A delightful, quiet, comfortable property hidden away in the back streets close to the city walls and the famous Pont d’Avignon. It’s also close to all the sites as the old city is very walkable. It even has a view of the back of the Papal Palace from the balcony. We had the suite on the top floor for the two of us as a couple, but someone with kids could use the second bedroom which has two singles in it. The suite also has a large terrace which gets the evening and morning sun and has a table and deck chairs on it. The room is spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was typically French, with lots of fruit, yoghurt, pastries, bread, jams coffee etc, but no hot choices. The owner is helpful and friendly and full of information about the city and area and seemed to be genuinely delighted to prepare and loan us two of the resident bikes to go for a day out! Would thoroughly recommend. Also Luana, the large shaggy retriever is also very friendly!

A bit tricky to find as the signage is very discreet!

Olivier was a gracious and incredible host. Very communicative and eager to help ensure our (and everyone's) stay in Avignon was exceptional. Best sleep for us yet in Europe - good beds, quiet neighborhood. We here here in early June and the evening temps were perfect to keep the windows open. Garden was beautiful and Luna, the dog, was sweet. Very good location - highly recommended!

Beautiful, tastefully decorated house, extremely well located within an easy walk from the Pope's Palace and other attractions. The host was extremely attentive and kind and provided lots of tips on what to visit. Breakfast was excellent (croissants sublime) and the room had a superb view towards the Pope's Palace. We drove there and the host provided a parking space in the courtyard in front of the house (needs to be reserved in advance). A haven of peace which was great to retreat to after a busy day's sightseeing.

There was nothing we didn't like!

This is a special property. Absolutely beautiful room, comfortable beds, gracious hosts. So happy we booked a place within the city walls. Olivier even made sure I had gluten free options for breakfast. We enjoyed the Luberon lavender tour through Get Your Guide App.

Our room was on the third floor up a staircase. Not a problem for us but might be for those with mobility issues.

The host Jean Yves was friendly and helpful. The room itself was very elegant - everything in Chinese style. The courtyard garden was a nice place to have breakfast. The breakfast itself was very good.

There was nowhere to plug in the bedside light on my side of the bed! Also, there's no proper division between the bedroom and the bathroom and toilet.

What a gorgeous B&B! It is like something out of a movie. Olivier was so welcoming (and helpful with tricky car maneuvring) and a friendly, attentive host. The house is perfectly situated in the town (under 10 min walk to major sites and great restaurants) but feels really secluded and peaceful. Highly recommend staying here!

Villa de Margot is a beautiful property. It is very clean, very comfortable, and Olivier is an exceptional host. The breakfast is plentiful and so delicious, enjoyed on the terrace under a shady mulberry tree. There is parking on site if needed, and bikes and kayaks are available. The location is also excellent. We hope we will return one day.

Nothing! The house is 3 levels so there are lots of stairs but it didn’t bother us.

Excellent location within the walls of Avignon. Oliver is an excellent host and offered very helpful advice regarding restaurants and things to do. Recommend highly!

No complaints whatsoever. The only thing to bear in mind is that you should get instructions in advance as to how to enter as there is a double gate. Also, a bit tricky if you have an SUV but, again, Oliver came to the rescue.

Friendly host with cozy environment, amazing local food recommendation. Spacious room with nice decor, clean and tidy, had a great time!

A bit far if arriving by public transport (pebble stoned roads in Avignon were a bit of a hard work when carrying large luggage)

Such a lovely place to stay, comfortable rooms, amazing views of the Palais des Papes and delicious breakfast. The hosts were just lovely - really accommodating, friendly and helpful (particularly on how to entertain a toddler in Avignon - thanks to their suggestion we ended up having a wonderful trip to an old cinema round the corner to see four short children's animations, which we'd never have known about otherwise). Indeed, they were great at pointing us in the direction of the town's less well-known cultural highlights as well as its more familiar ones. And the (very beautiful) house is in a fantastic location - as central as can be yet peaceful. Would definitely recommend.
