Lovely quirky hotel in an excellent location. We had a great kitchen which was ideal for having breakfast. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked very nice.Delighted to get bottles of water whenever we asked for them. I would definitely stay there again.

Nothing to complain about really....we were on the 4th floor without a lift which was clearly stated on their site...bedroom side of the room was very low...would be totally unsuitable for a tall person.Also , it would have been nice to be able to open the windows wider, even though I realise it's a safety issue. Great hotel.

The facility design is superb! The atmosphere is just like in an old cinema, with projectors and other memorabilia displayed as decorations. Each room is named after a famous film, and there is a huge black-and-white photo of a scene from that film on the wall. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. And everything important is within walking distance.

Hardly anything. Stare Kino doesn't have an elevator, which could be a problem for some people, but I didn't really mind walking two storeys up or down.

Top location! Breakfast and staff are magnificent! Uniquie room design, comfortable size and many extra facilities, available in the rooms

1) WiFi in the room was very poor. At some point I was unaible to open the message, SmartTV was not working properly 2) In front of my window I had massive renovation/reconstruction works going on. Starting from 6.30-07.00 in the morning 3) Air Condition - there's non in the room. During hot summer days I really was missing one

Location was the best. Very good access to public transport and to the lovely pedestrian street and its attractions. Breakfast was delicious. Lodz is a lovely city to visit and the hotel is ideally placed to visit the nicer parts of it. Room was spacious but wireless signal was very poor (was on the 3rd floor).

Wireless connection was poor or non-existing in the bedroom, and bed was too soft.

The location of the hotel is excellent, as well as breakfast. My room was also spatious and interesting and with a specific topic from the 1970s Polish movies. The hotel staff is also very friendly.

I had to work online during my stay in the hotel. This was eventually a huge problem for me, as WiFi fluctuated greatly, but mainly with an extremelly limited connection. Work in the room was practically impossible.

very quick registration. it is apart hotel, so you will have to go 40 m to enter nextdoors. every room design theme is connected with a cinema masterpiece (we stayed at "titanic" room with a ship steering wheel, big globe and "times" newspaper's cover from the 15th of April 1912). the location is perfect, the heart of the old town, main walking street, Piotrkowska.

the asked me to provide my living address at the reception. very weird.

This is a fascinating old building, which is really handy for the main street but because it's in a lane off the street is very quiet. (The room was quite spacious. The one I was in has the ceiling slope so don't book it if you're over 5ft 7ins. I had to duck in places.)

Not much to quibble about really. The kitchenette could be slightly better equipped. Maybe a pot rather than just a frying pan.

Great hotel location just in the city center, yet very quiet. The hotel provides a historical atmosphere of Lodz city. Nice cinematography decoration and memorabilia everywhere. Spacy shower (combination of hand and ceiling). The room window is facing the north side, which keeps it chilly during summer days. Kitchenette with basic equipment, Parking just in front of the hotel entrance for 30 PLN/day.

Lift is not available (but it keeps the historical atmosphere of the location).

Good location, very central and few steps to the Main Street, nicely decorated and well equipped, stylish place, room thoughtfully designed, despite the small size intelligently laid out and well equipped; overall a cool location with a flavour of the history of the city.

It was very warm (summer) and the room has no air condition, unfortunately a window was open letting the warm air in. During the night, it can be a bit noisy, but this is not really a problem (complaining on high level....)

If you're a film buff, this is the place to stay in Lodz (the film capital of Poland). Each room is decorated in the style of a Polish or Hollywood classic, film posters line the staircases, there's a screening room for hotel guests and you can even grab some popcorn at the reception. The whole concept of a cinema residence is really nicely executed. Plus it is located right on Piotrkowska, the most exciting street in the city (or perhaps even whole Poland).
