Super clean and rooms ambiance is very good. There is coffee machine and everything looks new. The hosts were very nice, they gave me checkin instructions and responded quickly for my questions, and also on checkout they saw my luggage and offered me if I want to keep there for the day and provided me access to building and also common toilet.

Showers is small but it’s not big deal but it’s super clean

My room was clean as cleaning was done every day and the middle of the week all the towels were replaced. The size of the room was comfortably big but only shower cube was small. I enjoyed coffee, orange juice and some sweets in the morning. I had a problem of locking my room but always Antonio locked for me. The hotel is situated in quiet street so no disturbance for sleep but the wall of the room was a little thin so sometimes there was noise from the above or my fellow guests. The location was good. A few minutes walk to Pizza Santo Spirito and other restaurants area. Also about 10 minuets walk to Palazzo Pitti and easy walk to Uffizi and Duomo. The day I left Florence was a heavy rainy day and Antonio ordered a taxi to the station for me. The price was quite good if you think of the above good things. I was a female lone traveler but I had a very cosy stay. Thank you Antonio for providing me a comfortable stay!

Feeling of safety. The place is secure, the access is limited to authorised stuff and guests. Apartment is located in a very calm and secure place. Also there is a safe box in the wall allowing to hide some valuables without worrying of losing them. Well organised process of accomodation. Easy access to all needed information. Friendly and honest approach of the host and all employees. Cleanness, especially clean bathroom and all hygienic appliances. Information of suggested place where one can eat a meal, divided on time period of the day (breakfast - lunch - dinner). Possibility to leave luggage after checkout for a couple of hours so I could go for the last walk/sightseeing without any burdens. The place had all I needed.

The host is very caring and attentive!! The neighborhood of the hotel is very quiet and we felt safe at night too. Even if it’s not situated in the very city center, everything is in easy walking distance. You can even find lots of hidden gem cafes, bars, breakfast places, gelateria nearby in the small lanes, away from tourists, queues or crowds! Flexible check-in and free luggage storage after check-out are big bonus!! The small snack offered every day is also a very sweet gesture of the host :)

Antonio has been an excellent staff; I got quick response to my questions and requests. Room is cleaned daily and snacks and drinks are refilled on a daily basis which is over and beyond my expectations (other hotels only give one off freebies). There’s Lavazza coffee machine outside the room and we were given capsule everyday. Very smooth payment, check-in and check-out process. Very quiet and had perfect quality of sleep. Good perfect water pressure. The location is 20-30 minutes away from all places of interest. The room is spacious and got shelves and coat hangers in the wardrobe and a full sized mirror. We’re allowed to store our suitcases after checkout. Highly recommended place to stay in the heart of Florence.

These are not deal breakers but more of nice to have / rooms for enhancement: - bin was not emptied when we checked in (rubbish from previous guests still there) but emptied the next day which I think was just an oversight. - shower head holder doesn’t stay/hold up and it slides all the way down, which is fine as for my height but may be issue for tall people; - AC was set at certain temperature at 24C (tried everything on the remote) but I was still able to sleep well

The Althea Rooms is located near the center but in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, making it ideal for relaxation. The room itself is very clean and spacious, and there was water and snacks waiting for me, which was a pleasant surprise. Inside the room, there are steps and level differences between the spaces. It’s worth noting that this room is one of several within a large apartment that has been converted into six independent units. Quite an interesting arrangement.

- The location is near to Pitti Palace, across the Ponte Vecchio bridge. - The Duomo and Uffizi Gallery are a maximum of 15 minutes' walk away. - Trattoria Boboli, a great dinner spot, is only a 5-minute walk away. - Other dining options are also within a 5-minute walk (300 meters). The host was helpful and made the stay feel comfortable, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.

The shower gel/soap was missing for the shower.

The room was nice although it was small (I was alone so its ok!)... but the bathroom was really "big" for european standards and modern. There was a fridge in the room and they leave some treats for you too. I only met the staff on my last day there (because I was busy enjoying myself in the city lol) but he was super nice to me (sorry I don't remember his name) and helpful. The location was nice but I wish it could be (a little bit) nearby some places, although I could easily walk to another places. But the neighborhood is really interesting, with more locals, less crowded. I'd stay there again, for sure.

The location was the best thing about the property, we got the train to Florence and walked from the station very easily. We found the guest rooms with ease and they sign posted our name on the entrance which made the first day straight forward and easy to follow. We walked round Florence on the first day and on our way back to Althea, we found the best square for restaurants and bars which made us very happy to be so close, there are also lots of shops and bakeries close by and a local market in the square through the day. We felt very safe in this area, as well as the best area for food and drinks. The staff were also very friendly and full of advice for our travels. We loved the pastries and biscuits provided as we really were expecting this, and the air con and fridge (with a small freezer) were well needed and helped make our stay very comfortable. 10/10 for everything

A lovely little hotel on a quite street, close to the center. Staff was very welcoming, the place was spotless and they were very flexible with checking in and out. It's amazing value for the money considering the proximity to the historical places - you can easily reach them on foot. Everything was very clean, ample towels provided, complementary tea, coffee, sweets and mineral water. The bed was spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend!
