Luther and Felipe are the perfect example of what the hospitality industry should be like just by the way they treat their guests and staff. This place should be on the cover of a Condé Nast magazine! Everything about the Herdade do Zambujal was magnificent! It is definitely one of the most amazing places we have stayed at. This place is unique in many ways. Firstly, we were welcomed by Filipe who is the most welcoming and warm host ever! He took us around the grounds and gave us a brief history of the place...right away we felt at home. The entire staff went above and beyond to make us feel like the most important guests. The grounds are absolutely stunning thanks to the work of Paulo. Everywhere you look the view is breathtaking! We couldn't say enough about the peacefulness of this beautiful place. Every meal was prepared with love. Luther sure knows how to cook amazing Portuguese dishes that will make any foodie, like us, very happy! Everything from the presentation, attention to detail, to flavors was exceptional. Huge thank you to Cheryl and Rowena for greeting us with a smile at every meal. We could feel the dedication and passion of the whole staff at every interaction. Herdade do Zambujal will become an absolute must during our next visits to Portugal. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

We loved everything! we came here for 5 days for our mini moon after getting married in Leiria, and it was everything we had hoped for. Calm, relaxing, amazing apartment with a huge balcony and the most incredible views, a spotless and beautiful infinity pool, and the most incredible onsight restaurant with the best food we have had the pleasure of eating in Alentejo. There was definitely no need to look elsewhere for food!! We had the best time!! Filippe even gave us a bottle of sparkling wine at the end of our stay for our mini moon.

Nothing, everything was amazing!!

We were so warmly welcomed by Felipe, which was already a great start of our stay. He guided us through the herdade and gave all nice extra information about their ranch. The suite we had was so spacious, clean and full of everything you need: a very nice bathroom with great rain shower, kitchen and living room in case you want to relax, an amazing bed with an even more amazing view over the valley. Once you open the doors to your balcony you can really enjoy the beautiful gardens, valley view and all lovely sounds of birds, crickets and stars at night. Breakfast which was included was the best, next to the views, to wake up to. Lunch and dinner which can be provided for a small surcharge were exquisite, to top off with amazing wines! Luther knows how to cook delicious meals! To sum up, it was a 100/10 stay, what an amazing hosts Felipe and Luther are, with their amazing staff to make your stay unforgettable and wishing you can come back right after you left the gates of their ranch! 100% recommended!

Absolutely nothing!

Our stay at "Vistas - Herdade do Zambujal" was nothing short of extraordinary! Filipe & Luther, the hosts, went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff greeted us with warmth and hospitality, making us feel like cherished guests. The location itself was absolutely stunning, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes that seemed straight out of a postcard. The serene ambiance created a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. But what truly set this place apart was the food. Every meal was a culinary delight, prepared with such skill and care that it left us wanting more. The flavors, presentation, and attention to detail were simply outstanding. Throughout our stay, we couldn't help but notice the love and passion that the team poured into their work. Their genuine dedication and enthusiasm for making guests feel at home were evident in every interaction. The two days felt like an eternity, with time standing still, and relaxation coming effortlessly. - There’s no sign of stress. Leaving "Vistas - Herdade do Zambujal" was bittersweet, as we had grown so attached to this beautiful place and its wonderful people in only two days(!). We already know we will return, eager to relive the magical experience. We wish Filipe and Luther all the success and happiness in the world. Their dedication to providing an exceptional experience deserves all the praise. Without a doubt, this is a destination that will remain in our hearts forever. Thank you for having us!

Above all Filipe & Luther are the most loving, caring and friendly hosts that make you feel welcome (and at home) on arrival. Second (but not second place) the rest of the staff which is also perfectly friendly, helpful and very kind. Third; the views, the gardens, the infinity pool and tranquility of the accommodation. Fourth, the breakfast, lunch and dinners (and wines) we loved and looked forward to every other meal :) Fifth, but definitely not last, the room itself. Which was spacious and well-facilitated!

Nothing, not even the slightest bit

We had a fantastic short stay and wished we had booked for longer. The reviews are already outstanding but if we could give a higher score we would. The photos don’t do full justice to the place, our room was much bigger than it looked in the photo, the bathroom was huge and as well as a balcony there was also access to a roof terrace above. The food was great, both breakfast and the restaurant which was excellent and great value, and the welcome was really friendly. Perfect location for birdwatching, the wildlife in the area is really special which is why we came here and it didn’t disappoint, you don’t need to leave the premises to see rare birds flying past.

100% everything!! The photos nor description accurately capture the beauty and energy of this magical place. Every detail is thoughtful and meticulous yet it is super relaxing and stunning. The love and work Filip and Luther have put in to create this is outstanding. From the pool to the rooms, the gorgeous landscaping to the breakfast and dinners, the horses, peace and beauty and scenery - it is stunning. if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of life, come here!! nothing whatsoever

WOW! This is possibly the nicest place we’ve ever stayed at. Felipe, Luther and Team have created an absolute gem in the amazing Castro Verde landscape. We stayed in February which was gorgeous, Spring, Summer and Autumn must be mind blowing spectacular. The lodges are immaculate, the views are stunning, the food is spot on, the staff are so so kind and attentive and the value for money is extraordinary. We can’t wait to go back and continue to explore the beautiful Alentejo Region of Portugal. Thank you to all involved in our stay you are all super stars. See you again soon.

leaving after just two nights

Wonderful place, amazing view around, customer super friendly stuff, dinners are delicious, the rooms are more like a small house with your own balcony and roof terrace (with amazing view as I mentioned before). Additionally hotel area have a huge different plants in the territory and it's very beautiful (everyday men fixing everything and make it more beautiful) Keep in mind that we was in winter time, so really can't enjoy the swimming pool and hotter weather) Summarizing, it was a delicious point of our trip in the south of Portugal and if can visit it - stay for a few days! Two days for us was not enough)

Unfortunately we don't meet the owners, usually they are checking in the guests) Maybe next time we will meet them)

Amazing place in great location, staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable Food fantastic, croissants best we have tasted (sorry France!) great local and homemade, Luther is a great chef! Good value too! Rooms clean and comfortable with a roof terrace great for eating and or birdwatching! Bonelli Eagle nest in garden too! Hopefully we shall return!
