The place was simple, kitschy/cute with frog decor, clean, quiet, easy to find and had quick/close access off the main road. We were attending an event, and weren't planning to spend any time other than sleeping at the motel. It was a decent, safe, clean place to land and sleep. Not fancy, but the bed was comfy and it was a King :o).

Powdered creamer. Bring your own creamer if you care about that.

This place was better than I expected in ways. I was looking for something cheaper. I knew it was an older property but it was so comfy by myself, I felt safe. Homey. There were no other amenities that I saw other than my room. That was what I wanted and I was pleasantly surprised.

Counter help was slow to warm up, but came around.

Motel staff friendly,ease of checking in. knowledge of the area. And booked a future stay for the Calaveras County Frog Jump Jubille Weekend. Very Accomodating ..Historical Towns Of Angel's Camp and Murphys very Accessable from this location. It is a small older motel with small clean rooms. Very quiet stay which was a huge plus. An outdoor picnic area with seats benches a table ,bbq pit and a fire pit for those spring,summer nights. Motel is in a quiet area off the Main Highway 49. Within a blocks of shopping areas. Save Mart, Oreillys,CVS,Dollar General,Rite Aid,Burger King ,Taco Bell,,Mike's Pizza

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Very adequate motel though decor is dated.

Smoke detector went off when we were showering. Not a big deal though.

Joyce took care of us from the time that we made the reservations. When we arrived, she gave us great instructions on where to park (when we came back after an event). She let us know that there was a dog owners get together (with dogs) and there may be some noise. It was quiet the whole evening. Joyce made sure the sheets and blankets were extra clean (I am allergic). The hotel is dated and the bathroom is very small, but we really enjoyed staying there - we always stayed in motels when I was a child. The hotel is right off the main road so you could walk to a business. Getting gas was only 4 blocks from motel. If you are hoping for a "pretentious Bed and Bath," this is not the motel for you. But cost effective, clean and centrally located is its credit. Again, Joyce was wonderful at the front desk. I was surprised to see that she also cleans the rooms - can't find employees like that anymore. By the way, it has a great t.v. which other historical hotels do not. Thank You :)

There was no heat in the bathroom, which could be a little colder in winter, but the heater is in the closet and ran very efficiently in the room. Everything else provided; coffee maker, microwave, shampoo etc.

No breakfast...Location is perfect and this Frog place has always been the best spot and is like a home away from home...

could use some better towels and some soft tissues....

We booked a stay for the night of a concert at Ironstone Amphitheater. We were going to arrive late and asked for a lake check in after the concert. There was a little mix up with our reservation, on their end, but was cleared up quickly and we were granted a check-in after the concert. The location is great. The room is small and the bed comfy. It was perfect for what we needed, basically a place to crash after midnight after a concert in Murphy’s. We’d stay again. And the attendant in the office was very polite.

Room was small. A/C took a long time to cool the room. The soda machine wasn’t working.

Hosts were wonderful.

Everything was fine. It's an old motel but everything is clean and works fine.

I never saw breakfast! The location is great. would liked access to bigger freezer for traveling purposes

I didn't like being tight on top of the keepers. I don't know where else that i could if been though

Very comfortable, it was quite, our bed was comfortable, staff always checking on is if needed anything.
