It is a beautiful and well maintained historic building, located in the heart of Popayan, close to restaurants, shops, churches, and museums. The rooms are properly decorated, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast is good.

There was a celebration just in front of our room. It was not possible to sleep due to the noise and heavy sound vibrations. It is advisable to avoid rooms close to the restaurant area. Staff did not recognize that we pay for breakfast and were unpolite when we asked for coffee.

The rooms are themed in keeping with the property with authentic touches. The room had a big patio and nice view onto the terrace. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but seems standard in most SA hotels We had lunch in the restaurant and breakfast both were very good. The restaurants cafes surrounding are a bit average. The old town is not that interesting or attractive in comparison to others we have visited but if you stopping here Hotel Dann is a good option. Great secure parking at the back

The patios were joined to neighbouring rooms with a low wall. Not very private and easy to access other rooms. The grounds and central courtyard could be improved with plants to add much more appeal to the property. The pool was milky and nit useable. My partner did enjoy the sauna.

This is an impressive-looking hotel which was a former 16th century monastery. I booked a standard twin room with 2 double beds and we ended up staying in the presidential suite! The room was big with a big window door to a huge shared balcony. The bathroom had a bath tub and all the necessary amenities. The hotel is on two floors and there is no lift (it was an old monastery and they did not have lifts in those days). However the staff were quick to carry our luggage up the stairs to our room. There is an on site restaurant in the inner court yard where we had cocktails and a light meal. The food was delicious and presented in a way befitting a five star hotel. There were fairy lights strung up and soft classical music playing, creating a very nice atmosphere. This hotel is good value for money and by far the best-looking in Popayan.

The room was quite dark. There are old-fashioned lamps that do not provide enough light. The breakfast was tasty, but a rather small variety for a five star hotel.

Breakfast was very good. We liked the great location in the historic building (ancient monastery) and in the midst of the old town of Popayán, where you can visit all touristic places by foot.

There is no car parking facility at the hotel front. The reception did not help us organising a private driver for a sight seeing tour, instead they gave us a leaflet of a travel agency.

There was an eruption of a nearby volcano, warnings for the whole city regarding the ashes and going outside only wearing a mask and long sleeves. Nobody in the hotel warned me.

The hotel is perfectly located in the center and within walking distance to the main plaza, museums, gorgeous churches and delightful restaurants. The hotel's monastery history with its unparallel architecture inside and outside are outstanding. The food was delicious. The staff was outstanding and attentive. I will definitely plan to visit again and stay at Hotel Dann Monasterio ;)

Dinner was pretty average and very slow service Not the Hotels fault but it was distressing to see a distraught Mother outside the Gates who child had just disappeared.

The best location in Popayan. The hotel has a uniqe and incredible athmosphere. We loved it. The staff atvthe reception was very helpful and nice!

The staff of the restaurant was really slowly. We couldn't drink anything 2 times: 1st we had to cancel our order because we didn't get it after 30 minutes, 2nd we couldn't order after 20 minutes.

Centrally located hotel in an enormous & stylish (former) monastery. It is very nice to walk in the long hallways. Rooms are basic but comfortable and offer a great price/quality ratio. If visiting Popayan, this is the place to stay

An honest surprise. Building and surroundings are impressive, the service was top notch, and the staff was very helpful. This is a quiet oasis in a beautiful city, located within walking distance of the main attractions. Highly recommended.
