There were three things we really liked about this hotel. Number one was the onsite parking. This is a big plus in Europe as most hotels do not have their own parking. We actually got to this hotel much later than we expected and I cannot express enough how great it was to just be able to park and go into the hotel. Number two was the breakfast. Of the three hotels we stayed at, Ibis by far had the most amazing breakfast. It was extensive and tasty, and they had two large espresso machines which meant almost no waiting for coffee. Number three was location. It was very easy to get in and out town and it was close to the Lions Mount Monument, which we came to see. The room was cozy and sparse, but the beds were comfortable, and it was a great value.
The only thing that would make this so much better would be if an extra pillow would be added to each bed. As I said the beds were very comfortable and if there had been to pillows, sleeping would have been perfect but it was not so great with just one.

Staff was very kind and professional. Everything I needed to help with, I was told by the kind receptionists. Room was relatively quiet. We were on the other side of the hotel, so the main street was not heard at all. You can sometimes hear other people in the rooms next to you, but it was not an inconvenience. Everything else was just great. Breakfast very good and tasty.
I was feeling sorry for the receptionists, because they had to do a bartender in the meantime on top of their reception duties. Perhaps more staff for the days when the hotel is crowded with guests would be nice.

We went to visit the Waterloo battlefield site the hotel was perfect for. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. A good breakfast which sets you up for the day and close to super markets for any other supplies.. Nice beer served at the hotel bars mind you I do think you would struggle to get a bad beer in Belgium definitely one of the bonuses of the trip. Rooms clean, beds comfy, air con that works and is quiet and a good shower. Close to the center of town 2 min away and 20 mins walk to the train station. The Belgium train system is excellent too. As a place to stay for us it was perfect.

Great value for money and a comfortable halfway stay to the UK. The room is sufficiently equipped and quiet. Dogs are also welcome, so the perfect place for us.
We needed to get away early at the weekend and breakfast was postponed by 1/2 hour because a whole busload of travellers were let in first (which is sensible) on both stays there and back, so it would have been a long wait, if we had paid for breakfast advance and wanted to eat there.

Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. It was available from 6am over the week end too which is great if you have an early start. The lighting in the room was the best I have had in a hotel for a long while. I could read in bed or work at the little desk without fiddling with the bedside light. The room was big and simply furnished which I find immensely restful. The bar areas was friendly with good outside seating and considering how small it was had a good selection of beers etc
There is no food available in the evenings at present- this does not really matter as Waterloo has a large number of places to eat- so not a dislike- just a comment There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room which I missed.

The room was clean with a massive bed and best shower ever
Breakfast was expensive coffee machine was turned off on the first day due to service engineer checking the electrics!( Should of been done either before or after breakfast) Along with running out of milk, bread and plates on our second day which was very poorly organised for our expectation off quality service we expected for the price of the breakfast facilities

The hotel was very well located and within easy reach of the town centre and railway and bus links.
We had a problem with our hotel room involving a shower drainage issue which caused a flood and a smell. However the staff dealt with the issue straight away by immediatly offering a change of room. This solved the problem to our complete satisfaction.

This property was fine and well placed for travel to the Waterloo Battlefield which we were visiting. It was quieter than expected, had good parking and was close to the centre of town with its many resturants. Breakfast was very good and the staff attentive and helpful. All in all a very good package which meet our needs for this short stay.

The hotel is perfect for an overnight stay on wroute to the UK or vice versa. Our dog is welcome and the rooms are always clean, the beds comfortable and the rooms are quiet.
If you need to get away early, we recommend checking if a tourist bus may be getting breakfast first, which means that breakfast is postponed by 1/2 hour.

The location was good - close to some nice restaurants and boulangerie. Waterloo was perfect to reach the locations we needed. The bed was comfortable and the personnel very nice and helpful.
The room could have been cleaner at check in. Also when using the bathroom sink the water wasn't flowing, though house keeping tried to fix it with some cleaning liquid, it didn't get any much better.
