Our room had an amazing view - it definitely is worth paying the extra couple of EUR. You can hear water running on the river and ‘waterfalls‘ nearby, as well as the church bell - something nice for me, but perhaps others may disagree. The bathroom was updated and the hotel’s location is excellent. Dinner and breakfast were really good, even if the restaurant’s menu felt a little limited. They organise Museum tours only for guests but we had to leave earlier. There was a temporary art exhibition in the breakfast area.

The bathroom light turns on & off automatically with a sensor movement. I understand it is for energy saving purposes but perhaps there is a way to solve this differently… just a thought.

The best location right in the middle of town and walking distance to everything. Your stay includes free admission to the museum and there is a decent restaurant on site. if you get a room with a river view then you can pretty much see all the main sights without leaving the hotel :) Warm and comfortable with free parking on site.

Breakfast at additional charge and no fridge or tea making facilities in the room.

Breakfast was excellent (continental style) and the restaurant in the same building was very good as well.

Parking places in the hotel are limited and not bookable. If they are full, finding a place around might be quite challenging. The bathroom was pretty small and, even if materials were of good quality, there was a persistent bad smell coming from the shower sewage. This is why we gave an 8 instead of a 10

Quirky little hotel, overlooking the river in a pretty mountain village. Room 401 was a good size with a good shower, no way of containing water in the sink to shave though, which wastes a huge amount of hot water every time if you wet shave. There was a free bottle of water in the room, no kettle and no English TV channel, not even free BBC News. Food in the restaurant was good, good breakfast. Good views of the river from bedroom window.

To get to the river for a swim, you have to wear clothes and trek through and round the hotel.

Excellent position on the river and central to town. Private parking (spaces for motorbikes). Restaurant on the terrace with views of the river, including a 'water mist' area for the kids/dogs when it is hot. Food was excpetional and the staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a few days to chill out and relax.

Nothing.

This is a rather quirky hotel, situated, as the name infers, on the river as part of the Musée de l’Eau. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, although a little lacking in character. The restaurant was excellent with a superb view over the river. Breakfast is taken in the museum cafe. There is private parking in the courtyard to the museum.

Room was basic but quite comfortable; as I had expected. Receptionist very helpful in both check-in and checking my biking routes for the next day (although unfortunately my target road was closed). Free entrance to the Museum of water for hotel guests was a bonus. Restaurant was a bit basic in decor, but the food was quite good. A popular destination for the locals. Breakfast was more or less what you would expect.

Nothing I can think of.

Parking was in a small courtyard outside the hotel. We arrived early and were given immediate acces to our rooms. Hotel is situated next to the river with a nice walk along the banks. The restaurant was happy to accomodate a gluten free request from one of our party for the evening meal by exchanging items on the menu.

The location was great and the view from our room was outstanding 🤩 The air felt so clean, The reception area was cool with all the water bottles. We ate in the restaurant at night and had a decent meal. Good breakfast.

Rooms a bit basic, but good enough for an overnight stay

The staff was very nice and welcoming. The hotel is nicely situated in a natural surrounding of a small town. I had a room on the 4th floor with a little bit of a view. Parking was very convenient.

The room was a bit small and the bed a bit firm, but it was still a good stay.
