaning team was on the ball and carried out their duties thoroughly. We really appreciated the extra touches they added to make our stay special. The cottage has crisp and clean air as it's in the midst of the mountains. Beautiful views. There are sheep on the farm and we were privileged enough to witness new born lambs, and we got to carry them too. A precious moment you won't get at many places. Bushman's Nek is also close by and we were able to use their facilities & games room which we especially liked.

The road leading to the cottage is a long stretch of gravel

Everything from the good welcoming service of the host to the facility. Its on the main road. We visited to enjoy my birthday on the 15th and we did enjoy. You will never miss it on the road. Everything was exceptional well and exceeded my expectations. The house is spacious and all rooms have ensuites. The kitchen is beautiful and spacious. All kitchen equipments were kept neatly in an order. I couldn't believe it myself. Woods were provided for all rooms and they have heated beds. Rooms were neatly done everyday, clean towels were provided. Surely I will be back with my mom and my siblings soon.

Nothing actually, but they can consider having an outside pool in future.

Bergview Cottage is gem of a place. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a fireplace in each room. All 4 rooms also have an en-suite bathroom. It is a quiet , idyllic, beautiful cottage. Cozy and comfortable. I was so impressed with the daily towel “art” on our beds!!!!

Natasha greeted us warmly and was extremely helpful with the whole booking process and during the stay. The beautiful scenery, peace and quiet, the sheep and lambs. comfortable house with everything you need. Wood fire places. You are allowed to use all the amenities at the nearby scenic Bushman’s Nek resort. There is tennis, badminton, swimming pools, quizzes and a good restaurant. We also did a hike in the nearby reserve - the river is sparkling clean with some small waterfalls at the start. A visit to Pig and Pony is definitely worth it if you would like a pony ride or more adventurous out ride. ( all the staff are very helpful). Definitely recommend this place!

There was load shedding during our stay, but this affected the whole country.

Lovely cottage very friendly helpful staff, especially Natasha. Could do with a dishwasher and washing machine and some serving bowls. Otherwise, we had a great Christmas there.

The road to the farm is not great in a small car.

Cottage was very spacious, and beautifully decorated , and we enjoyed interacting with the new lambs and mommies..And a great big thank you to the host for allowing us to stay another night at a discounted rate ,and we got to see the snow...

Everything the cottage offered was delightful. The scenery and the quiet surroundings were a joy. Though it was cold, we really appreciated the fireplace in each room, gas heater, and electric blankets. Made our stay even more special. Can definitely recommend it to others.
