Nice hotel, free wifi, excellent location, very friendly staff, free use of common fridge downstairs in what used to be a breakfast room, air conditioning in the rooms, nice balcony, walking distance to central station, beach, promenade and city centre, very clean rooms, good shower, discount on ticket for the beach

As there are no meals/drinks available in the hotel, an electric kettle with some cups in the room would be nice, so you could make yourself a cup of tea or coffee.

We were pleasantly surprised to find Viareggio to be such a splendid town, and we couldn't have had a better place to stay. Giordano and Patrizia are wonderful hosts, always ready to help in any way they can. The room is small but more than adequate, the beds comfy, the air conditioning fine, and the windows are thick enough to block any random street noise. This hotel is a terrific value. It's a quick kilometer from the train station, so we used it as a base from which to visit the delightful town of Lucca (20 minutes) and Cinque Terre (around an hour.) The beaches charge, but it is well worth it to have some shade, a clean beach, and lifeguards.

The hotel host Giordano was most welcoming, friendly and shared with us many places to see and visit.

No breakfast or coffee service at this point but we were told about a wonderful coffee & pastry place just a minute away- Fauzias- great!

Very good location. Easy access to the beach and promenade. Staff were very friendly. Quiet at night, safe. I would recommend. Facilities clean and as expected for a 2star hotel.

Leaving the key behind on the open shelf whenever I left the hotel took a bit to be comfortable with. But I had no problems and felt safe.

A brilliant place to stay . Right near the beach and restaurants. The train station is a short walk where you can explore pisa and Florence. It's lovely and clean and your room is cleaned every day . There is a fridge you can use which really helped . But the main thing is the owner . He was so helpful. Any information you needed he was on hand . What station to get off , what restaurants are best . One of us is a vegan and the other gluten free and he told us a lovely restaurant to go to . All in all I couldn't of stayed in a better hotel.

I LOVED Hotel Ondina! It was cozy, clean and close to everything. The owners were lovely and gave us great reccomendations. The room were spacious for me and my partner and we really enjoyed our stay.

The stay was great, comfortable and clean, don't expect luxury, but it's well kept and more than enough for a good night's sleep. There's fridges you can use and a lovely dining/outside area. Overall very homely. The host was amazing and incredibly knowledgeable about the surrounding areas if you're planning to also visit Italy after Viareggio it's well worth a chat, he gave us some great tips on locations, parking, etc.

We had a very nice stay at Hotel Ondina in Viareggio. The Hotel is super central, 100 Meter from the beach and 200 meter from the haven. the lovely host of the hotel has always very helpful tipps for restaurants or anything else and as well can reservate umbrellas at the beach and organize parking tickets for your car. Nice and cozy hotel with some charme and outstanding hosts.

Location and helpful staff

Paid for room on booking.com. When I went to check out they said the charge was for insurance...really insurance the same price as my stay. I showed him the booking on the app and how it says nothing about "insurance" I finally paid the guy again so I could leave. This is the second time I have had a problem with booking.com. Either way someone owes me money back. The hotel is not worth 2X the price.

Very nice hotel, super friendly and helpful staff that always helped out with restaurant suggestions and other tips on what to do. The room was small but functional and the beds were OK. Location to the beach and restaurants was excellent.

No refrigerator in the room, but common refrigerators for the guests in the reception area
