Location is superb. The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. It represents very good value for money. It was clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable, the shower had great water pressure and tons of hot water Yes, it is a little scruffy and the décor hasn't been changed in decades, but I found that kind of charming in its own way. The breakfast room is cosy and the outside terrace (open in warmer weather months) looked very nice. I was very happy with choosing Hotel Umbria.

It was probably the world's tiniest shower cubicle. It would've made more sense to have set up the bathroom as a shower wet room.

The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help and respond to queries. Even helped when I had laptop connectivity problems. The available breakfast was good value. The hotel is in the old town of Perugia, and conveniently located to all the cafes and points of interest. The town is accessed via the Mini-Metro. Look for the elevator when getting off the Mini-Metro. It is not immediately obvious.

More absorbent towels in the bathroom (terry towelling variety) would have been good, plus a powerpoint near the desk. I realise that with an old building installing electrical outlets is not easy.

The gentleman who assisted us at the reception desk was incredibly kind and accommodating, which greatly contributed to our overall experience. Additionally, the location was ideal for anyone wanting to stay in the historic center of Perugia. (also, good wifi!)

While there were aspects of our stay that could be improved upon, there were still some positive elements. Despite the lack of an elevator, the hotel's central location and attentive service were notable highlights. The beds were not very comfortable and the room didn't seem very clean.

Perfectly located in the historical centre. Clean, cosy and also offer good Italian breakfast . The staff was extremely helpful and gave Ali’s a lot of tips in terms of parking and where to go.

As the property is in the heart of Perugia and there is a lot of up and down the hill walk, I would recommend to carry a cabin luggage rather than a big suitcase. The streets are also narrow within the historical centre and if you are planning to rent a car, get a small one:)

Nice place at the top of Perugia. It's a two stars (**) hotel, so please don't assume this will be a palace. Staff is super friendly and always at the desk (also during the night), so there is always a personal welcome when you enter. I loved the bed, the mattress was comfy and not too soft for my taste. The bathroom was small and a bit worn down (e.g. shower cabin leakages fixed with silicone), but fully functional. There is a daily room service, cleaning everything and fixing your bed. And changing towels (@hotel owner: you could easily put up signs to tell guests to drop used towels on the floor to indicate they want them changed - by default, towels then would remain in use). Have not tried breakfast.

In our room, the bathroom was behind the bed. But the adjacent room's bathroom was also on this side of the wall and one could hear people speaking/flushing their toilet. Woke me up at 3am.

Location very central, in less than a minute you can be near the cathedral. Room decent size and clean, bed is comfortable, TV works well, Shower with constant hot water and good water pressure. Staff very helpful, the even helped with the luggage up to our room as there is no lift in this two floor hotel. Hotel is an old house and the charm of the building has been retained.

The fact that I could not stop in front of the hotel with my car to drop off my luggage on arrival/departure. No lift but got help with luggage from staff - Big Thank you to them. Steep steps to go up to city center, and as car cannot stop in front of hotel one still need to walk up these steps or uphill to get around. However, as soon as you are up the steps into the main street, everything is very accessible and easy to reach.

The city center of Perugia is an interesting place with all of the quirks of being a modern city within medieval walls. The Hotel Umbria is part of that charm being hidden within the backstreets of the city center. It is perfectly placed to enjoy the history of Perugia. The staff gave great recommendations on sights and restaurants. Convenient to the train station via the minimetro. Would gladly stay there again.

We had a friendly welcoming by the host. The receptionist had a great sense of humour and spoke english fluently. The room was tidy and was fair value for the price. We parked our car on the streets close to the hotel and got a special paper (under the windshield) by the host, witch was an affordable way for parking (paid the parking fee to the host). The location is close to the city center, in walking distance to the main attractions.

The hotel is located in the centre. It has a nice small garden where you can have breakfast outdoor on a warm, sunny day. The room is well equipped. Has a hairdryer. I was initially skeptical about the towels because they looked like line tea towels. However, they were very absorbent. Its a 2 star hotel with a 5 star service.

Nothing, unless you don't like vintage furniture.

Great location! Lovely small hotel right in the centre of Perugia. The staff at reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the price was reasonable.

The single room was tiny. The furniture and bathroom were quite dated, but on the other hand, it was very clean.
