I was frustrated after spending a couple hours looking for a hotel in Mt. Vernon. Reviews can make anyone uneasy about staying at a hotel. When I came back to the task, I just picked, and I'm glad I chose the Super 8. Our room was very accommodating. Everything was clean. The AC worked great. I know some travelers want a hot breakfast, but we're not that picky. Toast, waffles, yogurt.....that works for us. Our stay was for two nights. We didn't expect maid service after one night, but we came back on day 2 to fresh towels and a clean room. We are in the area every year for a family reunion, so we'll be staying here again.

That kiosk at check in! I had trouble understanding the woman. Fortunately, there was an employee who worked the desk and took over. Much appreciated!

Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Good internet connection, with several places to connect. Breakfast was good, but microwave would have been nice to warm the bagels. Maybe some muffins?

Ok, the virtual check in/out has got to go away! Don't like talking to a machine after driving 12+ hours. Very loud, so everyone in the lobby knows your business. Also, very difficult to understand the other person, who is obviously in the building behind the back wall. It alos takes much longer to check in/out with the virtual thingy. Very impersonal and not at all welcoming!

For the price, I was expecting bare bones, but it was actually very nice: coffee in room, updated bathroom, and even breakfast. Most importantly, it was very clean and quiet. During my stay, a family of five with two dogs moved in next door and I couldn't hear them through the walls.

That weird kiosk. I actually wouldn't have minded a fully automated kiosk... but trying to talk to a man on a screen in a kiosk was just awkward. Also, as a woman traveling alone, I would prefer there was a human being on site 24 hours a day.

I liked the fact that it is close to the interstate and is quiet. Also there are fast food and walk in restaurants within walking distance and a major grocery chain store within walking distance if you are a walking person

Didn't like no access to the room from the parking lot. You have to go through halls and up or down stairs from the lobby to get to your room. I also didn't like the ice machine being in the lobby. Also breakfast hours are on the short side and for handicapped ppl it's difficult to get to due to the stairs up or down. Those in wheelchairs have to exit the building and come in the front door.

It's a pretty decent Super 8. One of the better ones I've stayed in. The girl at the front desk was a total babe, & really rad. Super friendly & helpful. Great staff, overall. I'd probably go back just to talk to the front desk girl again.... but also would probably stay there again, as well.

The property is easy to access from the interstate and has a variety of businesses relatively close by. Big spotlights in the parking lot were helpful for feeling like the parking was secure. Rooms were reasonably updated and the curtains in particular were great for blocking out light.

If you don't like road noise, this is not the place for you. Also the layout is a little odd with sort of split floors.

Place was clean and was a value for what we paid. Staff was nice and professional, check in and check out was a smooth operation. The breakfast area was nice and the breakfast was good.

The bed was a little too firm for my liking, but it is a personal thing. The kiosk thing at the desk was a little confusing to me, but I'm not a tech nut and would rather do things in person.

I was really impressed with their contactless check-in process. They’ve got this kiosk setup where a person from the call center assists you through a video screen. It felt very futuristic and efficient. The best part? Your room keys are dispensed by the machine right there. It’s a great system, especially if you’re looking for a quick and hassle-free check-in after a long day of travel. Definitely adds to the convenience of staying at Super 8!

bed was comfortable. breakfast was good. when there was a real person to ask a question of they were helpful.

The virtual front desk is an odd feature. We strongly prefer to deal with a human for the check in Prior to arrival there was confusion about my reservation made through booking.com. Your representative repeatedly confused me with another party resulting in me spending a lot of time confirming my reservation.

Because I was ill and could not travel, Super 8 was able to transfer my reservation to my brother. Thank you for going our of your way to take care of that for us.

The lack of stairs to the third floor were a challenge for my brother. And no matter which floor the room had been on, there would still have been at least some stairs.
