Just can’t beat the value in location. The staff is really great and very accommodating.. this is my go to every time I come to Santa Cruz. Updated rooms, Keurig, mini fridge microwave and everything works.. every time I spill something on the floor and wipe it up the rag doesn’t turn black from high traffic like I’ve seen in other hotels, the beds are comfortable. My car is never been messed with. It’s just safe.. I highly recommend the continental though I wish they did a breakfast so many restaurants and convenience, grocery stores within walking distance they really don’t need to deal with the hassle.

It's in a good location. The room was not bad. There's a convenience store next door which made getting drinks & snacks easy. Don't count on the vending machine on site. I liked that the room came with a Keurig, fridge & microwave. It was a nice stay.

My dogs refused to use the little dog area because there were too many smells. You can tell it's never hosed down. Luckily there's a dog park a quarter mile away. The TV didn't work and the floors were a bit dirty. I could feel the grit when I walked around.

This property has been my favorite for years. It’s about a 5 min walk to all the little stores in downtown which is super convenient! The property also comes with access to a hot tub and small pool. Not only is the property nice, the staff is also excellent and I’ve only had good experiences!

The hot tub could use some love, due to the fact that not all the functions of the hot tub were available to use and it was a little dirty.

The room was very spacious and clean! Loved the way it was set up and the closed off bathroom. Bed was comfy too and had just the right amount of space on both sides/nightstands.

Honestly nothing much. Maybe having to walk back and forth from our parking spot to out hotel just due to it being across the street and there being limited parking but the room, staff, and services were fine.

Beds were very comfortable. Location was fantastic. Hotel was easy to find and access.

Everything about Hotel was great except that they charged me $25 to be able to check in early!! I have never been charged a fee to check in early. I understand if a room isn't available that I am unable to check in early but if a room IS available I don't understand why I should be charged. Unnecessary extra charge.

The entire staff is among the best thing about the property. I have traveled a lot in life and the particular stays this summer here are local stays (home is 10 minutes away). Great value. Rooms are clean. Everything is near whether your a tourist, business or a local that needs a place to stay. Securty…well it works. So we’ll that I was able to what I thought was a friend steal money out of my wallet. Amazing. I thank Sid for that one (manager here). If you need a place to stay while your out all day enjoying this spot on earth….you can’t go wrong.

The room looks nice, maybe renovated recently. The beds were comfortable. Location was great. Housekeeping did a fantastic job!

The parking was horrible. Not very many spaces so when we went out at night and came back there was.no parking. It was a three day holiday weekend and many people, like us, were escaping the heat. The bathrooms were also very small though they did the job.

I loved the cleanliness of the rooms. As soon as I walked in it smelled like bleach and right there I knew I made the right choice booking. The pictures matched the room to the T.

Nothing to change at this time. I will say if you decide to drive at night and return in the evening parking may be a challenge. We decided to leave the car and walk to the boardwalk.

Hot tub was clean and easy to use, enjoyed it a lot. Clean room, very friendly and helpful staff. I liked having the coffee maker and coffee in room, plus the microwave and minifridge which I definitely ended up needing. Bonus was the restaurant across the street, everything we tried was delicious.

Can't think of anything I didn't really like. Weekend rates were higher than weekday, but that's pretty much any hotel, it was expected, and not a negative against the place.

I enjoyed the convenience of the hotel being located next to a gas station, and a 7-11. Also, in walking distance to the boardwalk. The housekeeping women did a great job on the room every day as well as they were super kind people. They have lots of great channels to choose from on T.V. I also loved the old pictures of the boardwalk on the walls in the room.

I didn't like that they didn't have regular coffee pots or at least the option of it. The pool is only on one side of the complex. So if you're not on the side that has the pool, you have to walk across the street just to go for a quick swim.
