Best resort experience we’ve ever had (and we’re decently well travelled). Staff were exceptional. Seamless service from pick up at international ferry terminal through to final departure. The entire resort operates as a finely integrated team. We were never left wanting, a true luxury experience. Food options were fantastic, we stayed 5 nights and had plenty of options. Despite thoughts to explore Batam, we didn’t leave the resort (we didn’t want to miss a minute of being there!). Breakfast buffet was superb. Hinotori restaurant was the gem in the crown. Amazing modern Japanese fusion menu that rivals any Michelin meal. Special call outs to Andry and Jia at Reception, Ryan on buggy service, Hari, Wellson & Hendri at Hinotori and Bunga at Pantai Restaurant, to name just a few of the lovely people who looked after us. Panca, Akbar & Ariq also hosted a very special Private Sunset BBQ in our villa, something we’ll never forget. And the live music was fabulous! The Wellness Spa was spectacular! And we were fortunate enough to interact with snakes and iguanas on our final day. We were fortunate to experience both the 2 Bedroom and 3 Bedroom Premier Villas. Both were breathtaking! The private pools were the centrepiece of our stay. Just magical!

Renovation of Tiigo Beach Club was running late (when we booked, it was expected that renovations would have been completed by our time of arrival) so, sadly, we missed seeing the new facilities, but this didn’t really impact our stay at all (so much else to do!). Some people have commented on maintenance. Admittedly, it’s not the newest resort but you can clearly see efforts are being made to improve the property. I’d much rather benefit from the amazing service than worry about a few loose tiles or a wall that could benefit from a lick of paint. People are the heart and soul of the place.

Superb service from all of the staff at Montigo. Our personal butler, Sahrul was the most wonderful and helpful during our stay. Kiki and Edwin from the housekeeping team were also attentive and diligent. Special shoutout to Yuyun from Pantai restaurant who took extra care of us when we had our meals there. Thank you!

The furnishing in the room could have been better. It would be nice to have lounge chairs by the pool and a table. Room was huge but lacks furnishing.

Everything was superb. Extra points for the staffs. Every request was attended to promptly and with a smile. Nice deco for anniversary. We got an upgrade which was a really nice surprise.

Room for improvements. 1. Villa maintenance (leaks, sewer smells) - Was addressed to the staff and attended to promptly. 2. Only 6 buggies available for the whole resort. The rest was under maintenance. - But the waiting time was very short. 3. Breakfast option was ok. Taste wise could be better. 4. We arrive in the evening around 8ish and there was not one at the car lobby to greet us. Would be nice to have someone there to show us to the main lobby and help with the bags. But overall, hats off to the staffs.

All their staff (check-in and check-out, buggy drivers, dining staff, activities staff, villa maintenance staff, etc.) are very attentive. The villa was comfortable and clean. It was a birthday weekend for my daughter and they decorated the bed and gave a cake. We appreciate the gesture very much. The breakfast spread was good and choices plenty. Dining staff served every guest with a smile throughout breakfast service. We took part in the activities - tiedye. Staff were very patient with all of us and were very clear and conscise in their explanation of the steps. (But after rinsing out, the t-shirt swirly pattern were not seen. 😆) The staff in the Kids Club were very accomodating too. They explained and guided the children well while they played the VR games. Would definitely considering coming back again and try the dining options there for lunch and/or dinner.

There were some hiccups with the WhatsApp system. We texted all available numbers for the buggy. We did get responses and the buggy came shortly after. The toilet has a sewage smell. Other than that, everything was good!

Wow! This resort was incredible with stunning views of the Singapore skyline from our villa room & private infinity pool! Breath taking views!! The staff were absolutely fantastic in ensuring our stay was comfortable. We had Andry assist us throughout our stay & he was so wonderful- excellent hospitality & customer service -he truly made our trip - thank you so so so much Andry!! Staff throughout the resort were so friendly & welcoming. The restaurants, cafes & bars had delicious food, cold refreshing drinks, aircon / fans & stunning views. The breakfast had a huge variety of options. Highly highly recommend!! Wish we could have stayed longer!

The master bedroom and the pool are really nice. The buggy rides were efficient enough. The staff were attentive and friendly. Most of them speak good English.

The rest of the bedrooms are just average. If not for the size of the property that can house 3 families, I wouldn’t pay for that 3 bedrooms unit. It’s much cheaper to get 3 hotel rooms and it can be near town.

A SUPERB experience with Montigo @ Batam! Great experiences and memories formed there, and will definitely be back there for vacation. Very friendly staff (especially Lestari & Welly). We were all greeted professionally, and with their constant smiles and positive attitude and approach, we felt very welcomed and it feels really nice :) During the stay, with buggy services, it’s very convenient. And not to mention, the interior of the 3 Bedroom Villa that we booked, ITS IMPRESSIVE! We have nice staff for house keeping (Erwin & Team - Antoni, Albar, Dindro & Agung) Went to their KTV lounge too, served great food (packaged with pizzas & finger food), fun events like air gun shooting, etc. Overall, very nice people. Spacious and close to nature. Buggy is on time and the all the staff are friendly and always with a smile. Tigo Beach club is relaxing and suitable for families. Buffet spread was the best, it definitely improved from what we had during our last stay in 2022.

Our villa water supply did not work well, pulsating water pressure. It goes off for a few seconds and go back on full blast..a bit frustrating when you are showering/shampooing, especially when you are using the toilet facilities. They do not provide smart tv, which what we had the last round, but the local channels are alot! Pillows were a bit too soft for comfort.

Lovely place with excellent staff who are always ready to help and assist you with a smile at anytime. The service at the restaurants ,be it TADD's, PENTAI or WARUNG and the spa were great. Our special thanks to Mr.Han who arranged all the activities for us and helped our son when he got hurt. Mr,Yoga,who accompanied and helped us with the bicycle ride and Mr.Pandi who took good care of our son till we were back from the bicycle tour.

The bicycles were in a poor state and broke down and had to be repaired while on the tour.Also very less choice of bicycles for kids.

Staff and food at Montigo were exceptional. Staff were all very courteous and responsive to our requests. I thought the concierge provided by WhatsApp was a great idea; there was no need to wait for someone to receive the call and yet the resort was able to promptly respond to our WhatsApp requests round the clock. In addition, the breakfasts provided at Tadd's were of a wide variety and very sumptuous - a daily highlight that our family looks forward to.

The villa has a lot of floor space so it is understandable that some parts were left a little dusty. There was also a small leak from the ceiling at the master bedroom on the upper floor due to rain (which was easily solved by leaving a floor mat underneath), so it would be good if the resort could routinely maintain the property.
