The room was spacious and clean with amazing views over the lake as we did pay a bit extra for the lake views. The location was fantastic with a great choice of restaurants and bars.

The hotel restaurant does not open on a Monday and typically we were staying Monday, slightly disappointed that we could not eat there as the menu looked great and the views from the restaurant are amazing. We paid for room and breakfast but the breakfast was not included (free) to an extent, let me explain, there are certain items on the menu that are free I.E "basic items such as pastries" all the good items such as "bagel with cream cheese and salmon or meats etc" where not free, so it's not really breakfast included when you're having to pay for that, so be prepared to pay for breakfast as the items you will definitely want are not included.

This is our second visit due to the location. We were willing to pay a premium for the lake view. The location is wonderful. The house is surrounded by a lush Mediterranean garden and everywhere there are sunbeds and umbrellas. A little sandy platform is provided from where you can get straight into the lake. The air con was very efficient which was a god send given the heatwave

The check in experience was not so pleasant. The man at the desk was quite surly and not very welcoming, like he was doing us a favor in allowing us to stay there. But other staff members were friendly . Quite pricey for a three star hotel

location is absolutely amazing, sitting on the side of the lake with views from thenbedroom across the lake was fanastic. staff were great and ever so helpful. there was a wedding party on the night we stayed but the hotel made suggestions ofr dinner locally which were superb as well.

breakfast was very disappointing. there was nothing in the restaurant only a small menu card with a choice of five sweet cakes and three savoury toast options included then five egg dishes at extra cost. drinks juices etc were a guessing game as no list available. having had some amazing italian hotel breakfasts this disappointed

The hotel is quaint and very beautiful in a very quiet, tranquil location. The staff were very good and welcoming. They were happy to help with anything we asked of them. The room was quite small but it didn’t bother us, as we spent time out all the time. The restaurant sits and looks out over the lake, the view is amazing. On top of that the food and wine are exceptional, I really can’t rate the food high enough!

I enjoyed this small family owned hotel, and the owner was very accommodating and hospitable. His son speaks good English and works the front desk. I enjoyed the peace at this location as its not too close to a major road and there were no rowdy guests. You can directly take a path around the lake from this hotel, though a bit overgrown at the moment, most of the path is fine. On my last day here I finally woke up early enough to have a good (and included with my room) breakfast downstairs. In town there are several good restaurants where people speak enough English to get by.

The peace of this location has a cost (which I should have known), and its about a 25 minute walk into town and 45 minutes to the Castel Gandolfo train station unless you get transport from the hotel, and taxis/ubers don't tend to want to drive out here. Fortunately I was able to get a taxi from the front desk. This hotel would be ideal with a car, though I didn't have one the parking lot out front seemed convenient.

Absolutely beautiful location, very nice room and bathroom and a view of the lake, probably lovely and peaceful during the week but not on weekends.

There was a wedding reception on the Saturday evening which was very noisy until after 12:30 at night, the Sunday afternoon there was another function which went on all afternoon until about 7 in the evening. On this day the gate to the lake access was locked so we couldn’t even enjoy that.

Already when approaching hotel over the mountain road we were greeted with an incredible view of the Lago Albano. The hotel itself is quaint with a wonderful garden, plenty of areas to sunbathe, private access to the lake and dining area which is on a platform that gives you an stunning view of the lake and Castel Gandolfo on the other side. We were able to get by with English and some words of Italian. The room had a view of the lake as well as the terrace. There was a mosquito net, sun shades and air-conditioning, so it was possible to create the perfect climate in the bedroom. Breakfast was great, especially for Italian standards and they had various vegan milk alternatives, which we loved in our cappuccino. Dinner was surprisingly good, better than any other food we had during our Rome trip. It was also not very busy and all the other guests were Italian which was a good sign for us.

We were happy with everything, perhaps the mosquitos were a bit annoying but during August that is something that is to be expected everywhere in Italy.

Large room with balcony. Views of lake were amazing. Private jetty/ sunbed area right next to water. Great dinner and entertainment as we stayed on a Saturday night. Complementary breakfast was delicious.

Bed was uncomfortable. Walls/doors were thin could hear other guests entering their room

The location of Hotel La Culla Del Lago is just amazing. The view and private beach makes this a dream-vacation. I really recommend to take a long run or hike around the lake, its really is something! Friendly staff and amazing food as well.

Stunning location with access to the lake for a dip and lovely gardens. Glass fronted breakfast room/restaurant provides stunning view across the water. Private and romantic, sets it apart from other hotels in the area. Breakfast delicious. The restaurant serves incredible food, haute cuisine, reflected in the price but so worth it. Friendly staff. Lift from the station was much appreciated.

The addition of an armchair in the room so you could look out over the lake comfortably would have been the icing on the cake!
