The Hotel Dagmar in Ribe receives our highest ratings for quaint hotel in beautiful locations in Denmark. We were very fortunate to travel in early summer before hot weather arrived. The rooms are adequately sized and have no air conditioning. This was not a problem for us at this time of year, but could cause less comfort for middle of summer travelers. Good breakfast and perfect location among sights in Ribe. Food in the town of Ribe was very good.

Glad we did not travel in heat of summer - there were no fans visible or air conditioning in rooms. We did not expect air conditioning, but other travelers may expect it.

The hotel is in a great location right in the centre of town. I requested a quiet room which I got. It was at the back so the view wasn't as good but it was worth it for me as there was no noise. A good choice of food for breakfast and complementary hot drinks available during the day and evening which was a nice touch.

It was such a wonderful stay at Hotel Dagmar in Ribe!! We totally enjoyed the old, historic building and the lovely room with the view to the street. So we heard the nightwatchman singing in the evening. I definitely want to make a longer visit in the future!! The breakfast was great and the staff is so totally friendly. Thank you so very much for the impressive days!!

There is nothing, I didn’t like about Hotel Dagmar.

Fabulous historic hotel that is impeccably clean and comfortable. The hotel staff are friendly and even offer bottled water upon departure. The buffet breakfast is quite plentiful with a lot of variety. The restaurant staff are very attentive and keep all food choices available and replenished. The outdoor area is on the main plaza and is wonderful for evening food or cocktails. A truly lovely choice in a special town.

The location is great to discover Ribe since it’s perfect in the center. It’s really cozy and has a great vibe, beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and absolutely sufficient, we were even able to make fresh waffles.

Of course the Hotel is a little bit older and it shows in some places, bathrooms maybe need a deep clean or renovation.

The location of this hotel could not be better, right in the middle of Ribe. I really liked the attentive service at reception and the wonderful dinner service experience we had with Maja. Breakfast was good with everything you would wish for on the buffet - even a waffle maker!

The location in the centre of the old town Ribe. Oldy worldy hotel is exactly our taste. We loved the uneven floors, doors, walls and the old paintings on the walls.

We have no complaints.

The excellent breakfast buffet, as well as the exceptional "Night Watchman" tour, held every evening from May to October.

Nothing really to complain about. The hotel is quaint, but you're paying for the charm, as well as it being Denmark's oldest hotel.

Atmosphere, location, friendly reception staff. God size room. Clean.

Room furnishing for clothing was sparse. It seemed geared up for a one night stay guest rather than tourers staying as long as we did. But this was a very minor issue and the only one.

We stayed in the Annex of the hotel, and it was a more private set-up than being in the main building of the hotel, which we loved, and it had a personal backyard for the guests to use. The room was surprisingly large and modern! All the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful!

Although there was a large seating area for breakfast, with beautiful, old decor, the buffet area itself was quite small, and therefore felt crowded when dishing up food. I would have appreciated a little more space, in particular in times of Covid, especially with mask-mandates now lifted. However, I will note, that this did not detract from our wonderful stay there!
