The barman was very unpleasant - every time we ordered a drink it was a very big effort for him - he was rude and very unprofessional

STUNNING PROPERTY WITH WARM AND AMAZING STAFF. A WONDERFUL STAY IN A MASSERIA WHICH IN ITSELF WAS A LOVELY EXPERIENCE. EVERY DETAIL OF THIS PROPERTY WAS BEAUTIFUL .

THERE SHOULD BE SECUITY/STAFF AT THE GATE TO LET GUESTS IN AFTER 10 PM. THEY GIVE YOU A KEY BUT YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF YOUR CAR IN THE DARKNESS AND OPEN UP THE MAIN GATE THEN LOCK IT BACK AND THEN ALSO OPEN UP THE MAIN DOOR AND LOCK IT BACK...FELT A LLITTLE INTIMIDATED BY THIS AS 3 WOMEN IN AN UNFAMILIAR AREA /COUNTRY. THE PROPERTY AND AROUND THE PROPERTY ALSO VERY DARK AT NIGHT- NO STREET LIGHST OR PROPER LIGHTING. BECAUSE OF THIS REASON WE RUSHED BACK FROM DINNER AT A STUNNING BEACH CLUB SO AS TO ARRIVE BEFORE 10 PM.

We found the hotel was located in an excellent situation for visiting nearby historical towns and the coast line. The breakfast was a simple yet very tasty way to start the day. Although the weather did not allow us to use the pool, it looked fantastic and a peaceful haven.

It was early in the season so I do not wish to make too many comments, but the bar could stay open a little later and kitchen options could be a little more varied for the evening meals.

Beautiful property and staff!

There is a dog pound near the resort which didn't help with sleep as they kept barking late into the night. Food can be improved...would have loved egg options (scrambled/sunny side up etc.) for breakfast, and some pasta options/side sauces to complement the dishes...taste was bland for our taste buds. However the whole wheat croissants were devine!

Beautiful castle-vibe and amazing surroundings full of olive trees! Very nice pool area and italian breakfast. Lots of sitting areas and places to relax. Comfortable bed.

Lack of gluten free bread for breakfast, the staff was hard to catch (for check out and bar service). They have a nice online option to order food and drinks to your table all over the property. Unfortunately it didn’t work.

The room was very spacious and comfortable with beautiful views. The staff were all very nice and helpful with organizing and booking outside activities.

The hotel closed down at 10 pm. We would have liked to have something open after we arrived late from some activities off site to have a drink or something to eat. And the dinner menu options were very limited and didn’t change during our stay.

I've never experienced anything like the Exquisite Borgo San Marco (and I've travelled all over the world)... the location, ambience, superior styling, attention to detail, superb presentation... but most of all the wonderful, kind staff and delicious fresh food.

Everything! This was like a home away from home. Quiet, intimate and relaxing. Not mention romantic yet child friendly. We felt so grateful being able to stay in a 18th century old masseria. Just exquisite. There was nothing too much for the staff to accommodate any request. All I could think about was extending. We loved being close by so many places and just loved being surrounded by hundreds of olive trees. We cannot wait to visit again!!! Thank you Borgo San Marco

Can't say there was anything for us! However, for those that want to get lost and not to be seen. This is an intimate experience. Guests chat at breakfast and get together at dinner time. Wonderful for some perhaps not for others. This was our experience when we were there and we loved it. We were all exchanging our experiences and getting advise from each other!

Our stay at Borgo San Marco was perfect, the staff had contacted us a few hours before arrival to check if we need help finding our way, and just in case, sent us a directions. When we arrived, staff was at the parking lot to help us carry our bags. The rooms were very cozy and roomy, and the beds comfortable. The olive oil and bread as a welcome snack in the room was a very nice touch. We also had tasting menu for dinner on the first night, everything was delicious, and our server, Vito explained to us the dishes as he served them. Buffet breakfast was fantastic! Still cant have enough of the pastichiottos. The front desk also gave us tips on restaurants we could try in the area, and helped us book our tables.

Nothing, we loved our stay.

The room was fantastic, so spacious and well decorated, so comfortable. The grounds were big and you’re free to just wonder, which was so nice. Also able to order drinks by the pool via your phone, which was also a nice feature. We ate there on our last night and the food was delicious, all homemade. During breakfast we weren’t sure if the outside restaurant area would create a good atmosphere for an evening meal as it was very laid back and more just like relaxed outside tables which worked well for breakfast but it transformed in the evening and was beautifully lit and made for a great evening, so would definitely recommend eating there. We didn’t get to use the spa but a friendly member of staff showed us around the spa area and it was really nice and tranquil.

Breakfast was a little limited but it wasn’t too much of a problem.
