The property was clean and the towels were luxurious. Ana Catarina at the front desk was wonderful when we had to solve a problem with our booking. So pleasant to deal with.

Other than the breakfast included, everything was an additional charge. Even Nespresso pods left in the room were charged if used. And of course anything taken from the mini. At was charged. Seems quite petty when we spent over $5000 for the week. I would have expected free coffee and soft drinks at least. The lounge closed at 10:30 which was a bit early.

Gorgeous modern oceanfront property with stunning views. The suite was spacious and very comfortable for our family of 4. We used most of their amenities - the indoor heated pool was lovely, restaurant had great food and service, spa services were very relaxing, breakfast spread was varied and delicious. The staff were very warm and friendly, they even arranged for an evening with a babysitter in the business center with kids activities like coloring. All in all a great place that we can't wait to return to!

The views are amazing, the breakfast was awesome, and the pool was refreshing. The majority of the staff was extremely nice, with an exception of one, but that is usually the way. We did not let it ruin our opinion of the remaining persons who were kind, funny and hospitable- We really enjoyed the location and staff at the hotel, it was very nice.

I did not like being told i would have to eat in the room and not on the patio where there was NO ONE else eating. I also wish Housekeeping was consistent, as we were missed a couple times although we'd put the sign up. Not a big deal, really.

We saved this for the last 4 days of our trip and we are so glad we did. Perfect place to relax. The amenities are fabulous. Beautiful infinity pool, great lounging area around the pool with wait service. A great bar and restaurant, access to natural pools, an indoor pool with a dry sauna, and steam room. There is a spa on the property which we used and was a great experience. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It is only a short 20-minute drive into Ponta Delgado, so you can easily access the main city if you want to try different restaurants and take in some of the night-life, and then come back and unwind at this beautiful property with plenty of parking; which sometimes is an issue when staying in Ponta Delgado. 100% recommend Pedras Do Mar. 10+++!!

Beautiful property, right on the water with an infinity pool. The ocean view rooms are definitely worth it! Easy to get to from PDL airport despite not being in a major town. Gym and indoor pool / sauna area is very nice. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was nice.

Food was not the best, dinner was overpriced. Definitely recommend making reservations outside! The spa also has very limited availability so book in advance. Staff doesn’t all speak English very well so keep that in mind. Only other thing is the photos make it seem like the property is beach front - it is not, the ocean below the property is just a bunch of rocks.

Very good facilities, peaceful location near the sea. Restaurant was very good and had a daily vegan option, which was great. Staff very friendly. Pool was good, although smaller in practice than what might expect (half of it is one foot deep and seemingly just for show). Spacious parking.

Sound isolation between rooms not perfect; we could hear a baby crying in the room next door all night. The villages on either side of the hotel are not particularly picturesque. Finally, I would highly recommend getting a sea view room; we took a “mountain view” room, which is a fancy way of describing the hotel’s not-interesting-at-all view on the back side.

Directly at the coast, pedras do mar is a beautiful spot. You can walk directly to the cliffs and there’s one spot down at the water. The spa and wellness treatments were very good. The food was extremely good although it was not cheap.

Our room looked quite „used“, the bathtub was a little broken (room 102). The door to the balcony was squeaking. All in all really not a bad hotel - don’t get us wrong. But if you chose 5 stars, there’s room for improvement left and the „WOW-factor“ was missing. It was our honeymoon and we just received a card (which was handwritten - perfect!) but maybe a bottle of champagne as we got in our next apartment (which apparently is no 5 star hotel) would make the experience better and more special :) just as an example. So don’t hesitate to book, but these words are for pedras do mar to improve :)

From check in to checkout and everything in between, Pedras Do Mar and the team were exceptional! We landed very early in the morning from our flight and the team was grateful enough to check us in with zero issues, and with a kind reception. Our room was very large and roomy, facing the ocean. There is not a bad view on the entire property. It was a peaceful and calm stay. The restaurant, bar, spa were all spacious and clean. Entire staff greeted us with smiles and super helpful with any needs. The food at breakfast - all local - was perfection and kicked off each day with complete satisfaction. The grounds surrounding the property were also delightful. The different pathways leading towards to the ocean for a quick hike were dreamy. We are definitely going back and staying here!! It became a special place to us immediately.

Breakfast was nice ( though the same options everyday ) and not really any changes and the cafe is amazing with a view. the food quality could be better considering the amount they charge.

we were celebrating my wifes birthday and i requested them to make it special for us but they paid no heed to the request and i was left unsatisfied on that part. usually every hotel is able to accommodate such requests and considering the luxury they offer i was not expecting such a response.

Bar and dinner were overly expensive. Because it’s not in a large town, there were limited dinner options in the area except for their overpriced dinner and drinks compared to restaurants in town. Spa was overpriced as well and short changed me on time (paid for 80min massage and only got 70mins- I waited at the desk for 10 minutes prior to my appointment for anyone to arrive and they only started setting up the room at the time of the appointment and started my massage late). Also had limited massage appointments requiring us to adjust our schedule to even get an appointment
