The room, the bed was so comfortable, it was really luxury 5 stars The staff was outstanding , Giovanni at the reception was so helpful, kind, and really knew how to treat the guests and make them feel special The pool was really nice and the views were spectacular At the pool bar we had a fun time with the bartender and the fireplace lit every night made the ambience magical The food also was really good and the fresh pineapple juice was really really good .

When we booked half board we were expecting a dinner buffet, but unfortunately was low season so we were offered a la carte instead Even though the food was good the dessert selection in the menu unfortunately was a bit scarse

The location is simply amazing, it's my second time there after fifteen years and the place has been(at least partially) revamped. The staff cleans continuously, the atmosphere is magical. You're locked in after your safari but luckily, the restaurant is excellent and honestly priced compared to what one could charge a captive clientele. We ate two nights there for 70 to a 100 € for a family of 5. The pool is very nice, of a good size for a morning swim or for the kids to play in when back from the park visit.

I understand the need for lighting up the place but it makes it impossible to see anything but the largest stars. Another point of that sometimes the requests don't seem to be well tanked to the kitchen. We ordered two hamburgers, on well done and the other rare, and we got two that were really cooked all the way in. Finally, the rooms could do with a touch up, particularly in the bathrooms where the corners show some peeling paint, other signs of humidity, or simply shower heads that have seen better days.

We stayed in this lodge for one night. The staff of the hotel were friendly and helpful. The place was quiet and peaceful because it is within the Akagera National Park. We had a superb dinner and breakfast in the restaurant.

The complication at the Park Management. Why should I pay expensive fees to enter the lodge, which was about 150 meters away, if I am not going to tour the Park? Not only that but also fees to allow the car and the driver to drop us at the hotel. This, in my opinion, is ridiculous and should be reviewed.

Everything here was perfect, the rooms had all facilities you can ask for, clean confortable and very quiet. It is located inside the Akagera park, so searching for wildlife is just perfect as long as you are inside the park. Breakfast and dinner had a great option and the staff was wonderful throughout. There is a pool overlooking the lake and the border with Tanzania and at night the set fire to sit around and enjoy a drink in a campsite looking area. I will be back here, this is what you need after a full day of exploring the park to relax and recharge . Loved it.

Everything was great.

This hotel is a very smart western-style hotel located right within akagera national park. The location could not be better. It is the obvious place for visitors to stay whilst visiting the park, but despite having a monopoly on the location, the quality does not suffer. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, if somewhat characterless, like a European chain hotel. There is good aircon, tv, and an excellent bathroom. There is a large pool and, due to its elevated position, some amazing views over the park. You can enjoy drinks at the poolside bar, and there is even a well equipped gym.

The meals (breakfast and evening) are buffet meals served in a large room, so feels a bit like school dinner, but there is a good selection, especially the deserts. The fact that you can just turn up and help yourself immediately is actually quite welcome after a long day in the park, rather than having to go through the whole palaver of ordering and waiting.

Lovely balcony room with pool view and the national park in the background. Room was comfortable and well up to the standard of any other world class international hotel. The staff were attentive and helpful but compared to the incredible warmth we had experienced elsewhere perhaps felt a little less welcoming . Location is perfect just a short drive to park reception and ready for you to start safari immediately. Dinner buffet was varied and good quality, we also took a packed lunch which was fairly average (12,000 RWF). Did not try breakfast but it looked large and varied as we walked past it.

The pool is large but is unheated so be prepared for a refreshing dip! For us the hotel didn't have much character, it is very much just a comfortable and functional place to stay. Consider some of the tented lodge accommodation if you want a proper safari experience.

Perfect place to have a rest after long drive in the park. The view is amazing! The rooms were clean. Wi-Fi worked good enough. We also enjoyed a pool outside. Probably, there is a need to pay attention to the water-filter, as it was not crystal clean and we observed small debris in water. Breakfast was wonderful. In general we liked the hotel.

The price is quite high and there is a need to indicate the exact amount of extra fees you have to pay upon arrival!

We genuinely loved every moment of our stay here. I cannot express how much the staff made our stay. They were the most attentive / courteous and caring people we have ever met. We loved speaking to them every day, they are a credit to Akagera Game Lodge and really deserve so much recognition. A special thank you to everyone that was working during our stay, we really wish we got everyone's names as everyone deserves a mention. Gastone in particular was incredible. We were taken care of better than we have been before and we have travelled a lot! The lodge is the most amazing experience, the food is delicious, The scenery and nature that surrounds you is honestly out of this world. We loved every morning waking up here, looking out our balcony to breath taking views, enjoying delicious breakfast's, heading off on our game drive, coming back to enjoy drinks by the pool, enjoying a delicious dinner and finishing our nights by the firepit with a lovely cosy blanket. We are already planning our next visit.

We loved absolutely everything.

The lodge has a beautiful location. The staff are great, especially reception staff. I appreciated all the support Fabiola gave during the booking process and the time she took to answer my questions. The pool is amazing. The rooms are very comfortable.

I would have preferred a non-buffet dining option as well. I found that the invoices at the end of the stay were not very clearly presented - items were not clear (what was a child meal, what was the bar order, etc). Maybe you could improve on how billing is presented? The exchange rate used was also very expensive - we had received the quotation in dollars through booking.com but our invoice was in RWF at a bad rate so our credit card shows a higher dollar amount than the quotation.

The location inside the park offers magnificent views of the lake, many birds to see, a pool with camp fire and more. Food was plentiful and good.

Check-out hours should be changed to allow comfortable departure after a morning game drive. We were told to pack up and clear the room at 6 , before setting off for one. The staff were assertive and not very friendly, considering the considerable expense of both accommodation and permits for one day.
