Superb Jabus! Everything about the resort feels premium and bespoke. Staff are amazing and the facilities are all spotless and super aesthetic. Hotel arranged lots of transfers for us and will handle anything for you. Unfortunately I was a little sick during this part of our trip so couldn’t explore the local areas that much but the room service was incredible and the food at the restaurant in general is 10/10. The breakfast options included was great too, pancakes were the best I’ve ever had. Feels like your own oasis and highly recommend.

The only thing to consider is that you can’t really walk to the main areas of Canggu but super easy and cheap to get a grab or taxi.

What did I not like!! My jabu was I N C R E D I B L E. The dream after 3 years of solid work. I came for a week and ended up extending my trip in Indonesia for a month. As a solo traveler I was a bit nervous the hotel would have too many honeymoon vibes… while it had all that, I felt completely comfortable on my own. Tbh I didn’t leave the hotel to the 2nd to last day of my stay which is really unlike me 😝 The staff were incredible especially the beautiful Mandy and wonderful Anton (but everyone made me feel like a best friend and I’m sorry for not name dropping everyone as too many to name) and for that I was truly grateful! The property is immaculate, decadent but totally comfortable and felt like your home-away-from-home (but much nicer than your own house haha ❤️). Loved everyone and everything and as a realist I’m going back for my last 3 nights in Indonesia. Perfect hospitality, perfect accommodation, perfectly perfect. As a result I’m going back for 3 more nights at the end of my trip.

There is nothing I didn’t like

One of the best places we've ever stayed. This was the second time we spent some time at Desa Hay. The place looks like paradise. The luxurious villas are brilliantly created with all the extra details you wouldn't even think of. They are very private, feels like you are in the middle of a Jungle. The cleanliness is spotless. The staff is extremely kind, welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious, the cocktails are unique that we had at the restaurant with a view to the picturesque pool. We enjoyed every moment we spent at Desa Hay and I'm sure we'll come back again. I only can recommend Desa Hay. A place you will never forget!

This place is like a private villa in a James Bond movie. Lovely design with lots of great details. Well trained and attentive staff. SUPER quiet. Fast internet and lots of outlets. Great tasting food. Easy to get to.

I'm picky, and only noticed two small things -- the kitchen was a bit slow to prepare the food (but the food is great and clean), and the furniture in our room needs felt pads so it doesn't scrape on the floor. Like I said -- these are nits. Everything else (and there's a lot that could potentially go wrong in any hotel) was flawless.

A super luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of Canggu. I have no words to describe the rooms' design including their amenities. The cleanliness is 10/10 as well. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the food (we dined twice at the restaurant) is very good compared to other hotels in Bali. I would like to say a huge thank you to Putri for bringing the doctors in 20 mins after my text of suffering from food poisoning!

One downside is that there is no fitness studio within the hotel. he location is okay however, you will definitely need a motorbike to get around Canggu (takes 15 mins) and also, the beach is not close by - you'll need the motorbike too (15 mins). However, you get to experience the whole jungle feel during your stay and that's the whole point right?

Attention to detail was immaculate. The rooms had everything we needed and more. The pool area is beautiful. The restaurant cocktails and food, including the breakfast, exceeded our expectations. Most importantly, all of the staff at this family run resort were wonderful and made us feel very much at home. Special mention to Eka in the dining area for all her help and kindness! Was also great to hear how the resort is giving back to the local community through its support of a nearby orphanage (Chloe Orphans Bali).

Be careful! You can't put 20/10! Perfect hotel+++ Everything was great So many attentions, gifts and beautifully equipped hotel, noble material. Many surprises( I won't tell all here and let future guests discover). It was hard to leave, a very special 5 stars+++ hotel we fully recommend. 2 nights was not enough. Good food , great pool, quiet place, bear Everything, luxurious materials and great good hearted people work there. Thanks for making our vacation so special. From the ladies at the réception, at the restaurant, the watchman, the cleaners and gardener. Thanks guys! We hope to come back.

The design of the hotel was beautiful, each cabin had privacy. There was a security all time and a pool. The room was very clean, all possible needs were anticipated and was ready at the room. Little compilmentary gifts such as sarongs. There was a free laundry service which was great if you are planing a long stay in Bali like us. Food was good the menu had multiple choices. The staff was reachable all time, they helped us renting a scooter. There was fresh filtered bottle at the room everyday. Also there was turndown service each night. Overall we loved our stay and definetly come back!

Everything was perfect but you need a scooter to reach downtown. It’s like a 12min Drive with motorbike

This is such a great facility. Very boutique small property. The whole place accommodates 12 people only. The rooms are quite big and decorated with Bali style. The plunge pool was sufficient for us however there is a nice communal pool as well in lovely garden surroundings. We had several meals at the restaurant and found the food to be excellent especially the breakfast offerings. The staff were fantastic and responsive. All correspondence is done via WhatsAp which worked well. The staff organised transport for us every day with no issues at all. The thing I liked most was that everything was included in the price:- a la carte breakfast, all snacks and non alcoholic drinks, gourmet tea and coffee.

If you are after lots of restaurants and shopping - this property is a bit away from any major roads ect - which is also a positive as it is quite. It is about 20 - 30 mins drive to the heart of Canguu.

Given that there are only 6 villas in this complex - the menu was excellent. We ate breakfast everyday in the villa and went out for some lunches and some dinners, so that allowed the menu to not become boring for us. the restaurant is open until 10pm every night Smoothies were yummy. Staff very attentive but by no way intrusive and everything is done on Whatsapp which we found great

This is a hard one because the location was far away if you are a walker and want to stroll the shops. However we just booked a driver and they came within 30mins to take us where ever we liked. The location was great if you just want to relax and have no noise around you so it was very peaceful.
