Very clean, modern and comfortable, everything you need in the room, power points, charging points, kettle etc comfortable bed, lovely shower with large rain shower head and additional handheld shower. Small shops walking distance, bus stop outside, I walked to the town took about 20-25 mins, easy access from M1, despite being central and on a busy road was very quiet and peaceful during my stay.

I was asked if I wanted my room doing after my 1st night which I didn’t need, I stayed Thursday-Monday and it was not cleaned or offered again, maybe because this was over the weekend but I could really have done with a hoover and cloth!

Stayed here with my Mum for a few nights - we went to see Les Mis at the Utilita Arena. The staff are fantastic! DJ Laura (the late shift member of staff) was fab - she was so welcoming and friendly and played songs from musicals Friday night for my Mum and I whilst we sat and played cards in the bar! Sharon was brilliant and made breakfast every morning fun and entertaining! The rooms were nice and comfortable and the bathroom was clean with a lovely rainfall shower head.

Bathrooms in the single rooms we stayed in were quite compact and breakfast timings are earlier than you might expect - not too much of a problem but just something to be aware of when looking at booking here!

The staff, the location and value for money are the standout features at The Osborne. We stayed over Christmas in order to spend our days with local family, and each morning we were greeted by the lovely Kiran, always asking how our previous day had been & spending a few moments chatting, we noticed she had time for everyone & was extremely kind & considerate of solo travellers. The breakfast was a simple selection of food cooked really well & delivered quickly. I can see why a few reviews mention the slightly older decor, but honestly, everything was clean and fitted perfectly with the pricing. They accommodated our request for a walk in shower rather than over - the-bath. We would absolutely stay again.

We wondered if it might be a bit busy in the area during term time ? And light sleepers may hear the metro. This was not a problem for us.

Good price, very friendly staff. I was there as my husband was undergoing assessment for a double lung transplant so it was a stressful time and I was there mostly myself. Staff enquired about him daily and made me feel relaxed during my stay. Nothing was too much and if I needed anything I just had to ask. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious enough to meet my needs.

No lift although it does state this. It was fine for me but my husband really struggles with stairs. I’d have loved a bath but I think I could have requested a room with a bath, I just didn’t think about it as too much going on in my head.

Lovely hotel, room was spotlessly clean, nice room with very comfy beds. Great location in Jesmond. What really made our stay was the staff. I travel a lot and I have never found such lovely friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. I was travelling with my dad who has dementia and the staff were so kind and helpful, thank you 😊 it makes such a difference!! Breakfast was lovely, I was surprised at how much choice. We had a lovely full English which also come with coffee/tea, plus fresh juice and toast with butter and Jam. We had a fantastic stay and I will definitely stay again when in the area.

This is a small, family run hotel. The staff have mostly been there long term (I've stayed here in the past) and are extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, shower clean, powerful and hot and breakfast is excellent -(waitress service) and served in a beautifully decorated period dining room. The Jesmond metro is 8-10 minutes walk away and surrounding Jesmond area has independent shops, great bars, restaurants and cafes.

There was a slight drainy smell in bathroom which I didn't report as was only there 1 night. I don't doubt that this problem would have been rectified if I had reported it.

Great location in Jesmond. Nice cafe only a few minutes walk down the road for a great breakfast, bit pricey but it was lovely. Perfect hotel and rooms for a group of mixed ages on a 40th birthday celebration. Rooms pretty basic but clean (some of the en-suites look to have been upgraded-mine included👍🏻). The shower was fab, powerful and red hot. Bed comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities, good mirrors in all the rooms we had (we had all the singles plus a double). Couldn’t fault the room for the price really. Great bar in the reception/lobby and drinks really reasonably priced. Reception staff were lovely and really friendly. On returning to my room on the 2nd night, the lock to my room broke and I couldnt get in🙈Reported to security guard on reception who phoned the owners at home (who were in bed as it was after midnight). He explained the situation and they came to the hotel within the hour. Tried for some time to mend the lock, they then removed the mechanism so at least I could get into my room. Because the room would be left unsecure, they gave me the choice of moving into the room next door so I felt safe whilst I slept! The owners were really apologetic but it was just one of those things and for me, the customer service was top notch x

Good location, great and very helpful staff, decent restaurant, nice non greasy breakfast, and cheap too. I paid £93 for 2 nights in a single room with breakfast included. Room itself was quite small but bed comfortable. Housekeeping missed my room when replenishing after the first night but very quck to remedy that when I raised it. Small details let things down a bit but not much, shower had beginnings of mould around the tray where it had been badly sealed by someone who was clearly not a professional for example, but overall, for the money, it was very good indeed. I would stay there again with no hesitation at all.

Breakfast hours too short, minor issues with maintenance. Very little to complain about.

Every staff member was so friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice, nice view from our room (Rm 4), nice modern shower/bathroom, was lovely and warm in the room, the beds were exceptionally comfortable got a great sleep!, couldn’t hear neighbours at all. We had a walk into the centre (about 15 minutes) was a pleasant short walk, Would definitely stay again next visit to Newcastle 😊

Only about 2/3 parking spots behind the building, we had to park on the street side, was a little worried about our van been broken into 😟 but upon leaving it was fine!.
