The hotel is fine. We stayed here for 2 days at the start of our trip ans one day at the end. We were given a cabin both times. The second cabin was a bit less upgraded than the first. Even though we were early arriving, the second time, we were given our room not long after. The bar and beer on tap are nice. Food was OK. A taxi to and from town was easy and inexpensive. It is not far, just a bit too far to walk. The showers were good both times, and the cabin area was reasonably quiet. There is a shopping centre a short walk from the hotel. Parking is easy, if you have a car.

Everything was fine. The staff are very friendly and helpful though maybe slightly over attentive, which I suspect is hotel policy.

We enjoyed a lot the 2 nights stay at the hotel. The staff is very nice and helpful, even managed to check us in very early. The airport shuttle was nice and fast. We were lucky to see a traditional show at the restaurant Saturday evening. Food is very good and service is excellent. In the morning of our arrival the travel agent at the hotel arranged for us activities for that day and the next one. All in all it all went well and we were happy we were hosted at the lodge. We highly recommend this place.

The only thing I would advice is taking a written price offer/ invoice for the activities when doing the scheduling with the travel agent (actually this is applicable everywhere), so it is easy to pay at the reception if you leave very early or on Sunday. We didn't do that and it took the agent an extra trip very late outside work hours to manage the payment. Mosquitos nets are available but you must request it from the reception. It would be useful to have it permanently installed at least at one window.

The facilities were quite basic but perfectly clean and comfortable as we were just looking for somewhere to sleep for the night having just come out of the Delta and not flying back to Gabs until the next day. It was very helpful to have a free shuttle to and from the airport. We enjoyed the buffet dinner in the courtyard - good food and atmosphere with live music.

Not the lodge's fault but the water had not yet arrived so instead of the expected waterfront property, the surrounding area was a bit barren.

This lodge is in a lovely setting and has friendly and helpful staff. The 'boma' restaurant serves excellent food and is clearly popular in the evenings with residents and non-residents alike. Rooms are comfortable but not luxurious. Very conveniently situated.

Rooms are a little 'tired' but comfortable and adequate. Fixtures and fittings are a bit dated. It didn't have the 'luxurious' feel I anticipated, but I enjoyed my stay and I would return.

The Breakfast as well the dinner at the BOMA restaurant was very good . We were tired souls having driven a long distance on off roads from The Third Bridge Camp . We were 3 couples and booked at the riverside chalets , the reception was very kind to give us adjoining chalets and also parking with our chalets . The breakfast spread was large and sumptuous , i especially liked the cleanliness as well as the spread . The dinner menu at the Boma was amazing and we had been given a nice table outdoors with some music . Definitely recommend this as the place to stay in Maun , since its close to supermarkets and gas stations and ready to stock up on supplies for your camping trips .

Better illumination in the chalets

Illumination in the chalets could be a little brighter

Very well run hotel with friendly and efficient staff. Good restaurant but I thought the breakfast a bit overpriced. It is 225 per person so good for big eaters. The room was old but comfortable. Free transfer from the airport was good. We used Maun as a base for the Okavango Delta. Bad choice as it is too far. We had a good tour but it is 3.5 hours just to the park entrance mostly over dirt roads. So if you want to see the Delta you have to camp or stay in one of the expensive lodges. Otherwise just stay in Chobe where everything is much more accessible

A very solid choice for spending a night (or a few) in Maun. Large, comfy bed, quiet room, good wifi. All the amenities you could need can be found on the hotel premises. We enjoyed the dinner at the restaurant, nice atmosphere and serving some tasty traditional dishes (though service was VERY slow).

I was looking forward to taking a long bath after several nights of camping but when I filled it the water was a murky gray which made me quite doubt the cleanliness of it. The hotel could have done a better job at informing us about the breakfast situation (they did not mention when we arrived that the buffet was not included in the room cost, and that there was an option for an a la carte breakfast instead, so the communication could be smoother there).

Friendly staff, beautiful dinner location, great buffet breakfast. Would happily stay here again. It's a good idea to have some US$ on hand so that you can tip the staff if you'd like to.

We booked a free standing cabin as they had single beds, but if we stayed again we'd book the hotel rooms instead. The cabins are great if you have a car, as they are motel style and you can park out the front. The hotel rooms are better quality and more upmarket.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the accommodation very nice. The food was also very good but a little bit pricey. Although there is WiFi, it was intermittent in the rooms; it would have been helpful if the staff advised guests that the WiFi works better in the reception area.

The staff in the restaurant were a little bit TOO helpful to the point of being a bit irritating. But then on our last night they didn't tell us there was a problem in the kitchen. It would have been much better if we had been advised; then we could have made a decision about cancelling the order.
