Easy to find, close to things to do but we didn't go far as we wanted to relax and everything we needed was right there! Excellent food, wine and coffee just steps away yet being in the room felt private and quiet. Live jazz music in the courtyard last night was perfect during dinner. The staff was amazing; so friendly and accommodating. I didn't want to leave and I can't wait to go back!

Nothing I didn't like. I jokingly told the owner I thought we may be able to smell coffee since our room was above the coffee shop but that wasn't the case. Couldn't hear anything down there either though and we like to sleep in so all good!

The Reserve Retreat was an absolute gem find in what is a very expensive part of Sarasota. My room was like a mini apartment, with its own full kitchen, completely renovated interiors, and a super cushy and nice bed. The hostess was super kind and even gave me a free bottle of wine when I arrived. They have a cafe for food at all hours including breakfast (which you did have to pay for). I loved it!

The room was on the first floor and was clearly attached to a laundry room and another storage room, which is fine. But the light was on and stayed on all night, so there was a little light spilling from the cracks. Also, the blinds on the door don't fully cover the door and someone standing by the door could've see into the room. Luckily, no one did (and it's not really in a sketchy area anyway).

Very clean and cute place with amazing people and rooms.

Our room, unfortunately for us, was 20-30 feet from the stage where they do nightly weekend events/shows from 7:30-9:30/10pm and outdoor dining room. If you like that kind of thing, it’s really cool to be able to have drinks, listen to music, and then go to your room without worrying about driving anywhere. But that wasn’t our thing so the owners were very kind about accommodating us and letting us leave early so we could stay somewhere else for our anniversary. They also have other properties (all booked that weekend, unfortunately for us) so I would definitely recommend calling ahead of time so they can help you will picking a room that fits your needs.

This is an amazing, unique, and historical venue for a stay. The staff were all phenomenal and very friendly, going above and beyond, even at their busiest time. Lori, Richard, Ashley and the gang were so attentive, making sure we were comfortable while our rooms were finished before check-in.

We were expecting some music on patio Saturday night, however, it was very warm out which limits outside enjoyment. Our door leading into our building needs a little TLC so it doesn't catch the bricks.

The young lady with the tattoos (we didn't catch her name) was so so friendly and helpful. She gave us lots of tips for the local area and beyond, ensured we had water for our trip when we vacated and was just generally a joy. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room decor was beautiful and stylish. There was complimentary wine in the room and coffee complimentary to guests in the bar downstairs. Locations was close to a park perfect for viewing sunset, a decent Mexican restaurant just up the Road, a short uber or walk into downtown and shirt drive to the Ringling. There's a restaurant on site if you wish to eat there. We only had breakfast. Parking free and easy

The lighting in the room was quite low so difficult to see after daylight hours. Our bathroom sat above the stairs to the restaurant...there was a large gap between the wall and ceilling overlooking the stairway which felt invaded our privacy a little and we could hear music and staff downstairs preparing for breakfast early in the morning. (luckily we were awake) The shower wasn't too great.

What a fantastic little one night getaway at the Reserve!! I can't believe I took this long to post about my wonderful experience back in July, staying in the room, Bayside Bliss. It was exactly what I was hoping for at this historic venue... something quaint, clean, comfortable, seamlessly combining history with modern updates. Sarah, their GM, was white glove service start to finish... took calls with questions later/after typical business hours on a Friday night, carried bags up to the room and gave a full tour (LOVE the locking system, so easy but so secure!), arranged for me to get a bottle of wine in my room, tickets to a sold out event and so on and so on. Seriously, all the staff I encountered showed a serious commitment to making all of their guests have an enjoyable experience.. which I definitely did and therefore I look forward to another stay.

Plenty of convenient parking, it would have been a little easier to navigate my luggage if it was paved parking in the lot across from the Reserve, that's all.

The Reserve was a hidden little gem! The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The towels were so soft!!! The room had everything we needed. Check in was crazy easy-the barista was super sweet and shared some info on the room and other accommodations. Breakfast the next morning was so delicious!!! We had the dining room all to ourselves and we loved perusing the bookshelves while we waited on our food.

The only downside was the morning coffee was not great. It was a little too bitter even with cream and sugar (which I don’t usually use).

This is a quaint older facility that is located just 3 miles from St Armand’s Circle. We enjoyed our stay as we were centrally located to everything. We did listen to the band (ends by 9), which was a nice finish to our evening. There is an $8 per person charge to listen to the band. We received a complimentary bottle of wine. The bed was really comfortable. Plenty of parking and super helpful staff.

The squeeky wood floors made us cringe for the people below us lol. There is no such thing as quietly moving around.

Everything was great! the ladies were so nice, and made us feel very welcome! the coffee in the mornings was just the thing to get us out and going, the location was perfect for us! we were going between family and then day of departure, airport is 10 mins away. and Oh...the soft fluffy towels were the bomb!

could hear the people above us in even and early morning, not a big deal. but definitely noticed.

Cozy quaint New England style guest house with welcoming atmosphere in a great location. Convenient coffee shop and restaurant onsite serving great meals & coffee drinks. Outside patio with entertainment some nights. Complimentary bottle of wine in the room. Helpful & friendly staff.

The main house sits close to Tamiami Trail so there is some traffic noise, but not so significant as to disturb our sleep.
