Hotel is centrally located amongst the street shops and restaurants. I chose it because it’s the best hotel in the area. Rooms overlook the sea. Excellent noise insulation from the street with door having special sealing, meaning it had to be pulled hard to close. The wifi was strong throughout the hotel and gardens/grounds. The lawn area facing the beach is so peaceful to lay back on a deck chair in the shade of the palm trees and listen to the sound of the sea and birds. Contrary to comments by others I saw no issue with the ravens. These birds are common across south East Asian. Breakfast selection was not extensive, unlike some large international hotel chains, but the Sri Lankan curries were so tasty and the bread rolls still warm I enjoyed the breakfast every day. Kassandra, Guest Relations Officer said the rolls were made by a bakery across the street. Lots of tv programs with 3 English movie channels. Nice pool and gym.

Room safe had an error message on several occasions meaning staff had to come and open it for me. Notwithstanding, the staff were very responsive and understanding when doing so.

The staff were amazing. We got there way early but they cleaned our room and within half an hour we we in it. The hotel is so well designed you don't end up walking for days. The bar, the pool. the restaurant are all perfectly positioned. The pool is near the beach and even though it was a windy day we did not feel it at the pool. The breakfast was probably the best I have had in Sri Lanka. The spa was absolutely amazing and we got a 15% discount! I could not fault this hotel - absolute gem of a find.

Perhaps some drinks or snacks in the room fridge would have made an amazing stay even better.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel for 2 nights. The staff were so kind and helpful. We traveled with our baby and really appreciated them accommodating her at breakfast and engaging with her throughout the stay. The pool area is gorgeous and the view throughout the hotel was amazing. Food at breakfast was delicious. Perfect spot for the sunset. Special mention to Riyas (Manager) and Dananjay (breakfast) and the pool staff for making our stay extra special.

Definitely one the nicest hotels in the area, includes all comforts and amenities, breakfast was rich and with lots of options and variety of cuisines,definitely recommended stay, room was also very nice and comfortable, they provided everything for a perfect stay, even flip flops for the beach which was very appreciated.

Nothing really, only thing i would mention is that the beach is not private but public, access is in front of the pool garden so still easy to access but you need to keep your belongings at the pool which is in the hotel’s property and exit to access the beach, i was under the impression before arriving that the beachfront was going to be reserved to hotel guests.

The hotel is nice and in a convenient location. We got an upgrade to a presidential suit but it was extremely small room to my surprise. The staff is friendly and they are there to help. Great location near all restaurants and bars.

Quite small room for presidential suit for 3 of us. The room was clean but would need some tlc. Some cupboard doors been uneven and sun loungers seen better days, really need an update. Not quite sure that this is a 5star hotel though! We’ve missed the breakfast so can’t comment on that.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. On arrival we were given VIP treatment coupled with a curtesy drink. Check in was smooth and the staff was amazing. The facilities were brilliant and we enjoyed the bar at the swimming pool. The hotel is a walking distance from many restaurants. Their tours desk helped us plan what we could do and arranged a tour company for us. Breakfast was very good with a variety of food in their buffet. Thank you to all the staff for making our first visit to Sri Lanka memorable.

At times breakfast was not always hot.

We loved having lots of grass and greenery, with lots of squerrels, lizards and some nice birds. The pool was nice as well, our kids enjoyed it. We actually were not expecting to much from the main restaurant but i must say it exceeded out expectations. Very yammy food, and good variaty of food during breakfast.

A part of the pool was under the maintenance (( lots of crows everywhere, the beach is public and not very well maintained unfortunately, not the best location to enjoy the beach and the ocean. We had some issue with our the AC wasn't working properly and lots of mosquitoes when we just entered in the room, the staff was helpful and changed our room, I must say no mosquitos in the other room.

Buffet breakfast was excellent. The rooms were clean & comfortable & nicely decorated over looking the sea. The staff couldn't do enough for you and are always there to help in every area of the hotel. It is a shame that the resort isn't busy as the country is still getting on it's feet after Covid and some unrest in the country as the people are absolutely lovely and deserve to do well. I can't praise the staff enough.

The shallow pool was not in use as it needs repairing which lets the hotel down. They need to fix it as it makes the pool area look better.

Breakfast was lovely. We ordered room service for dinner and the food was excellent. Beds were extremely comfortable. We were told we were upgraded but I don't think we were as the room was pretty small and looked just like the photos of the room we booked. Maybe we were on a higher floor....not sure. Staff were great with our little one.

The kids / shallow pool was emptied which was so disappointing and no where were we informed during booking. It looked really dirty which was a shame for the view from the room. We also booked an early checkin / late check out offer and found the service person we spoke to so rude about this and kept telling us it was $50 for a late check out. In the end, managed to get 12pm check in and 2pm check out but it was a hassle!

We got an upgrade, so we had the most wonderful view over the beach. The room is big and the beds are very comfortable. The pool is great for swimming and has easy beach acces. We loved the massages, they were very good! And the little cafe on the other side of the road, the best croissants we ever had!!

The restaurant was a bit a negative. The food is very good, also the staff is very nice and knowledgable. But we didn't like the atmosphere. After one dinner, we went out for the next dinner. A lot of options in the street on walking distance.
