Great view from our lakeside cottage. Clean, spacious and with full kitchen equipment. We were upgraded at no cost because the room was unoccupied and because the owner made a billing mistake (later corrected). Everything was in good repair. There were thoughtful touches such as comfortable chairs on the porch, the room was warmed when we checked in and we were allowed a very early check in to drop off our luggage.

The contactless reservation and payment process was very unpleasant. If you trust the owner, then it would be easy, but initially everything is over the internet and there is no guarantee that you are not dealing with a scam artist. Billing.com charged my card for the stay, but then I received an email saying that I needed to give my credit card information and that I would be charged another amount upon check in. It was very unclear what I would be ultimately charged and it felt like a scam. After much discussion on the phone, I agreed to give my information and it turned out fine, but why not just take credit card information at the time of check in and explain that a security deposit will be temporarily authorized?

It is quite, and the scenery is beautiful and peaceful. We enjoy the outdoors time there. Room is spacious and very clean. It is easy doing BBQ outdoors. We enjoy it a lot. A very relaxing vacation.

There are a few minor problems. There is no shade for chairs outside of our room. Also, the propane tank is not covered in front of room 24. It looks ugly when we open windows or door. Room rate is also a bit pricey too.

Property was clean, cottages were quaint and comfortable! Nice views of the water, pleasant sitting areas. There is a clean pool and deck with chaise lounges too!

The biggest bummer of staying at Clearlake Cottages & Marina is that the cyanobacteria algae is prevalent in the lake water in that area, so it isn't a great idea to jump in the water nearby, which was disappointing for us! It's totally out of the property's control, but something we realized as we got to the lake. We still were able to rent jet skis and enjoyed our time on the water, but we didn't swim in the lake.

Bob effectively manages the establishment and ensured a high level of comfort during my visit. His exceptional customer service surpassed all expectations.

The presence of gnats around the lake resort becomes particularly pronounced in the spring and summer months, posing a considerable inconvenience that necessitates the constant closure of doors and windows.

The Innkeeper upgraded my cottage so I was right on the lake. It was beautiful there and also quiet. It had all of the amenities for a comfortable stay. Once I got there I didn’t want to leave. I will definitely go back first chance I get! Also the pool was very refreshing and large pool towels were supplied.

The property is right on the lake and the cottages are very cute and well maintained. The room was super clean and their were instructions for everything.

it’s being run like and Airbnb. Contactless check in, instructions regarding the room, etc. I didn’t like having to remove my trash from the room or all the thousands of mayflies around that required me to rush in and out of the room. it’s unfortunate that the lake also wasn’t usable due to bacteria.

Fall was a great time to go- few other people around. wonderful bird watching on the lake. bonus encounter with cute river otter family. we brought our own food so fridge and microwave were great. good shower. really appreciated that we could bring our pooch. Very easy working with owner on reservation and no contact checkin worked great.

The room was quite spacious and it was very clean. The pool had easy access and it was clean and refreshing.

My card was charged $100 deposit, which I expected, but I was also charged a $39 fee that I don't understand. I will call management and ask why as soon as they are available. My pillows were flat.

I was born in clearlake moved in early 80s I still go back usually yearly and have never stayed here will from now on every other place we've stayed in is horrible we loved your cottages. Very clean very nice

I would suggest King beds since the rooms are so big. Beds are a tad hard

Nice area next to lake. Quiet. Owner had great suggestion for a sight-seeing stop along the way.

The hoops to jump through. Would’ve preferred to answer all questions during initial payment instead of doing it after the fact (ie how many people, pets, boats, kids, sign policy and call with credit card again).
