Everything about the location and interior design of this hotel is very nice. Specially the room is very nice in design. I have to say that the food isn´t up to standards regarding how good chefs we do have in Iceland then I have to say it is far from being up to standard. The food is old fashion like from 1990-2000 what chefs were doing on that time. We did go the day after to Krauma and had dinner there, that is one of our favorite restaurant.

The staff was very warm and friendly. The hotel itself was warm and welcoming. I particularly enjoyed the spa and would recommend that everyone make some time to try it out during their stay. The restaurant was also great for an evening meal and the food was excellent quality.
There were no other options close by for food or drinks. Apart from some short trails close to the hotel, there weren't any great walking or running routes to enjoy.

Ample rooms, nice staff, clean and is currently modernized. The staff did take into account our request for a quiet room — thanks for that!
Overall it was a nice stay but we were quite disappointed by the breakfast — especially regarding the bread. It really is a pity that in a country such as Iceland, the only bread offered is industrial soft sandwich bread, especially in this kind of hotel. It makes all the difference! For the sake of your next guests, please improve that point!

This is a very nice hotel for its location in Reykholt. Rooms were clean and all the basic amenities available.
The extra charge $25 charge to use the hot tubs/sauna/gym was rather superfluous. The “spa” is very basic and the hot tubs are super small. Considering the price of the rooms (which were also quite basic) and the “basicness” of the spa, the spa should be included in the room price. Will also add that the menu for our family was a little limited and there isn’t much else in Reykholt for family dinining. We ended up at Hverinn restaurant and it was perfect! Highly recommend !

During our Stay, the Hotel was still busy with renovation/reconstruction. However, Noise/dirt emissisions were kept to a minimum and did not bother us at all. The new rooms are modern and very spatious. The new design of the hotel looks great. Food in the restaurant was very good.
The hot tub (spa) closes at 9 pm. we did choose the hotel because of the hot tub and we were never able to visit it due to the opening hours.

Very classy hotel. The 3 of us stayed in the suite and the property was a good sized one with a bath tub and a spa on the verandah. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with a nice spread. The accomodation was not cheap but it was worth the money spent. Will definitely return if going back to Iceland.

Rooms were very large and good size bathroom. Had a door opening into the spa area also. We ate at the restaurant both nights and the food was phenomenal. I am gluten free and they have plenty of options as well as complementary GF bread!
Couldn't use the spa facilities- these were extra. With the cost of the hotel I think they should have been included

Everything. We arrived from USA very early for our reservation. Was about 9 am. Room not ready. When reception realized that we were tired from our travels they invited us into the breakfast buffet on their dime. While we were at breakfast they had a room cleaned up for us so we could check In early. Wonderful and very much appreciated service. We will be staying at more fosshotels during our trip.

The rooms were spacious, nice, and comfortable. It has good common areas, the spa area was nice, dinner was good and the included breakfast was great, one of the best we had in Iceland.
They could do a better cleaning in the spa area. The steam room was cold and smelled like mold forming in it (I get allergies when inhaling the spores of mold). The small hot tub had mold on the walls, as it was dark I didn't see it until I went inside and touch the walls. The other two hot tubs were fine, just didn't have information about the temperature, and one of them was very hot (at least for us).

We had an excellent breakfast, lots of choices. We stayed here because we were doing the tour INTO THE GLACIER, and it was close to this hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We would recommend this hotel.
Not applicable. There wasn’t a thing we didn’t like.
