Probably best location in the town next to new harbor, with very nice view from the room (we were on 4th floor). Hotel can offer discounted parking (10€ a day) in harbor area. Next to old town - lift next to hotel takes you there. Close to the beach. Some good restaurants nearby.

Old air conditioner can hardly cool down the room running at max non-stop, has no display. The corridors are not conditioned at all. Breakfast area is not too bad, but choice is okish, always the same and it was not best of Italy. Beyond hotel. Town looks deprived and not well maintained, alcohol shops at every conner, a lot of immigrants hanging around doing nothing. Did not like that, not best part of Italy. Public beaches are not maintained - okish next hotel, but not in the town - a lot of rubish

Savannah the receptionist was wonderful and her welcome to the Sole Mare could not have been warmer. Our room was exactly like the description and photos, it was spotless and it had a comfy bed with great views. Breakfast was lovely with great choices to suit everyone and a plus great coffee was served with a wonderful greeting ....

The area in the days looks amazing facing a small harbour filled with beautiful boats ....but at night we were woken by shouting and horns of racing cars which is not the fault of the hotel. We understand we booked right in the harbour and it is very touristy but the screeching of the racing cars for a small harbour road was concerning considering we were parked along the road ... But for a younger traveler this might not be a problem...

Lovely 3-star hotel overlooking the new harbour at Ventimiglia. 10 minute walk from the station and 1 minute walk to the beach, with various restaurants close by, as well as an elevator to the stunning Old Town. The hotels own restaurant was excellent, and seemed to be regularly busy with non-residents as well. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Comfortable room, with good bathroom, and nice balcony with sea and harbour view.

Unfortunately, there is major construction work taking place to the left of the hotel as you look to sea. Our original room was on that side but they had no problem finding us one on the other side. This may be a problem if you were there for a length of time, but it didn't spoil our two days in any way. Obviously this is not the fault, or criticism, of the hotel in any way but may need to be taken into account. Also, a couple of previous reviews refer to 'private beach', which really isn't the case. Whilst it is right in front of the hotel, there is no 'deal' for sunbeds and umbrellas, and you will have to pay the normal (and typical) rate from the helpful guy who runs the beach.

Very nice location overlooking the new marina, on the sea-front, in a very quiet location Rooms and hotel have been renovated since my last visit pre-covid - it was always well finished, but now it's really great Nice buffet breakfast with good choice. Easy access to old town via an elevator near by. 10 minutes walk to the station Very friendly and attentive staff. Good value for money

The stay at Sole Mare was perfect for family holidays! We all enjoyed our stay. The staff was very nice and we felt very welcomed. The hotels location is perfect, the beach is just 2 minutes away and another sandy beach (very beautiful) was only 10 minutes away. The rooms were cleaned every day and the breakfast was very good. Theres a parking lot just around the corner which u have to pay for but it was worth it. Theres also parking lots for free infront of the hotel (if you find one). The staff speaks multiple languages so don't be afraid to ask if you can speak some german. The staff was also always very helpful and open to answer touristic questions. Perfect hotel for a getaway.

The breakfast could be a little more diverse but it was very good either way!

We stayed one week and enjoyed it a lot. The room was very clean and smelled nice and fresh. It was cleaned every day with fresh towels. The beds are comfortabel and we slept great, everything worked properly, tv, wifi, airco, shower, mini- fridge. The hotel is just in front of the beach with both paid and free beaches, the sea is calm and clean and visited by locals too. Parking is also available just in front of the hotel for free and on it‘s left is a supervised parkspace for 10€/ day. Next to the hotel are a couple of restaurants we tried two and both were great! We took the local bus, 5 minutes walk from the hotel and in 50 min arrived in San Remo, the next day we walked 15 minutes to the railstation and took the train to Nice, also 50 minutes, we enjoyed the ride along the sea-side. Breakfast was sufficient, and the coffee great. Every employee was forthcoming and friendly, the receptionists, the lady who served us coffee every day for breakfast, the cleaners we thank each and every one of them for their warm care and friendliness. We look forward to visiting Sole Mare again!

Clean room, Nice staff. Everything was as discussed. The hotel close to the sea, beautiful view to the harbor and close to the french border crossing :) Very good location.

Sometimes hard to find parking place but the street has parking house with 10 Euro/day.

Very nice renovation for this very welcoming, clean and comfortable hotel. A range of sweet and savoury breakfasts to suit all tastes. Room with balcony overlooking the marina. The staff are very welcoming and available to answer any questions.

A much larger selection for breakfast than we expected, very pleased with the scrambled eggs and bacon available. Nice pleasant room for eating your breakfast with two helpful staff and lovely view of the port and sea and coastline.

this hotel is very nice. they have very nice furnishings and decor. the staff is very nice too.

the hotel doesnt have any air exchange available. it was very hot in the room. you couldn’t turn on the fan or the a/c. the neighborhood is a little noisy at night so opening the windows wasnt an option. it made for a very uncomfortable stay.
