You cannot beat the location! Perfect for travelers who want to spend the majority of their time on the beach. There are many shared lounge areas with tables and great views to sit and enjoy food or drink. They also provide chairs and umbrellas.

We have family in the area so we stay in Laguna Beach often and have stayed at various properties. This is an older refurbished hotel but we paid premium price--had higher expectations for what we paid. We had a suite with literal glass shower doors separating the bathroom from living area and bedroom. It was a strange design choice as the doors had about a 2 inch gap all around and luckily my husband and I aren't shy because you could hear everything when using the toilet. Also, the hotel next door was doing construction and it was extremely loud, starting at 8am every morning. It would have been nice for the hotel to have given a discount since there's no way they weren't aware--this was major construction with jackhammers and everything.

Breakfast was small pastries, Bagels, English muffins, etc. Coffee was very good and very strong which was awesome. Hearing the ocean was amazing while I slept. The rooms are large and comfortable. We had a room off the deck on the top level and I would definitely stay at this level again if we came back to this hotel. It was also really nice that there was a trolley stop right outside the hotel and we were able to take that all throughout Laguna.

Construction next door was very loud and was sort of like our alarm clock every day because we could not sleep any later when the construction started.

The staff was excellent. They handled special requests very quickly, provided assistance when needed. The rooms are large and comfortable with a nice space for a kitchenette (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, sink) and table. Good size bathroom. Nice little balcony overlooking the pool. There's beach access but lots of stairs depending on where you start. Thank goodness for the auxiliary parking lot.

Beds were WAY too soft. Worn down I would say. And hooks are needed in the bathroom to hang clothes and towels.

Our stay at Capri Laguna in Laguna Beach was fantastic! The location couldn’t be better—you’re right on the beach, with the waves just steps away, and a short walk along the sand takes you to the city center. And there are also many great shops, bars, restaurants, and cafes right next door to the hotel itself which makes the area super walkable. Plus, the hotel offers free parking, which is a big bonus. What really stood out, though, was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff, especially Nick and Bachir, were incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. They even upgraded our room, giving us a stunning ocean view that made our stay extra special.

Hotel should strongly consider implementing quiet hours after 9:00 p.m. Our last night, the people in the room next to us played loud music and were very noisy until about 2:00 a.m., despite asking the front desk to call them to quiet down. Overall, we loved the place, but the last night was frustrating as we had to get up to fly out the next morning.

Simply put, it was great. Nick and Bachir, the general manager and receptionist respectively, were extremely caring and polite. We asked if a room with sea views was still available and they made it happen. Thanks again! The location in Laguna Beach is also perfect, not too close to the very touristy places but within easy walking distance. The property is right on the beach and you can sit on the beach and watch the amazing sunset while having dinner if you bring your own food. The property was also very clean which is probably the most important thing for me when staying in a hotel. The price is totally ok. We have stayed in other places in Laguna Beach before and they were not worth the money. We will be back.

Very happy with the whole stay.

Right on the beach with the sound of waves crashing. You could sit on the sand under one their umbrellas, go for a swim in the ocean, or sit and relax on one of their many decks. Every morning we would grab breakfast from the lobby and go to the highest deck, and enjoy the view. The staff, especially Nick the manager, were always friendly and accommodating. They had wine and cheese in the lobby one night. They even gave us tickets to the Pageant of the Masters performance. We had a room on the lower level with a small beautiful garden just off the balcony. The foldout bed for our daughter was surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom and kitchenette had fairly recent updates. The water pressure was perfect, and there was always hot water.

The pool was a little too warm for the daytime. Probably nice at night and I’m the winter.

This was our second time staying at Capri Laguna on the Beach! We just love it there! It's an interesting hotel, perched above the rocky coast, and feeling very Old World Italy! Depending on the tide, you can walk the beach directly below or watch the waves, dolphins, and surfers. We always leave our window or balcony door cracked open to enjoy the sounds of the waves crashing below as we sleep. The location is ideal - quiet, but walking distance to the Main Beach, delicious restaurants, and boutique shopping.

Ocean front, sound of the ocean, fantastic! No road noise. Large room sufficient to store 4 large cases and plenty of space to walk around. Balcony with table chairs and lounger. Housekeeping daily kept us in fresh towels and bedding, excellent. Welcoming staff & reception area with gas lit fire much appreciated. Staff courteous and helped with luggage, gave us a trolley bus map for ease of accessing town & restaurants. We went to Sapphire for brunch & dinner just a short walk away, good range of food & drink.

We had a wonderful stay at this place, which is located directly at the beach (you just go down a few stairs, no streets in between). Nick, Bashir and their staff had been very friendly and helpful. There was good free continental breakfast buffet, a bit better compared to the average 3-star hotel. They also had beach chairs and sunshades freely available for anyone to grab. Generally we liked the relaxed atmosphere, where not every item has to be paid for extra. Good Laguna Beach restaurants and roof top bars are nearby, everything was walkable. There's also a free bus/trolley with a stop directly at the hotel. Note that the hotel has a little bit of a used look and feel. We like such hotels, though. Also, the room we had was very clean, its interior had been refurbished recently it seems.

For a 3-star hotel, our room rate overall was a bit overpriced, even for an ocean view room (which was great btw.).
