Staff was great- always asking how you were and what they could do for you- service was excellent. The breakfast was great- wonderful breads and cheeses and fruits and juices and eggs and coffee and Nutella and .................... We also had dinner in their restaurant with live music every evening- had the fish and couscous and chicken tanginess and vegetables. The dessert tiramisu and custard were wonderful. We loved the special tea that the staff made for us when we arrived. The rooms were very clean and the staff organized our room beautifully! They made their guests feel special! The views from the top lounge are incredible and the spa is super!

Liked everything!

On arrival, we were treated to tea for two in the restaurant. The rooms were ready soon after. Lovely, clean rooms in a traditional Riad setting. My wife was most impressed with the bathroom. The location is perfect in Little Socco in the Kasbah of the old medina. Right in the centre of everything. Staff at this hotel are very professional, kind, polite and helpful. At night you can hear the live musician playing traditional music in the restaurant from the comfort of your room. Very atmospheric and pleasant. Breakfast is a buffet and taken in the restaurant. It is of excellent quality. It rained heavily on our second day but staff were on hand to lend us a hairdryer and we dried out on the sofas next to the restaurant. Very kind to lend us this.

The property was very clean, the decor was welcoming and traditional. The entire staff was outstanding and made our stay memorable. We want to do a shout out to: Soukaina, she made sure all our needs were taken care of through out our stay. Soukaina is efficient, knowledgeable and warm, her beautiful smile made us feel at home. She arranged our tours with “Magid” tour guide extraordinaire! Who can be describe as a combination of Google (so very knowledgeable about the history, geography, and general information of the area) and a cup of tea (warm and friendly).

The room was a bit too crowded…3 chairs, a desk and a coffee table. We did not have water one evening.

A Hidden Gem of Authentic Moroccan Hospitality! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful riad, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a serene oasis filled with the charm and warmth of traditional Moroccan culture. The riad's architecture is stunning, with intricate tile work, vibrant colors, and traditional Moroccan craftsmanship that exudes authenticity. The central restaurant, with its tranquil fountain and lush greenery, provided the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Each morning, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the rooftop terrace, where I could take in breathtaking views of the city Tanger. The fresh orange juice, homemade pastries, fresh mint tea, arabica espresso's, and variety of other Moroccan delicacies were a delightful way to start the day. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated with traditional Moroccan furnishings. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the ornate lamps to the handwoven rugs. The comfortable beds and luxurious linens made for a restful night's sleep, and the air was filled with the subtle scent of rosewater. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. They provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and restaurants and even organized a private tour of the medina and other places for me. Their genuine hospitality and kindness made me feel like a cherished guest and a part of the family . Overall, this riad is a perfect blend of authenticity, comfort, and hospitality. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the true essence of Morocco in the city of Tangier I can't wait to return! Pro tip: For all the public parkings nearby in Tangier Tip the car parking staff beforehand for an extra eye on your car. Be generous with the local people and this city will treat you well.

That I had to continue and leave this riad behind .

Nice riad pretending to be among the elite ones. In some ways it succeeds, in some others it doesn't, it probably depends on how much you pay for your stay. The staff is overall very nice and the buffet breakfast is great. The terrace is superb, enjoying the welcome tea there was an amazing experience

Our room had only one small window which faced the inner of the riad, which we didn't open much. Staff could be more on top of things. For example, upon our arrival they said they would bring our luggage to our room, we took the welcome tea and waited 30 mins. In the end we went downstairs and took our luggage ourselves.

The staff is very welcoming and kind. The place is super beautiful inside. Breakfast is good. It's a comfy stay. It's only four minutes walking from the street the car can take you. It would be lovely if the Riad provided someone to pick you up at the Medina entrance, but it's not a problem since it was easy to find (note: a guy tried to take us to a different direction when we arrived, but we managed to deny his "help" and find it ourselves pretty easily).

Our shower leaked water towards the bathroom floor, making it all wet during our stay. We only had one night so we didn't waste time complaining - if we did, maybe they would have fixed it.

The detail in all aspects of the hotel were amazing. Intricate carvings, statues, carpets, light fixtures etc. The attention to detail is really something to behold. We especially enjoyed drinking our Moroccan mint tea on the roof top patio overlooking the straight of Gibraltar. Breakfasts were delicious and a real treat to sample a massive variety of of traditional baked goods with spiced coffee while watching the Petite Soco come alive from above.

Occasionally we would get a sewer smell in our room at certain parts of the day. Understandably as this is a very old property and drainage and ventilation may not be perfect.

The big highlight of this property is the staff Super kind, helpful and respectful with very special shout out to Sukaina who went above and beyond in her kindness. Also Abid and Mghith who made our stay remarkable. Location is perfect. Good food. Super clean Easy access to all attractions Highly recommended to anyone who likes traditional properties. Thanks palais zahia for a memorable stay. Thanks Sukaina, Abid and Mghith for being super hosts.

The only thing I would comment on is the noise coming from outside as it is in the heart of old city..The hotel could work on isolation system.

Beautiful place in the medina, easy to find, close to the port. Staff were friendly, spoke every language, was informative, enthusiastic, and provided exceptional service. Our room was a double with aircon and ensuite. It was quiet, clean, and very comfy. The food was lovely and the breakfast that was included, was very good. The decor was traditional and courful and just famous. The top terrace had views of the medina, kasbah, and port, plus the bay of Tangier. Would I stay here again? ABSOLUTELY. Would I recommend this hotel and restaurant? ABSOLUTELY. We loved it, felt safe and incredibly welcome.

The staff were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Nice breakfast with good service. Beautifully decorated riad, and the room itself was nice as well. Located inside the medina, and the hotel has a driver, so guests can be picked up for tours or brought to airport/train station right from the front of the hotel. Otherwise there is no car traffic. AC in the room, and an elevator. We had a very pleasant stay!

Our shower leaked water onto the bathroom floor. We had to ask for hand towels on the first day. The refrigerator did not get very cold. It was a bit noisy until after 11pm, but by 1130pm or so, it was very quiet for sleeping.
