Our stay at Goonoo Goonoo Station was amazing. We stayed in the Shearers Quarters which looked so authentic from the outside and so beautiful and modern inside. Styling was exceptional. We had dinner at the onsite The Glasshouse Restaurant and it was truly a fantastic experience. The gardens in the village are breathtaking and everything is so well maintained. Photos can not do justice to the place. The scenery, accomodation and peacefulness of the place is so lovely. We will be recommending others to make sure they visit and enjoy the whole experience.
Would love a covered gathering space near the Shearer's Quarters (maybe a gazebo)

So, my partner and I stumbled upon Goonoo Goonoo Station during our epic Aussie road trip, and boy, are we glad we did! We only stayed for one night, but it was like stumbling upon a little slice of paradise in the middle of nowhere. First things first, finding the place in the dark was a bit of an adventure. So, if you're rolling in after sunset like we did, just keep your eyes peeled because it's tucked away, but totally worth the hunt. Once we finally made it, though, it was like stepping into a whole other world. The station is oozing with history, and our room was the perfect mix of cozy and swanky. Plus, the staff? Super friendly and made us feel right at home. Now, here's the kicker: the surroundings. During the day, it's like something out of a postcard. Seriously, take a minute to soak it all in. Trust me, you won't regret it. We didn't get to explore as much as we wanted, but even just a taste of the scenery left us in awe. Oh, and let's not forget about the grub. The restaurant on-site served up some seriously tasty dishes. Locally sourced ingredients, bursting with flavor—definitely a highlight of our stay. So, if you're cruising across Oz and looking for a unique stopover, do yourself a favor and hit up Goonoo Goonoo Station. Just remember, keep an eye out for it in the dark, and save some time to bask in the beauty of the surroundings during the day. You can thank me later! 🚗💨

What a wonderful property. There is real attention to detail here which deserves merit. The gardens are immaculate but wonderfully designed, the rooms are beautifully appointed - I loved that they had a coffee maker, and the location is superb. If you want to have time away in peace and quiet, this is for you. We stayed in one of the Shearer's Quarters rooms - not a large room, but very comfortable and with a little table and chairs outside on the verandah.
We ate at the Glasshouse restaurant. Great food, but my partner, who is a vegetarian, had the tagliatelli. The serving was, according to my partner, a child-size portion and for $46 I think they could afford to be a bit more generous.

There is no doubt this is luxury farm stay, and the renovations are second to none. We had lunch in glasshouse restaurant and it was good, but the view is just superb. I was very surprised at how well the bar fridge was stocked, and the number of people there over the New Year period. The gardens, even for a non-gardener, were well done and well maintained. If you stay, do yourself a favor and do a drive to Nundle and have lunch at the Peel Inn -- you will be surprised.
As regular travelers, and for the cost, it was a bit disappointing not to have a toaster or microwave in the room -- mind you there is no room for either, so a common area or camp kitchen would be convenient, but I guess it will take away from the restaurant. Not everyone wants to eat a high priced meal every day.

We stayed two nights on the way home from Uralla and were warmly welcomed on arrival. The accommodation is fabulous and the gardens are outstanding. Every team member we met was smiling and engaging. We dined at Glasshouse on the first night. The food was delicious and service experience was first class. We will return to the station in the future for sure. Without hesitation we will recommend to family and friends.
Our only recommendation is that the shower door should open (out) without competing with the bath mat. Otherwise we loved everything about our stay.

A beautiful property that has been developed with great taste and style. Goonoo Goonoo is a fabulous spot for a stay if travelling in the region. I stayed in the Shearers' Quarters as a treat on a long drive between Glen Innes and the Blue Mountains , the perfect spot to break the journey. The welcome was warm and the room beautifully appointed. Waking in the morning to the distant sounds of the cattle herd and the birdlife was just gorgeous. In addition, I enjoyed delicious food and great service in the Glasshouse restaurant, a short stroll across the property from my room.
Very little to fault. Perhaps the option for non dairy milk in my room. However I'm sure, if I had asked, that it would have been provided.

Beautifully maintained property in scenic setting. The glasshouse restaurant has magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. We stayed in the shearers’ shed-a renovated and spacious room with a king bed, a sitting area and a well equipped bathroom. The property is an easy drive (about 20 km) south of Tamworth.
The rural NSW alcohol laws where you can’t have a neat whiskey, it needs to be on ice. You also can’t have a double, but ordering two singles is ok. This is however not the property’s doing.

Goonoo Goonoo Station is extraordinarily beautiful. Our stay here was nothing short of perfection. The peacefulness of the station, with only the sounds of nature are soothing to the soul and perfect for a recharge. From the moment we arrived the welcoming was warm. The accommodation is so thoughtfully styled and hug you comfortable. The beds are feather like dreamy. From every window, there are views forever. We dined evening and breakfasts at the Glasshouse restaurant, and it is 10/10 for ambience, food, bar and service. The staff at the station are completely delightful, making our stay wonderful. We will be back!

Our perfect oasis on the road trip south! Check-in was easy and our quaint a/c room in the Shearer's Quarters was beautifully appointed with a comfy King bed. We enjoyed a walk around the 'village' before splashing into the pool on a very hot afternoon. The 'big sky' emerged as we relaxed on the verandah once the evening breezes bought relief from the heat of the day. Breakfast was a delight.
The toilet seat needed to be re-set and tightened down. A simple fix for a handy person, but a minor irritation.

Stunning restoration, incredible place, heaven on earth, I could have stayed forever.
The only thing I would change would be to have a less formal /gourmet dinner menu. Our dinner was absolutely lovely but after a long travel and being far from any other amenities I was looking forward to a bigger meal, even a few options along side the gourmet selections would be nice. I know it is hard to cater to all but having the option of each, or even a more laid back sharing platters option would really make this a stand out with such a view it would be a great place to relax and enjoy a laid back drink on the deck. We also overheard others talking about having to stop for extra food after visiting the glasshouse for dinner as they were unfortunately still hungry. Breakfast was amazing beyond belief and very well priced. Overall very very happy with our stay
