Gratuity payment added to bill without my knowledge was a bit cheeky

Our accessible room was well fitted out,generously sized and with several alarm cords. Ample shelf space in the bathroom and a snug heated towel rail. Staff were exceptional. Continental breakfast was superb and the dinner menu varied and was consistently sublime. Complimentary gin in the room with an evening ice/lemon/fresh milk room service trolley was an inspired touch. If you are getting the impression that we enjoyed our week's stay you are absolutely right!

Hotel hosts functions and we were kept awake by an external door banging as guests left. Shame that there was not a closer on it to reduce the noise

The location is nice and the room very quiet. The rooms are well equipped, including cleaver low level night lights but are missing a few features. Housekeeping were excellent, and the ice and lemon service at 18:00 a nice touch. Continental breakfast good. From the Bookings description I expected full breakfast without paying a £10 each supplement.

The room would benefit from the addition of coat hooks just inside the door. The bathroom design is not optimised. The toilet is too close to the bath. The wash basin tap [room 410] is incorrectly plumbed. The mixer function hot is turn to the right whereas the correct notation is turn to the left. We were unable to make a restaurant reservation for 23rd Nov because the hotel hosted a large Xmas party. The hotel could have had the decency to notify us of this fact long ago. The Spa is ok but the pool a little cool and the spa bath could have been much warmer.

Attentive professional staff across the board - reception, restaurant, bar and spa. Very clean and comfy room + "snug" double was a lot larger than expected. Food at Upper Deck is delicious and spa facilities are great - you can walk from your room in your robe and slippers directly into the lift and down to the spa/gym. Gym is well equipped (benches, dumbbells, cardio machines inc. ski erg), though not big. I booked a 90 minute massage and the lady was late to start (only 75 mins) but when I let the spa reception know they offered me a wonderful 30minute complimentary massage of my choice to apologise - fantastic customer service.

I was lucky to get a parking space in the car park - it's not small but fills up quickly due to number of rooms. I wish I'd known about the "hideaway" area next to the pool to relax and read etc, make sure to ask about it!

Did not like having to pay extra for a cooked breakfast. Also on one evening we were unable to reserve a table for dinner between 18.15 and 20.15, presumably because of issues around a wedding. Surely residents should be given more priority on such occasions. We had spent quite a lot of money with you and felt your priorities were inappropriate. We would appreciate a response to this if we are to use Harbour hotels again.

The view from the restaurant is fabulous and I really enjoyed being able to sit outside to eat for both breakfast and dinner. Looking out over water while you eat is just perfect! All staff were excellent. Loved the complimentary Gin and tonic in the room! The pool and spa area was clean, pleasant and very relaxing but unfortunately the hot tub wasn't working while we were there.

I wasn't aware until we arrived that full English Breakfast was no longer standard in your hotels. The car park was chaotic when we arrived because there was a wedding, which was made for a bit of a stressful arrival but fortunately a very friendly member of your staff came out to assist and all was well in the end. A warning email in advance might have been useful .

Quality of the staff. Attention in the dining room was exceptional. Room size more than ample. Bathroom well equipped.

Bed linen. Too much filler in the fabric (cellulose). Promoted sweating and poor sleep quality. Bathroom water not hot enough for wet shaving. Room 102 is by the entrance to the Spa facility. Had to keep the blinds closed to stop people peering into the room, vehicles parked right outside the windows. Very unpleasant.

Staff are wonderful, food is very tasty and its a nice hotel with great location for beach, walks, waterfront.

Breakfast detailed on Booking.com as included is just for CONTINENTAL! Beware... Cottage rooms whilst lovely and specious are located in the carpark, next to the main road. No views, can be noisy and don't have aircon. I wouldn't pay extra - stay in a main hotel room and have less space for the amount of time you spend in your room anyway! If you're looking for to supplement your stay with an evening outside of the hotel, it will require a taxi ride. Nothing much local, but the hotel and Jetty restaurant is lovely enough to spend your time there. The jacuzzi was out of order during our stay sadly. The pool is cool (temperature), it's a bit dark and there is a lack of loungers if you're looking to chill by the pool (there are only two!)

Great location. Really enjoyed my time in the spa area. Kelly made me feel completely at ease for my treatment and managed to book me an additional treatment that I was unable to book online in advance. Mixologist in the hotel bar was great. Friendly, knowledgeable and happy to advise on cocktail choice (sorry, I can’t remember his name) We went to The Jetty for dinner on the second night…. Faultless

The room was very comfortable, clean (apart from a stain on the carpet by the bed… perhaps a rug could disguise this) and spacious. However we were disappointed to be disturbed both mornings by delivery trucks parked right outside our window and there was a fair bit of noise while they loaded / unloaded their cargo

Beautiful location with superb staff; excellent food and very comfortable rooms. The sea view room was worth the extra money.

The spa was run down with signs of aging in the fabric of the pool area. Also the soft furnishings were water stained and worse still, covered in salt lines from sweaty guests not using towels to sit on. The choice of pale blue cloth makes no sense in a spa. The neck jet in the jacuzzi was industrial strength and deafening when in use. Signs say “Tranquil space” but acoustics meant all conversations and the “jet wash” killed that vibe.
