Position is top and the access to the Yansha river area behind is great. And so is the access to metro station, shopping centre and other shopping areas. The food choice at breakfast is absolutely great. We also had dinner once at their main buffet restaurant and it was not second to the high quality of the breakfast. The staff are super nice. The rooms are not brand new but very comfortable (especially the beds) and well clean, with very attentive staff coming to the room more than once a day to check on your necessities. The concierge desk and bell boys are very efficient too. We felt that it was a great place to stay and settle down in Beijing after a long flight and before a long adventure in China. It’s a classic stay with great value for money!

Every aspect is exceptional. No complaints. You won't find any other hotels in Beijing area with the same level of quality. The room has been refurbished so it looks like a brand new hotel interiorly. The cleaning service is offered twice daily. The staff are superbly enthusiastic and always willing to go extra mile to help. On top of everything, the dining buffet experience was a surprise for us with very delicate food and comfy ambience. Kempinski maintains its strong brand in China.

The shower water has inconsistent temperature so you'd have to constantly swerve the shower head and it is easy to overshoot then water becomes too hot or cold. This is the only downside.

The hotel is stunning and the rooms were huge with a large bed. The price was very good value considering how immaculate the hotel was. The breakfast buffet selection was fantastic and was a big highlight. As a tourist I wasn't totally sure where would be a good location to stay. The hotel is about an hour drive from the airport, but is worth it. If you're taking tours to the classic tourist locations (Great Wall, Forbidden City, etc), then its in a good location for tour groups to pick you up from. The area is very nice and situated just by a river - lots of nice restaurants near by and a shopping centre next door was very convenient.

The room was cleaned multiple times per day, which although is very nice - doesn't make much sense. There were a few times I was awoken from a nap because of the maids asking to clean the room again, even though they had only tidied it a few hours ago. Just remember to put the do not disturb sign on if you plan on having a snooze after spending the day out.

Incredibly beautiful property, so clean and every one of the staff made me feel so welcome and safe.

My room did not have any hot water for the shower or bath. I didn’t mention this to the staff though as I was only staying one night and the weather was quite warm anyway that I didn’t mind a luke warm shower. I did think maybe it was just a general occurrence but when I spoke with my husband who also stayed at this hotel before he said he never had a problem with hot water here. So this issue might have just been the particular room I stayed in (911). Other than that, everything was incredible

The hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms are stunning (also the swimming pool has been renovated, looks great). I had an executive room with a kingsize bed and view to the Liangma River - all equipment and amenities in the room very good, including several pillows, shower and a variety of TV channels. The service staff brought regularly fresh water bottles. Very good breakfast. The surrounding area of the hotel is beautiful, especially since the Liangma River has become a Beijing landmark with many restaurants and bars. The hotel's staff was very helpful and proactive. Nice restaurants and entrance lounge.

A self-service coffee machine/pott in the breakfast room would avoid waiting time to get a coffee at the pick hours.

+ The breakfast buffet was great. The hotel offered a wide variety of dishes, including options from both European and Chinese cuisines. + The staff did an outstanding job, and I was very pleased with their service!

- The bathroom facilities are in urgent need of repair. During my 3-night stay, I had to change rooms three times due to leaking issues, one of which I did not notice immediately and resulted in my fall. This was a very unpleasant experience that significantly tarnished my impression of the hotel and caused a change in my original plans.

As usual we chose the Kempinski for our stay in Beijing...since many years. But after the pandemic, the all over experience in Kempinksi is getting worse. Smaller details like dirty dishes in the breakfast room, too many trainees who have no clue what they are doing there, no more German DW channel on TV (only Chinese, French, US and Russian TV) - and that in a former "Germany Island feeling". The attached Paulaner Bräuhaus is getting worse as well...Food was bad, drinks too expensive...the stage for Live music disappeared. Nevertheless, we will come back and give it a try. Many Hotels have to fight with the same problems after Covid...

The hotel room was clean and the level of service from staffs were great.

As with all the hotels I've stayed in Beijing, the aircon does not seem to work. It was unbearably warm in the night as the aircon was essentially blowing warm air. We were offered a change of room but opted for a standing fan instead due to the hassle of shifting in the night. I am not sure why this is a common issue in Beijing as I've stayed a total of 3 international hotel during my recent visit and all had poor airconditioning. The pool on the 18 floor is rather small. Some of the common facilities look old too, hightime for a new facelift especially because this is Kempinski and the expectations are higher !
