Best value place I've stayed at this far, especially in Mexico where prices are skyrocketing. The location is in the centre, 3 minutes walk from the historic Mercado and 7 minutes from the main plaza. Coffee is made for free within the dinning area throughout the day and filtered water is also available free of charge. There is also a microwave and fridge and soap and shampoo along with towel are complimentary. The rooms were cleaned every day too. The staff were excellent and the all-round ambience, decor and fauna were delightfully designed. There are multiple common areas, one with a TV, chess and sofas, one outside courtyard and a dinning area. The Room contained a desk, lockers, clothes rail, and ensuite bathroom, where water is always available. There are a variety of room, however, a shared room is a very reasonable 150 pesos. Everything about this property is exceptional. Would 100% recommend to all.

Fantastic location, friendly staff, clean and quiet at night. Such a great price in a beautiful old building with lots of lounge areas. Filtered water and delicious coffee available at all times.

Rooms next to staff kitchen were a little noisy during break times. No kitchen, just a microwave and fridge that was locked. No cutlery or plates.

Great location. Good value for money. Nice dorm rooms with individual bathroom for each room. Daily cleaning of the room was great.

The noise coming from inside the hotel especially for rooms facing the courtyard which is the one of the rooms I had. Quiet time should be implemented as the noise ( e. g. people talking, footsteps of people taking the stairs, main door/gate opening) can be heard from the room. Management and staff should also be mindful of this noise problem because during my stay some of the noise came from staff and management talking or doing an activity , like showing a new guest a room late at night, that created the noise and can disrupt the rest of their guests.

I love this place , have come here repeatedly, and hope it will always be there for me. The blankets they gave me were so cozy, I slept like a baby. The shower has good spray (so many don't) and hot water. Water available to refill my bottle and helpful staff.

Could be so much more even with some comfortable couches and fun paintings on the walls.

Staff friendly and helpful. The dorm bed was super comfortable and loved having the en suite bathroom. Good base to access the town or visit the museum.

Nothing really apart from being very quiet but that was ok.

Beautiful historic guesthouse (hostal, not hostel). Paid for a two-bed shared room, but ended up having it to myself after the first night. Everything in immaculate condition, best value in all my Mexico travels. Easy half km walk from the city center and shopping district, and there is a gorgeous park a few blocks away. Lots of eateries in the area, tremendous variety. Kickass hot shower, spacious open-air common area and indoor TV room. Helpful staff. Secure rooms with lockers. Curtains make it great for sleeping in.

The outside street is very busy, but noise is muted inside. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

I was given the 'dorm' room for myself alone, really appreciate that guests were spread out, both for privacy and health reasons i.e. Covid precautions. There's free coffee both mornings and evenings, but you may need to ask staff, and also ask for a cup. Happily I could keep milk in the fridge. All in all a nice hostel within easy walking distance to town and 15 min to the ADO bus terminal

Lighting is rather dim - a reading light in the dorm would be great. It would be nice to have some hand towels or paper towels in the common area/ coffee area, as the glass table tops tend to get smeary.
