The view was fabulous, the accommodation excellent. The room had a separated "living room" with a TV and fireplace, with a pullout bed in the couch. We didn't use the pull out, but it was a nice option. There was a small "kitchen" area between the bedroom and living room. I'm not sure it had a stove, but definitely a microwave, a coffee maker (which we did use) and a tea kettle (also used). Everything was very clean. The hotel is about a block off the main road into town from the east, which makes it much quieter than most of the hotels in town.

As far as walking goes, the hotel is up the mountain about 2 blocks from most of the restaurants and stores, with quite a steep grade. You'll need to be fairly fit to do much walking, but the view makes it very worth it!

This is an older place, it had charm but needs an update, esp extra lights , I tried to straighten a crooked painting and it fell off , not enough crockery and cutlery for the possible 4 guests in our room, kitchenette but no toaster , just overall a smarten up is needed but we enjoyed our visit despite that, bed very comfortable

The views were amazing. Having private balconies was awesome. This hotel is in a prime location and has so much potential!

I arrived early and was hoping to check in early. There was only one other car in the lot, which I assume belonged to the housekeeping staff. There was no one at the front desk but a number to call. I called and said that I was early and hoping to check in. They requested I come back after 3:30. When i came back, there was new staff in the office and the whole place just seemed unorganized. The staff was very friendly but I was put off initially by not being able to check in early. It is off season and was clearly not busy. I could absolutely understand if it was high season and they just didn't have a clean available room. But...in this case, they were not busy, clearly had available rooms and just weren't willing to accommodate the guest.

Beautiful location definitely, If you book the top floor views are magnificent from there. Fireplace in living area was the best thing in room.

Rooms are pretty empty, lacking in amenities even sound echoes when u speak. Tea coffee machine was not working, no ceilings lights, only one bed side lamp in entire living room. Room was not cleaned up to the mark. Nevertheless, Balcony and Fireplace was the best thing.

We stayed one night at the Chalet. It was absolutely ok. The outside and locations of the Chalet were very nice. We saw mountain goats outside :) The rooms had a rustic charm with a fireplace and small balcony. It was clean. Otherwise it was relatively basic.

We had stains on our towels and when we asked about that at the reception, they said they are running short on towels and cannot replace them. Not acceptable for this price. Furthermore, we had booked two rooms with one being a bit pricier. To be honest, we dont know why the pricier room cost more as the cheaper room had 2 balconies instead of 1 and was more charming (natural light in bedroom etc). So save yourself the money and book the cheaper room.

Beautiful view. Easy to get to. Nice walking/hiking trail right next to the chalet parking. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice room with comfortable beds, small kitchenette, couch and fireplace. We didn't use the TV but it's a nice option. Our room had two balconies which was a nice treat with the extra view. Restaurant next door is an easy way to get a quick delicious meal without having to go to town. Breakfast was free with the room and fairly simple but totally worth it. Loved being able to have our dog with us and we didn't worry about her staying in the room while we visited the hot springs pool.

If I were to be really picky, there was one tree with lower branches over the parking lot could use a trim to keep the branches off the cars.

Very nice "find". Location and ambience. Quiet. Layout of room and view. Clean. Comfortable. Pleasant staff person. Good mattress.

Thermostat did not work; no control over heat. Was very hot and couldn't cool room down. Could not get hot water in kitchen or bathroom sinks without running water for 10 , minutes - this was probably due to it being start of season and water not having run throughout building yet. Pillows not comfortable. Bagged breakfast needs work - better not to offer that; eggs shouldn't be left out of fridge overnight and Kool-aid is an unhealthy and inappropriate breakfast beverage.

Amazing view, quiet and calm, minutes from the Hotsprings, a great mini golf, and a nice morning hot breakfast included. Oh, and the views from every balcony were outstanding! Easy check in and check out. Friendly staff whenever our party needed something.

The couches in the rooms (I booked 4) were clean, but the cushion cracks had the remnants and a hundred snacks between them. And the poor fellow running the breakfast was in need of a helper for sure. He did amazing considering the summer traffic right at opening.

the reception was a bit weird, we had no idea where to eat and were told there was only one option in town but it was like we had asked for something unusual. Maybe just the town vibe was a bit different. note, go early for dinner

View was great. It was quiet and comfortable. Clean room and we enjoyed the sitting room and the balcony.

Breakfast was the same every day, with hard cold porridge and no sugar other than cubes, only one type of jam (grape jelly), no bread at times and then they ran out of muffins. The person running it had no personality at all and couldn’t care less that people were requesting bread, muffins, sugar etc. After two days of that breakfast, we went to a restaurant for our last day.
