Very clean, comfortable room, nice shower & bathroom, decent thick bath towels and a hand towel, comfortable bed and friendly English speaking guy on Reception. All the staff - and the dog - were very welcoming. Many thanks. We really enjoyed our stopover. The location is superb. Right in the heart of Amboise. There was a kettle in the room and a complimentary bottle of water.

There is no actual car park linked to the hotel.. There are two free ones a couple of hundred yards away but both were solid in March, so must be worse in summer. The unloading bay opposite was occupied permanently by a private car. The road is narrow and part of a one-way system. . Paid parking is easier, but a problem if you have heavy luggage to transport as you could be some distance away. Our room was small, as in the description. Most comfortable certainly, but hard to simultaneously open two full-sized cases for an overnight stop.

Location was great - right in the centre of Amboise; staff very friendly and also good communication when there was the possibility that we would not reach the hotel whilst reception was open. We all enjoyed the breakfast. Double rooms were quite small but very clean & had everything we needed. Blinds & AC ensured that we all slept well despite the warm evening.

We did not have breakfast but the hotel was convenient for restaurants. Right in the centre of Amboise. The recommended restaurant was excellent.

The information about parking could have been better. The streets are very narrow and we were lucky to find a car park that was free overnight but quite a long way to carry our luggage.

Great location in centre of Amboise and across the road from a free parking lot. The bed was very comfortable and the air con worked perfectly.

Nothing - it was exactly as expected from a basic hotel. I would have liked some milk sachet to make tea but that’s being picky.

The position close to the Loire river was wonderful not to mention the village. As we travelled to Amboise via train it meant we were able to get around every where on foot.

The room was a nice size with a nice big desk. The river was next store and there was pretty view from room #9 which was the room I rented. The breakfast was really tasty and sweet. The train is close by the hotel.

Would have preferred less stairs. Rooms small but adequate. Restaurant not good, left for almost an hour without an offer of a drink or a menu. No water or bread supplied. Couple on next table walked out after a long wait.

I visited here with my 3 boys on our road trip. We were able to visit Chateau Amboise, Chateau Chenonceau, and Chateau Close de Luce all in one day while staying here. The hotel is right in the center of town - very easy to walk to the Chateau or the River. The room is simply furnished but very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The nice young man at the front desk was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful and spoke English well which made it easier for me. We had a nice little breakfast in the morning which was perfect before going to visit the castles. Would definitely stay here again. Also, Amboise is the cutest little village and I completely fell in love with it - it is a must visit in my opinion! Between the chateaus, the beautiful sunset over the Loire River, the winding cobblestones streets, it is so romantic and pretty.

Breakfast was nice and we were glad of air conditioning. The room was a good size.

Traffic outside was noisy - not much the hotel could do about that.
