Fantastic service! The summer weather was perfect for enjoying the rooftop sun deck, the sauna was refreshing and relaxing, and we had rooms with private bathrooms which were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was great, with some local specialities as well as more standard fare — a lot of the food was locally produced. Each room contained a mini-fridge, and the fridge had a small freezer compartment at the top. The hotel was only a couple minutes' walk from the train station and the city center. The price for the rooms was more than fair, and we had a great experience overall! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Noise isolation through the room door was not so great (the walls were fine). It was hard to find a place to properly dry the wet towels because the ventilation in the bathroom wasn't enough, so we hung the towels near the windows.

The staff were all very nice and helpful, and the breakfast had everything you might wish for. There were also lots of nice additional touches: homemade cake for guests in the afternoon, coffee and tea available round the clock, sauna, lovely roof terrace, and games/books to borrow.

The room felt a little hot, so perhaps the ventilation was the only minor downside.

The first thing that I loved is the notification by the manager of the hotel Ms. Sandra, that my room will be upgraded with bathroom and shower even though I paid for shared bathroom and shower. Thank you so so much for that. I really appreciate that. Next, the room was truly amazing, with those reading lights and the massive comfy beds and the whole interior. The room was quite big with amazing window view. And, the breakfast, was D E L I C I O U S. You have pretty much everything to choose from - from scrambled eggs and bacon to various kinds of jams and Nutella. The coffee was the most delicious I have ever tried, even though I'm not a big fan of it - I loved it. Thank you Ms. Sandra and thank you Strand Hotel for this wonderful experience!!!

There isn't such thing

Nice, cosy place, spacious room. Very good breakfast, possible to grab coffee and tea during the day. Easy chec-in and check-out, even outside of reception working hours.

Only one shower available and one wc per floor.

^Big room with comfortable bed ^Our dog got bowls for water and food and all the armchairs were covered so he could sit like at home - it is sweet when hotels are so pet friendly, love it ! ^delicious breakfast

Very helpful people. I booked on the same day I checked in and it was no problem to check in immediately. Also I am traveling by bike and I could take my bicycle in my room! Thanks :)

Very quiet, very clean, you have a market, restaurant, bar nearby, everything was perfect.

A few more channels on the tv would have been desirable, but was ok

SUPERB BREAKFAST: The breakfast highly exceeded our expectations. AMENITIES: Many basic amenities were available to us in the room e.g. well-lit, spacious bathroom with lots of places to put toileteries on, big room, big screen TV. Good beds with side tables, very good lobby area, with access to tea, coffee services, kitchen 24 hours.

We had requested for free parking but by the time we got there all hotel parking places were taken and the hotel had not reserved a parking spot for us. The receptionist asked us to park on a neighboring restaurant guest place instead which we did but in the morning we found very angry note on our car from the restaurant management.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was quiet, breakfast had every thing from different kinds of juices and cheeses, breads and müslis, up to meat balls, fried bacon and scrambled eggs. When arriving I was even asked to take coffee and/or chocolate cake if I like.

One evening I did not think of asking for the door code at the entrance. A reminder like "you know the door code in case you come back late? “ would have been helpful. Otherwise all was good!

Breakfast was fantastic with huge range. Lovely atmosphere. Room was great, spacious with all facilities.

Difficult to get TV to work.
