Location was great. Brought my nephew for the BlackPink World Tour (Asia) for 1 night stay. The walk to the stadium was less than 10mins, very convenient. Only minus point to the location was it was located at the end of a one-way road. The taxi took a wrong turn and refused to drive us through and we had to stop on the main road to walk, which would be inconvenient to some if you have big luggage but for us was no problem as it was only for a night stay. The room size was great, easily able to accommodate 3 or even 4 pax. Cupboard sizes are great too. No safe box deposit in the room though. No slippers. No sleeping robes. Even came with small pantry area with a full size working fridge. Comes with basic toilet amenities. Was an old building, therefore, the walls are thick and solid with good sound proofing, unlike new hotels where the walls are so thin that you can even hear your next door showering. Even though the hotel was fully booked but we never heard any disturbances from next door or above unit. Good for budget travel. We paid premium, THB3200 for a night due to the concert.

Hotel does not collect credit card. Did not bring even cash and ended up had to search for money changer for extra cash. The water system may need to improve as it is still the old system of turning on each cold and hot water taps. The water turned cold and hot, at times. The shower head is located at such odd position that we had to perpetually stick ourselves to the wall when bathing. Alternatively, you will need to hold the shower head with one hand when showering. Had to climb into the bath tub for shower as that is where the shower head is located, can be quite dangerous for young children or elders. Bath tub is old with marks, dirt and chips. Mattresses and pillows are good but can do some refurbishing as the wooden plank of the headset are surfacing.

Excellent location. Most shopping malls were in walking distance and all the attractions that we wanted to visit were reachable. We mainly used the bus for getting around, which was fun! Very convenient location with a friendly staff and even though it is located quite near the main roads, it was quiet and peaceful. The room was very spacious and had a quite big refrigerator which was useful to us.

The rooms and the hotel is a bit old but very well maintained. Nothing specific that we didn't like as it was a very convinient stay for us in the last 3 days we spent in Thailand.

At first, I was a little skeptical about this hotel because it is located at the end of a street, the road leading to the hotel looks hidden, with construction and away from the main road. But after a night or two, I feel better because the road leading to the hotel is brigthly lit. One thing I do noticed when I check into the room is the cleanliness. The room was furnished in dark wood that made it look dark, but it is very clean, dust-free and spacious. So clean that the floor can be a bit slippery. However, please note that there are no safety box in the room. Also, I noted how fast the cleaning staffs does their job and that it has a security camera for the hallways so I feel safe leaving everything in the room. I originally booked the normal room, but the room looked dark so I asked for higher floor rooms. They said that the rooms will be available the next day so I asked for their deluxe room which has a balcony which is significantly better. I really enjoyed my stay with Pathumwan House because it reminded me of olden days of travel and hotel room - dark furnishing, spaciousness, and the familiar setting of interior.

Have a safety box in the room. The bathtub is slippery and it can be remedied by having an anti-slip mat for the guest. A small table and a chair for the balcony would be nice. It will be nice to be able to pay with a credit card instead of cash.

+ Located in a quiet alley + Large refrigerator (fridge style for family) + Strong water pressure, always warm water + Great setting for resort + Very close to BTS Ratchathewi + Near shopping areas: MBK - Siam - Central World... + Staff is very cute and enthusiastic + Easy to pick up technology cars: Grap - Bolt + Out of the alley, turn left (after crossing the bridge) are the food stalls + View of room 807 (Delux) has a city view overlooking the river and tram tracks

+ No safe box + The lights in the room are quite dark, even though there are many lights + Too many wooden cabinets + Small kitchen counter (almost unused) takes up a lot of space + The refrigerator is in a hidden corner, it is easy to forget the food in it + The wooden floor is quite slippery, need to be careful when walking

The quality-to-price ratio for this hotel is very high. The room and bathroom were in excellent working order and were cleaned daily. The staff was all smiles as much as humanly possible. The location of the hotel at a cul-de-sac is perfect for a visitor: not once was I awoken during my stay from noise around the hotel. Ratchathewi, National Stadium and Siam BTS stations are at most a 10 minute walk away and so is Hua Chang canal boat pier.

Despite staying for 9 nights (a friend stayed for 9 in another room as well), disappointed to to be charged 200 baht for losing a small card marking our luggage left with the staff after check-out.

Location is the best if you want to do shopping at MBK, Siam Centers & Central World or take day trip to Ayutthaya/bus to Outlet Mall. Nearby there have a very good massage center and plenty of choices for street-food breakfast. MRT stations are very close to the hotel (National Stadium & Siam). At night, it is quite quiet for sleeping. Our room is spacious, even it can be fit for 5-6 people. There has a dining room so that we can order Grab food to eat in our room. Staffs are very nice, allowing us to have early check-in with free of charge. In this hotel, there has a weight so that we can weigh our luggage before going to our airport.

One window can not be locked properly for security safety. Staff asked to change to the other room. However, we were still in this room because we stayed in the 4th floor. Noone could climb up to our room to steal our stuffs.

My 06th stay with them..... Always preferred due to its amazing location ,Easy access to many attraction and must visits.. Its really good if your are looking for good value accommodation in hush hush of Bangkok , Its clean , big room and staff is very helpful , birds kept on premises are soothing to hear ,Good WIFI

On my recent stay the construction work around was very noisy , Hotel does not have iron or laundry service, NO restaurant but your can always order through online apps.

- Location close to BTS Ratchachewi (8 min walk) and Siam square, lots of good malls and restaurants! But since the hotel is tucked away in an alley not a lot of street noise :) - Big room and big bed (I think size bed around 180cm) - Clean linens and towels - Comfortable bed albeit on the firmer side (which we personally like) - Pretty good value for money - Option to store your luggage after check out in the lobby

-No option to turn of AC, gets really chilly during the night -Very slippery floors, be careful with socks! -Room is quite dark and not well lit -Bathroom kinda small and bit run down -Wifi is open and unsecured

This hotel is a rare gem. The rooms are the biggest you will ever find. They are designed primarily for long term stays, so they are more like studio apartments with a kitchenette, full bathroom and storage. There is a proper desk for your computer and the WiFi is very fast. I once lived and worked in one of these rooms for over a year and was very comfortable. The location is extraordinarily quiet for Bangkok because it is bordered by small roads, an old community without roads, and a canal. So you will get relief from the constant dull roar of Bangkok traffic. Incredibly, the hotel also has uniquely good access to public transport. It is a short walk from two BTS stations (Ratchathewi and National Stadium) that are each on different BTS lines. So you can get anywhere in Bangkok and beyond quickly, cheaply and safely. Great if you have small children and don't like the idea of using taxis without seat belts or child restraints. As an added bonus, the hotel is also next door to the fast and fun canal boats. That said, you can easily walk a few blocks to the most spectacular shopping malls in Bangkok and excellent street food and restaurants (find the wonderful Esarn restaurants on Petchaburi Road near Soi 12). However, the best feature of the hotel is the staff. They all speak great English and can tell you lots of things about Bangkok. They seem to have a great work culture as the same people have worked there for over 10 years.

The stay ended too soon. I wish I could have stayed much longer.

Plenty of space in the room. Did not feel crowded as you walked around. The amenties of having a refrigerator were great and we bought our own microwave. Lots of clset space to hang clothes and not have to live out of the suitcase.

The contruction was extremely noisy. And while it gtook part during the day time, it still shook are room and difficult to relax. We were moved, but still could hear the noise. Staff was understanding.
