Comfortable, very clean room with a large bathroom. There is also a small but romantic balcony with a very nice view. Very good breakfast (buffet). The guesthouse staff is nice. The guesthouse is located in the very center of the city, but in a side street. Thanks to this, you don't have to look at the crowds of tourists and it is quiet. There is a restaurant in the guesthouse. In my opinion it has good food at a better price than other restaurants. To enjoy your visit to this city, you need to live there for a while - two or more days. The city is cool and has a nice atmosphere only in the morning and evening. From about 10 a.m. what you don't want begins... Thousands of tourists... But you can organize interesting trips to various places and enjoy the city in the evening. When I arrived, I wanted to run away, but I had a guesthouse reservation! But in the evening I enjoyed the city and the guesthouse, which I recommend...

Huge room on the top floor with two balconies and partial view of the lake. The view was spectacular and unexpected. Exceptionally clean. A perfect sunny space to do my yoga. Very central location and lots of signage pointing the way, so easy to find. Interesting staff...check in was quick and efficient. The older lady with the glasses is an interesting and somewhat intimidating character. At breakfast day one she was very stern. I asked if there was gluten free bread and she mumbled something in German that I took as a no. She was a bit scary! Then on day 2 I came down to breakfast and she actually smiled at me and there was a basket on my table with gluten free bread rolls! Do make sure you sit at the table that has your room number!

Nothing I didn't like, you just have to be prepared for the quirky staff.

Amazing location with amazing room and balcony. We just really loved how the room felt so cozy. Breakfast was great too, plenty of variety and just overall great.

A bit of a downside is that the staffs seemed to be so busy that they didn't really have the time to converse or even occupy the reception. The "receptionist" was the chef too so he was nowhere to be found sometimes. We also didn't know that restaurants here in Hallstatt were closed at 7 pm during winter! So to our surprise, we couldn't eat at the restaurant since they were already closed. So beware everyone :D

Spacious room with 2 balconies with nice partial lake views on one side. Very clean, convenient location and easy to get to many of the attractions. Friendly staff and a good breakfast spread.

Would have been great if a kettle is provided.

We lived on the third floor with a balcony with a mountain view. A charming hotel in a great location. After an intense day, it was good to relax in a comfortable bed. Several pillows for each. There was also a lift if needed. Breakfast was normal with a variety of options and the wifi connection was average. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. They allowed us to keep our baggage after checking out for several hours.

There was no kettle in the room, only two glasses. The photos provided in Booking were a bit misleading because in them rooms looked bright and modern, full of natural light, but they lacked that natural light and looked a bit aged. And the view through the balcony was a bit disappointing, you could see the mountains and that lovely town, but half of the view was covered by the roof of the big house in front of you.

The hotel is very well located. The rooms are fully renovated, very spacious and the view is great. One of our rooms had a beautiful view to the lake. Beds were comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel offers really good food at a fair price. There was a vending machine at the hotel, which was very practical for buying water and other goods. The elevator was wide and worked well. We were welcomed with small chocolate tablets in the rooms.

The heating system did not work, so the rooms were really cold. Sleeping was ok, though, because the blankets were very heavy and warm. The wifi was off, so we had to use our mobile network. Checkin started only at 3pm, which is kind of late. We did get to leave our bags at the reception as we arrived and after checkout, but there wasn't much space for the luggage and it was open to the main hall and the front door. Breakfast started only at 8am, which was late for us, and did not have so many options of food.

Perfect location. Beautiful views. Well stocked, everything you need to cook a large meal. Large apartment. Comfortable beds. Very quiet at night. Great shower pressure. Plenty of storage for your clothes and other items. Dishwasher was convenient.

Warm at night, even with AC on coldest setting. The deck railing is solid and high, so you can’t see the lake while sitting on the nice, big deck. The apartment above us may have had a better view, although smaller deck. Gorgeous view when standing though.

Location was spot on. Easy to find. Comfortable beds with warm duvet. (Didn't like the pillows though) Easy check in. Very clean. Own private balcony. Friendly staff. Great breakfast options.

Only serving breakfast, not an option for lunch / dinner as the restaurant was shut & not even open to hotel guest. Pillows were extremely high, could not get comfortable as bent neck, ended up sleeping without. The coffee.

Our stay was perfect. Hotel has a great location in the center of Hallstatt. The room was very clean with all described facilities. The lake view from the room was as described as well. Hotel offers awesome breakfast. Besides that you can visit hotel restaurant and enjoy meals anytime (within their working hours) at reasonable price. We had breakfast included and additionally we visited restaurant for a dinner, which was really convenient. Staff was very friendly. Check-in and check-out was quick and smooth. Luggage can be stored in hotel before check-in. Highly recommend this hotel!
