WI-FI signal is weak on 2nd and 3rd floors

Breakfast was superb. Variety and freshness. They also opened the terrace as the weather was warm, and the view over the lake and the garden was fantastic. The room and bathroom were bigger than expected, with nice view. No charge for car parking. Restaurants and Cafes very close by car, nice and comfortable. I booked a massage and it was very good, masseur spoke English as well. It was easy and practical, the place is just upstairs 2 floors, and you can wear the robes and slippers provided in the room.

The garden could have some dim/led lights so guests can enjoy a stroll on the garden and lake after dinner. It is so dark that walking alone was a bit scary.

Staff were great. Lovely and helpful. The room was big and had all you would expect for what we paid. The bed was comfy. The restaurant was exceptional ... fantastic food (the duck breast deserves a Michelin star). It was my wife's birthday, and the staff surprised us with a small bday cake. The serving staff went above and beyond. The evening view of the lake was beautiful with dinner. Only slight criticism ... ver limited wine list with poor reds and only 2 did whites (a German Riesling and a NZ sauv blanc). Before booking I had read online about their fantastic in house sommelier. There was no evidence of any sommelier when we had wine. I noticed in the baltics that wines are poor ... how come? Surely tax free choices from regions as far apart as The Balkans & Portugal! Free onsite parking is also a big plus.

breakfast variety was superior, definitely exceeded out expectations. I have never seen such huge variety of food. Booked room was wonderful. SPA booking that we chose for a couple massage was relaxing and we both enjoyed it a lot.

There is only one size for the bath robes they offer, which is a S-L size. Even though the hotel offers spa & massages for men - no man a normal size could fit in any of those robes. When calling reception, answer was - that is our only size. Question is - for such a beautiful hotel that offers these type of commodities... WHY? That is definitely something they should think about as my partner did not feel comfortable..

I was positively impressed with hotel quality. Yes, 4 stars, but not always stars represent the reality. + Clean room, convenient bed. + Positive & respectful employees, :) +++ Special thanks you to Chef & kitchen employees, such reach and interesting breakfast. Usually, I don't eat breakfast, because selection is boring and very typical. In Baltvilla, selection of meals was very interesting and tasty. You can see that chef, really thought about the guests.

We could have stayed longer.

Nice clean room - always a good start! The beds were comfy and we had the option of an additional bed if required. Heating and air conditioner in room which was good as we needed the heating when the weather got cold. There was a TV on the wall with Wi-Fi and some on demand services which I didn’t personally use. There was a desk in the room too which was useful and a kettle, mugs, wine glasses and a mini bar so everything you need. Friendly and helpful staff both at reception and in the restaurant. They helped me book an extra night and spoke perfect English so it was very easy. Nice breakfast provided, mix of hot and cold foods, salads, cereals, pastries and drinks. Choices of food changed a little bit daily so nice to have some variety. Lobby area was clean and nice with nice clean toilets and a small area for children to play. Lovely restaurant with nice food at reasonable prices and some beautiful heaters. Outside area was immaculate with a nice children’s playground and lovely walks. On the shores of a beautiful lake with a small beach - sadly we came when it wasn’t warm enough to swim but I bet it’s fantastic in summer! I shall definitely return on my next trip to Latvia.

The first thing you feel when you come to BaltVilla is the delicious forest air! Inside, the interior is cosy and interesting, decorated with paintings by contemporary(?) artists. The staff is attentive and friendly. Everywhere is clean. There are facilities for children - children's corner, mother-child room, etc. Also, you can go down to the lake to the children's playground. The breakfasts are delicious, with some original dishes - a herring sandwich, for example. Great view from the veranda! The rooms are spacious, cosy and overlook the forest. The noise of the road does not disturb. There's an electric kettle and tea in the room. Comfortable bed and furniture in the rooms and throughout the hotel. The location turned out to be convenient enough for our purpose - to attend a concert in Meza Park. However, only if you have a car.

Noise from the road spoils the experience a bit. The bathroom in the room is poorly ventilated. I would really like to have a fan in the extractor. I also prefer washing with soap rather than shower gel. The layout of the shower cubicle is a bit odd. The sound insulation is not ideal. The room lacks a luggage cupboard and chairs for clothes. Few children's channels on TV. A car is a desirable means of transport.

The restaurant was excellent. The food and service were as fine as any Micheli Bib Gourmand restaurant we have enjoyed. The property accommodated all ages, with spa, sporting activities, and children's playground, all at a pleasantly modest scale that made all feel welcome at this lake resort. I would recommend the Baltvilla for a short overnight stay or for a week's vacation.

The hotel is situated at convenient place close to Riga, particularly when travelling through the country. The highway is close, but its noise does not really bother at night (with closed windows). Parking is free nearby the hotel. The stuff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast choice is good for such hotel. There's a kid's corner at the lobby and a playground nearby. Overall, a good place to stay for a night at a reasonable price.

It was good to stay, close to road, easy to find and very quite. Standart breakfast offer, but totally enough for kids and adults.

TV was not working properly, even using the manual we didnt manage. Most probably had to ask staff for help. Overall the room was more or less clean, only in table drawers were some trash and that was not nice.
