It is incredibly beautiful and well maintained. The stuff is kind, helpful and competent. Located in the heart of Chinatown close to all facilities and attractions but at the same time the rooms are quiet and you can have a good and peaceful rest.

The location was fantastic!!! The vibe, energy and buzz with the street market at night in China Town was just amazing! The live music every night at the RedRose restaurant was great.The musicians were very very good and it just created this cool vibe. This is definitely one of the best hotels I have stayed. I would stay here again if in Bangkok. The staff were fantastic…especially Korn and M!! They were super helpful and attentive, Korn helped organise transportation a couple of times for me. The room was beautiful, the decor and attention to detail!

The size of the room and the bath were massive. I could say this hotel has the best location of China town. Well decorated, I felt like I was in China during our stay. Service were top notch. Fantastic vibe at the bar near the lobby, they had live music and cocktails were delish ;)

Breakfast selections, I found it quite weird but other people might find it unique.

Room and hotel ambiance was delightful. The shower products were of a high quality. Lovely little added extra.

DO NOT BOOK TOURS THROUGH THIS HOTEL. Staff advised they could book tours on check in. We decided to book a tour by boat of the golden Buddha and Royal Palace. We were quoted 2000 thb each. We expected an inclusive tour with guide. We got a boat ride to two spots. No tour guide, no entrance fee. That was all extra. On the boat we met another couple who paid 1000tbh each and were also disappointed. For similar price range we have been able to book whole day tours with guides inclusive of transport including boats. It amazes me that such a lovely hotel allows its staff to book substandard tours for its guests.

The hotel and rooms are beautifully decorated, you really get the chinatown art deco vibes. Breakfast was amazing, not just an omelet station but a noodle soup station with noodles soup made fresh for you. It was great to get to taste both dumplings and chinese cakes as well as the standard breakfast food. There was great selection and variety. The location is perfect for exploring this part of Bangkok and getting a bus to go down town was easy. Loads of street food and great restaurants just outside the door. We also went down some side streets and found some great cocktail bars. We had a great time.

We got a room without real windows, that made waking up a bit more annoying and I do actually think that the rooms without windows should be cheaper than the ones with.

We stayed in a suite on level 2 at the back, the first couple nights the room was quiet but after that it was noisy at times. Situated on the main street of China town, a great location. Breakfast had a good range of Cooked & cold food, they freshly cook eggs & omlettes. The cooks need to learn to keep the cooked food covered & not leave the lids up so it is easier for them to see whats needed, a lot of the cooked food was cold & lukewarm.

This is my second time staying in Shanghai Mansion BKK after the covic, still is my first choice in BKK, good location, great lobby lounge with live band every evening, nice Shanghai vintage style for the whole hotel, great breakfast to enjoy every morning. The room was amazing, didn't make me feel like staying in a room, more like a studio apartment and at the same time don't miss the hotel MASSAGE, really a relaxing and memorable experience. The hotel is also located in CHINATOWN, It is so convenient to have great food around and a nice street view, I never feel hungry all the time here. Last thing to THANKS for arranging a flower and romantic deco for my girlfriend's birthday when we check in to the room, that's AWE SOME 👍👍👍

OMG !!! The hotel is just exceptional regarding everything it includes : design, front desk staff, cleanliness…. I have stayed at various hotels but this one really wows me. Being well-located in China Town and pretty close to the MRT so getting around becomes really convenient. The front desk staff are so accommodating, one of them she helped me with the grab driver due to the fact I’m unable to speak Thai even I lived in Bangkok before. The room is capacious and the bathroom is spacious too . Big thanks to all the staff who make my trip unforgettable. I will absolutely come back here and also introduce this property to my family and friends.

The location of this hotel is really fun; it's in Chinatown so there are lots of restaurants, massage businesses, street food, and night markets right outside the door. We only had breakfast in the hotel once and then decided that it wasn't worth it to pay for a breakfast buffet because we couldn't eat enough to make it worth it. However, there is a Starbucks right around the corner so if you just want real coffee and a croissant, this is the place to get it. The hotel itself is charming; I read it described as "opium den chic" and it has that feel. The furnishings and decor are comfortable and colorful. The hotel has a restaurant and bar in the front so it is quite lively at night.

Great hotel and I would definitely stay there again. However, the rooms that we stayed in (we booked at the beginning and at the end of our time in Thailand) did not have windows to the outside which is a bit disorienting. We were told, however, that the hotel is going to be remodeled soon so that there will be windows.
